Good for PG, Especially for Surgery and Gyno.
Placements: As far as medical colleges don't work on a placement basis. But the students of NSCB are doing well throughout the country. Few departments have gained popularity in recent years. The college may have more workloads but having a less toxic atmosphere. It attracts patients from 200-300km surroundings with a good number of patients. Surgery at this college is the best in Central India.
Infrastructure: Infra is not as good as central medical colleges due to a lack of funds. But a few departments are nicely placed. Wards are in decent condition. Hostels are majorly old. Few are new hostels for PGs. So don't expect excellent infrastructure. Basic amenities are present.
Faculty: Faculty are well qualified. Many are internationally recognized at the international level. Eg. Dr. Dhananjay Sharma. For UG, you will get good exposure in departments. In PG, the academic world is less but hands-on is more. From the 1st year, you will get good exposure to OTs.
Other: If you are taking admission in PG courses following points should be kept in mind - For Gyno, it's the second-best college in Madhya Pradesh with loads of patients. The number of beds is more and you will get hands-on exposure in the 1st year as well. For Surgery, it's the best college in central India, better than GMC Nagpur, Indore, and GSVM Kanpur. This is the one branch for which you shouldn't doubt the college. Workloads are high in the 1st year as you would be in-house. There are 6 units with more than 250 exclusive beds in this department. Dr. Dhananjay, during his HOD period, led this department to the Next level.
