NSHM Durgapur Reviews on Placements, Faculty & Facilities ,

Placements: Placements were not at all good during my tenure. As less as 10-15 students only got placed which is terrible. But having said that the recent development at the college is promising. I heard from a few of my juniors that the placements have improved drastically and now students can expect a placement from the college. Companies like HCL, L&T, Accenture, etc. now visit for recruitment and offer good packages.

Placements: Since we were the first batch of engineering stream in the college, the placement part was not up to the mark. In fact, some of the on-campus appointment offers were later found to be dummy or fake.I was one of the culprits. However, due to the guidance provided by the faculty members and the awareness of the placement team. Placements: I belonged to the first batch of NSHM. Just like others, I also expected a great placement. But it was really unfortunate for our batch. We had a disappointing placement season. The majority of the companies were BPOs, others were either fake or offered minimal package (approx 1.2 PA). Around 5% of our batch got placed.

Placements: Placements are the one thing a student looks on while searching for a college and the placements for this college is not at all what you look for. There are hardly any recruiters which come and the ones who do come offer very little packages. I went there when B.Tech started so now, the placements might have picked up because some of my juniors are well placed in good companies at the moment and they said the placements are now better.

Placements: The placements are really poor. At my time, hardly 3-4 companies came for recruitment and that too offered very little packages. But the latest news coming from some of my juniors is really encouraging. Now, good companies come and offer decent packages for a fresher.

Placements: Well, the placements were very poor. Almost everybody had to look for a job off-campus. There were very few companies which came at a time when I passed out. But the positive thing is, I visited the campus last year i.e. 2016 and a lot has changed. Placements have improved quite significantly.

Placements: The placements in the college is not good. Only BPO companies are coming to the college. Last year the highest salary package was approximately 2.3 LPA on campus and 5 lpa through off campus. This year on campus companies was Reliance Jio and Max Munus BPO. Off-campus companies were Kovair software Pvt Ltd and BYJU'S.

Placements: Well, I didn't get placed. Only a small scaled mechanical engineering firm visited our college and selected just one student (who later left as the CTC was around 1 lpa). Most of our batch passed out without getting placed and had to hunt for one off-campus or go for further studies.

Placements: 40% students are placed this year. Most of the companies have visited campus are for the post of BPO or sales and marketing. Placement of this college is not good enough but this institute has knowledgeable and great professors. Companies like Amazon, Think&Learn, ICT health, Sutherland, Maven Infotech etc are visited the campus. The average package is 2.6-2.8 LPA.

Placements: NSHM is very average at placement. Placements of seniors were also very average. Placements of our batch were also average. Companies like Medica Multispeciality hospital, Combia Asia hospital, Vedanta hospital, Vasant Eye Care and many other hospitals came for placements. Overal placement was average.

Placements: Worst placement in mechanical branch. Not a single core company visited our college this year. Our previous batch suffered from fake placements. Only sales and CCE jobs are offered with low packages. CRTT department also doesn't take any responsibility or listen to us. Only 5 percent of the students are placed. The college sends the students for pool campusing.

Placements: The ROI is one of the best in this college. Placements were really good this year. Companies like Concentrix, Wipro, TCS, Amazon, Cognizant and Godrej come for placements. The average package would be 2lakhs. So overall, the placements are a hit and are increasing every year.

Placements: The placement was good. Around 80 percent students got placed but they say it as hundred percent placements. The highest salary offered was 3.6 lakhs PA and lowest being 96,000 PA. The companies like IBM, TCS, Wipro, Berger Paints and much more visited the campus. The roles offered were marketing and sales. The internship offered was not that great. I did not get any internship here, but I managed to get one from outside.

Placements: Placements are fairly average. Packages offered vary between 1-3 LPA. Around 50% students have been placed. Companies like Amazon, Cognizant technological solutions, Godrej, TCS etc visited. There is no dedicated placement cell for BBA, the placements come through the placement cell of NBS.

Placements: The placements were average, 70 percent of the students got placed after completion of the course. The highest salary offered was 3.6 LPA, and the lowest was 1.8 LPA. The roles generally were of marketing, sales as the course itself was business administration. The placements offered were generally outside West Bengal.

Placements: The placement is average for BBA course. In our batch, only 40% students were placed. The companies were from banking, marketing sector and CA firms. The college is not that focussed for the recruitment. The students have to try hard for the placement. It is best if the student grabs the opportunity.

Placements: Above 50 percent students of my batch were placed in different companies with our college placements. Lots of on and off campus drives were organised by our college. Companies like All Online, My Taskers visited our college for hiring students on the basis of different selection tests and personal interviews. Placements: Various students were placed in companies like Paytm, Amazon etc. from the senior batch and from our batch too. Almost 50% students were placed from the senior batch and 80% students were placed from our batch. The highest salary was Rs. 22,000 per month and the lowest salary was Rs. 8,000 per month. The companies which visited were Mytasker and many more. The roles offered were that of software developer, sales executive, etc. 90% students got an internship from the college. ...

Placements: Placement is good here for B.Tech students. Almost 98% students are placed each year. Various companies like TCS, Wipro, Amazon etc comes as in-campus for students. Posts like trainee, developer, marketing executive etc are offered to students at an average package starting from Rs. 2 lakh up to Rs. 9 lakh annually.

Placements: NSHM Durgapur has a dedicated placement group with over 16 years of education. I am from the Mechanical branch and we had both on and off campus drives right from the beginning of 4th year. The highest salary that one of us got placement was Rs. 4.5 LPA while the average was that of Rs. 2-2.5 LPA and the lowest being Rs. 1.5- 1.0 LPA.
