NIT KKR placement and fest reviews.
Placements: In 2023, out of 92 students, 90 students were eligible, and out of these 86 students got placed in companies. The lowest salary package offered was 6 LPA, and the highest salary package offered was 15.66 LPA. The average salary package offered was 9.55 LPA and the median salary package offered was 8.75 LPA. Overall in 2023, placement session was good.
Infrastructure: In NIT KKR, MCA department has combined a building with MBA department. There are big classrooms with air conditioners and projectors through which the teachers present their PPTs. Students can also use this for PPT. There is also a computer attached to it to make our classroom experience better.
Faculty: In NIT KKR, every teacher is very knowledgeable. Lectures are held by all professors and lab is held by all PDF scholars. Course curriculum of MCA is so good. They update the syllabus from time to time According to our industry, exam difficulty level is a little more than moderate.
Other: There are two fest sessions in NIT KKR one is confluence which is a cultural fest. The duration of this fest is 4 days. During first two days, dance teams from different colleges come to compete. On the last two days, there is DJ Night and another star night where a celebrity visits.

B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2028

Great place to begin with!
Placements: This year, the intake was 120 students for CSE for the year 2023-2024. Placements were decent but not as good as previous years, mostly due to the recession. Yet, the average for CSE was 17 LPA, with the highest package being about 64 LPA in CSE. The good thing about the college is that this year, most branches hit the highest package above 40 LPA, except civil. Overall, the median for B.Tech is above 9 LPA.
Infrastructure: It has good infrastructure, and a very green and serene campus. Classes and labs are decent. LAN is available in hostels with a maximum speed of 90 to 100 Mbps. The food in the mess is quite good, and students themselves can manage the quality and menu of the food. NO NON-VEG IS ALLOWED ON THE CAMPUS.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-qualified and helpful. But what I feel is that they lack enthusiasm, not in the subject matter or research, but in teaching. Yet, they are helpful and will guide you through your B.Tech journey. In a semester, two midterms and one end-term exam are held. You can easily pass or even excel in the exams if you are consistent.

NIT KKR: The worst nightmare
Placements: Although placements are usually good, many companies only occasionally offer 4 LPA due to the non-profit nature of the industry. Only 64% of the students placed here last year received a placement, and the highest package goes up to 40 LPA, which is not good, and the lowest is only 3.2 LPA. Annually, fewer companies arrive and provide fewer services.
Infrastructure: The number of courses offered has been rising annually, and some courses have very few or no teachers. The infrastructure is also poor because many of the buildings have not been renovated in decades. The hostel facilities are the worst. At hostels, there is no hygiene and cleanliness.
Faculty: The only teacher we have is V.P. Singh, the future director of our college. He gives us instructions, but when it comes to homework, he says he will only accept the first five submissions before letting the others finish it. And when it comes to exams, then they take exams every month named as mid-sem, they take two mid-sems.
Other: I guess there is this one time when a girl student got molested or raped, and the college didn’t care about the mental stress of the student; they just cared about suppressing the matter and did it very effectively.

B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2026

Short overview of NIT Kurukshetra .
Placements: 69 percent of students were placed from the Mechanical Eng. Course. The top recruiters were Maruti Suzuki, BHEL, Tata Motors, Mahindra, JSW Steel, and many more. The highest package is 23 LPA, the lowest is 4 LPA, and the median package is 9 LPA. On-campus internships in our course are not that great; only a few students have interned till now. Top roles offered are quality control engineer, design engineer, product engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in my hostel, but it creates problems sometimes, so the hostel has recently installed LAN cables. They work really great, up to a speed of more than 80 Mb/s. Classrooms are well cleaned and have AC too. Library infrastructure is also great; a plenty of books are available, which you can issue any time from 10 AM to 5 PM. Mess food is not that great, but it's average. Breakfast is tastier than lunch and dinner. The menu is decided by the students committee, so if you need an alternative dish, you can vote for a menu change.
Faculty: Faculty at NIT Kurukshetra is great and well qualified; all teachers are supportive and helpful. The course curriculum is designed to make students ready for industry. In order to pass end-semester exams, you need to score 20/50; the exam level is between moderate to hard, but you can score easily 35+ if you prepare previous year questions. Also, there are 2 mid-semester exams of 15 marks each. In order to pass mid-semester exams, you need to score a total of 20/50; the rest of the 20 marks are divided, 10 for attendance and 10 for TA.
Other: Our college fests are at the next level, and they are so enjoyable. There are mainly 2 fests, i.e., Techspardha (the largest tech fest of North India) and the other is Confluence. During Techspardha, technical societies of our college conduct various events, and exciting prizes are there too. Cultural clubs handle Confluence; last time in Confluence, there was a star night in which Mohammed Irfan performed. This college is full of extracurricular activities and many things to explore, like photography, video editing, graphic designing, building websites, web apps, and many more things.

Complete review of NIT Kurukshetra.
Placements: Almost 80 to 85% of students were placed in my college last year. I am currently a student in my 2nd year, so I have told you about last year's placement. As much as I know, the highest package is 62 lacs; the average package is 13 to 14 lacs, and the median package is 9 to 10 lacs. Also, our NIT Kurukshetra welcomes recruiting companies, such as Byju's, American Express, Tata, Mahindra, Microsoft, Samsung, Amazon, etc. Talking about the internship, almost 62-65% of students got it and shipped it to top companies, which I told you before. The top roles of food in this course are of software engineering management, etc.
Infrastructure: If I talk about the facilities and infrastructure in my college, it is decent. The facilities are not proper; the water coolers are old-fashioned, and the library is also very short. The library always remains crowded because it is made in a short area. But talking about the facilities in classrooms, it is nice the rooms are well ventilated, and also they are AC rooms. Talking about the qualities of facilities in my hostel, it is just decent. You will be provided a room in which there is only one fan and one table for study. The quality of the food in the mess is also balanced; it is not much good or bad, but I think the mess bill is very high as compared to my other friends bills studying in different colleges. The medical facilities, sports, and games are also good. There are proper medical facilities; if you need an ambulance, it will reach you anytime you call it.
Faculty: The teachers in my college are qualified and knowledgeable, but they are not helpful at all. They have a very scolding nature; they are also not very approachable. Their old-fashioned teaching is too boring that I saw sometimes my friends sleeping in the class. It also becomes very difficult to attend the lectures. Yes, I think the course curriculum is relevant as the administration has added them. No, I don't think it makes the students industry-ready, but they are also the backbone for the students to enter into the industry because you must have knowledge regarding the instruments present in the industry. No, my exams are not too difficult; actually, the Fortis hours hear the student things that they can correct the exam by studying one night before the exam. This is not true; due to this, it becomes difficult to pass. My class pass percentage is about 85 to 90%. It is not very difficult to pass.
Other: I choose this cost because I have always been fashionable in this field. From childhood, I have always been interested to know how this is made and what the parts are by which it is made, so I chose this course. I think there should be much focus on practical knowledge because it is the only thing that will work in the industry; practical knowledge is the key. Talking about the events, there are three events in our college: Utkarsh, Confluence, and Techsparda. Yeah, the conference is the most beautiful and exciting moment in my college. The campus is also lovers green; the connectivity is also there. The connectivity is mainly by LAN service, which is a wired connection. Talking about scholarships, I don't know much about it; I just know that if family income is greater than 5 lacs, then no one feels remission. Your family income is greater than 1 lac and less than 5 lacs; then 2/3 fees remission in tuition. Family income less than 100,000: 100% tuition fees remission.

NIT Kurukshetra: Fairly explained.
Placements: About 49% students were placed this year in mechanical engineering department of NIT kurukshetra. The highest package was 61 LPA, the lowest was 4 LPA, and the average package was 8 LPA this year. Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Siemens, and LnT are the top recruiting companies. These companies also provide stipends for internships. top roles offered were software development, machines design, electrical engineering, etc.
Infrastructure: All classrooms here in NIT Kurukshetra have smartboards and projectors. Teachers use them for better concept teaching. Our college has good infrastructure. All classrooms are fully equipped with modern facilities. All hostel rooms are in good condition. Each room is provided with a table, a fan, an almirah, and a bed. All rooms have LAN facilities. And are provided with an attached personal balcony.
Faculty: All the faculty members are helpful here. They are well qualified and knowledgeable. But the use of an of an old-fashioned teaching style, which sometimes seems quite boring,. The course curriculum is moderately relevant. It includes thermodynamic machine design, kinetics of materials, and fluid mechanics, which helps a lot in understanding the mechanical applications. But it also has some topics that are irrelevant and outdated, like old engines. The difficulty level of semester exams is moderate. One can easily memorize the syllabus of a subject in 3–4 days. The passing percentage here is 40%. .
Other: NIT kurukshetra has its own name. It is a brand. It has a strong and active alumni network, which helps the current students by providing mentorship. This course can be better if all the irrelevant topics were removed. And it should increase the focus on practical applications. Events here are amazing. NIT kurukshetra hosts many events, like cultural fests: confluence and utsav, technical fests techspradha, and sports fests CITUS. Our campus has a lot of greenery. It is located outside of the main city kurukshetra.
