On Fees and Eligibility

Q:   What is the latest cutoff information for admission to B.Sc at Nehru College of Aeronautics and Applied Sciences?

A:

NCAS, like many universities in India, does not publicly disclose specific cutoff scores for admission to their programs. This practice is followed for several reasons:

  • Dynamic Cutoffs: Cutoffs are determined after the application process is complete and depend on various factors like the number of applicants, their scores, and the availability of seats. This makes them dynamic and subject to change every year. Publicly announcing cutoffs could lead to misinterpretations, as they might not be applicable for the upcoming admission cycle.

  • Selection Process: Selection is often based on a combination of factors, including entrance exam scores (if applicable), academic performance in previous studies, and sometimes even interviews. Focusing solely on cutoffs might not provide a complete picture of the selection process.

  • Fairness and Transparency: Disclosing cutoffs publicly could potentially unfairly disadvantage future applicants who might base their application strategies solely on past cutoffs, which might not be relevant for their year of application. NCAS is likely committed to conducting a fair and transparent admission process for all applicants.

The infrastructure of our college is good.
Placements: IATA and AMADEUS courses are taught along with the degree as extra certification. Internships at CIAL Academy can be experienced through college. Sports events are conducted. The teachers are helpful. We must try on our own to get a job than depending on the campus interviews which is not promised by the college.
Infrastructure: The food tastes bad, and the hostel has poor quality. There are some insects in food. I don't find medical facilities here, except for Volini Spray. We don't have college Wi-Fi. The canteen is just okay. The food is adjustable. Sports events are conducted, and awards are given. Quiz competitions are also conducted.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful and friendly with students. As of now, semester exams are held online. There are no offline classes. There are two universities, Lincoln University and Alagappa University.
Other: Events and fests must be improved. Surroundings should be improved.

Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) - Batch of 2018

Satisfied but not completely.
Placements: We have to search for our placements. Seniors went for job by clearing some of the MODULE exams. At the first the salary will not be satisfied it will be very low. But after some experience and clearing maximum MODULES you can get a very good salary. Along with AME course they provide B.Sc. (Aircraft Maintenance Science) and Diploma in Airport Ramp services. No campus interview in this college. You all want to search for your own job.
Infrastructure: No Wi-Fi facility. All classes are provided with smart class facilities. All classrooms and labs are properly maintained. But safety precautions in Labs are less. Hostel rooms are within the campus. Mess food is average. 24*7 security is available. Library and computer labs are well preserved and maintained. At first year in hostel there will be 6 students for a room. And in second year there will be 3 in your room. Outing time for hostel students in working days are from 4.30 pm to 7.30 pm and in holidays its from 8 am to 8 pm. Playground is not available in this campus.
Faculty: All faculty members are well qualified and experienced in aeronautical field. They are really helpful to the students during your studies. Teachers are moving very friendly with all students. Disciplinary officers are very rude in talking. During your 2nd and 5th semesters you all will be taken to an industrial visit.
Other: Yearly once College cultural function is conducted along with the Sports day and the Inter college day. Sports day is conducted in the Nehru College of Engineering and Technology campus. Onam function is celebrated grandly. All students will be taken to Sulur air festival.

Please don't waste your money and your child life.
Placements: For B.Sc. courses, there are no placements, but this college is good for aircraft maintenance engineering which has good placements. The placements are very poor for B.Sc. and BBA aviation courses. Even the faculty are less for those two courses. Please don't join in this college for B.Sc. and BBA.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is very poor because there is only one block for whole BCS, AME, and BBA. In fact, the hostel is bigger than the study campus. There are only four flights and helicopters which is good to see, please don't join this college. Also, there are no sports and other extracurricular activities. There is poor maintenance in restrooms, hostels, and hostel food. Overall, the infrastructure is worst.
Faculty: The faculty members are very worst because both external and internal are the same. In BBA, there are only two or three faculty members for 6 subjects. The lab faculty are good, but there is no faculty to explain the parts to the students. But for aircraft maintenance engineering, the courses good and has experienced faculty.
Other: In this college, events, fests, and extracurricular activities are simply waste.
