Placements: College shows there are 100% placement but it is not true. The number of students who get placed and the number of students who join the companies. There are only sales company visiting here for recruitment. Only 1 core company came for the placements.

In the name of college they are running a school. Uniform, time, attendance is all they will ask.

Placements: My batch is 2016-2020. We will be passing out this July 2020. first of all, I would like to tell you that the placement and campus drives are very average in our college. You will find only sales and marketing type job being offered in the campus placements because the placement officer cannot call good companies because he is not well experienced for that and have fewer contacts. The top recruiting companies were TCS and Cognizant for the IT sector. Other than these there were all the sales and...

Good learning experience and decent placements in 2020, but bad college life.

Placements: A very rare number of students get placed in our college because there are only sales company visiting here for recruitment, and the remaining are only for CS and IT branches. The top recruiting companies are only 2 or 3, which are Wipro and Jaro Education. The highest salary package offered was 12.4 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 1.8 LPA. Only 5-10% of the students get internships in these companies.

Review of Oriental College of Technology.

Placements: Nearly 60% of the students from our batch got placed. The highest salary package offered is 7 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 2.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies like TCS and Jaro Education visited our campus for placements. The highest salary package offered in our course is 12 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA. Top roles like HR and manager offered to the students. About 30% of the students got an internship in the reputed companies like TCS and Edupolis Technolog...

You can select this college when you don't have any other option.

Placements: About 30%-40% of the students got placed in different companies during campus placements in which top salary package offered was about 7 LPA and the lowest salary package offered of 1.2 LPA. One of the top companies which visit here for placements is Tata Consultancy Services. But in our course, the top salary package offered varies from about 3 LPA-4 LPA. Our college provides less internships.

The college does not provide technical skills.

Placements: Almost 80% of the students are placed in BE in IT. Both technical companies and non-technical companies visit here for placements. The highest salary package offered was 12 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 2.5 LPA. The average salary package offered was 3.5 LPA. Top recruitment companies are TCS, Wipro, Infosys, etc., for technical purpose, and Byju's, Jaro for non-technical purpose. Top roles offered here are associate system engineer in CS and IT branch. Even companies visit here for...

When i took admission there were some good faculties but now either they switched or transferred.

Placements: College shows there are 100% placements but it is not true. They will tell to stay a month after semester exams for placements but there is only 1 core company came for placements. They take charges for placements in 3rd and final year. Placements are not upto the mark.

College is too bad because the number of placements is not good.

Placements: There is no chance to place any student in our branch or course because the number of students in our batch is 120 and when companies visited the college for placements, only 7 to 8 students got placed, others got nothing. Placed students got the highest salary package, approximately 3.5 LPA, and the companies were from the marketing side. Top recruiters in our college are from only the marketing and sales side. No one is interested in the training program and internship because all the students...

It is quite disappointing because they will teach you everything except how to get a job.

Placements: I am from the batch 2016-20. I took admission in 2016, and I will pass out in 2020. About 20-25% of students got placed during campus recruitment. The salary package offered ranges between 2-12 LPA. Companies like TCS, Jaro, Capgemini, etc., visited our campus for placements. Internships offered to the students are very low in numbers.

Good faculty members, Mediocre curriculum.

Placements: I am a 2017 passout who pursued BE degree in Computer Science. Our placement year I. e. observed the lowest number of placements. Only about 40% students were placed. Rest were left on their own. Topmost recruiter of OCT is TCS which offers 3.40 approximately per annum to the software engineering freshers. And only 5-10%. Students did internship in the year.

The college lacks proper management.

Placements: Around 50-60% of placements are provided by the college. TCS is one of the main recruiters of this college. Very few companies visit for close campus placements. Companies come for pool or open campus placements. For my batch, the placements are good for CS and IT students, and not for core branches. Around 20% of the student got internships. If any student gets an internship offer outside the college, the college doesn't permit them to go.

I suggest not to take admission in the college.

Placements: TCS is the only company, which visits the college every year. This is better only for CS students because it recruits more than 200 students. I don't suggest you take admission on the basis of 200 students, I think you should go for LNCT college as it provides a lot of placement opportunities to the students.

If you get OIST, then definitely you can join, otherwise, think before to join in this college.

Placements: The placements are only in the main college, and that is OIST. If you get OCT, the chances of getting placements are the worst, so make sure to take OIST. TCS is the main recruiter in this college. If you are an above average student, then definitely you will get placed on the campus. TCS comes as a closed campus in OIST and an open campus in OCT.

My opinion about Oriental College of Technology.

Placements: The average package like 3 LPA is provided, and most of the students got placed in star India company while some in TCS and few in Indian Navy. There was also some good companies which offered nearly 8-9 LPA. This year, it was a civil student who got 9 LPA, and for the mechanical, it was 5 LPA. In case of computer science, most were placed in TCS, and few were placed well in good companies. 2-3 students and few others got placed in pool campus.

The academic standard is low, but placement record is good.

Placements: The major recruiter is TCS, which hires the students from all branches. In the year 2016, TCS hired more than 120 students. The placement record is good for CS and IT students. There are opportunities for other branches also. Core Companies also visits the college but hires a few students. Most of the companies recruit in pool campus drive. So chances of getting a job reduces. The highest package offered was 5.5 lacs per annum, which was offered by Zycus(pool campus). There is a placement cell, ...

The college is not good, and one more thing is it is not a college, it's a school.

Placements: The placement record is less, approximately 5 to 10%. Only TCS visit the campus, and the other companies like financial companies visit the campus. The college does not give any effort to place students. The college only makes money. It is not a college, and it is a school. CS branch placement is only 10%, civil is 0%, mechanical is 2%, EC is 2%, and EX is 1%, and the rest is upon you.

Almost satisfied, really good teachers, but the management is not good.

Placements: It is a nice college and has nice faculty. There are good placements for IT branch. Almost 50% placement is done. My seniors got placed in good companies like BYJUS, TCS, etc. But, they give less package like 2.5 lac. So, I think we can prefer this college.

College review from a CSE student.

Placements: Placements are not good in our college. Apart from TCS, not more than 2 or 3 companies come for technical placements. All the other companies are from the non-technical background that too with a very low salary package. This year even TCS placements were also in a pool campus because of the market down issue, maybe.

One of the best in Bhopal.

Placements: Very few companies came nowadays and take students in single digit numbers. Open campus is available. Just don't depend on the college for your placements. You have to prepare well for the companies as they have a lot of choices. Make your resume very truthfully to impress your HR.

Take admission in oriental at your own risk as you will be tortured in all manners.

Placements: As far as the placement in Bhopal is concerned, there is only one man who can bring opportunities in the college and is capable so he will be having 2-3 job offers, and he is none another that Anuj Garg sir, from 2014. He is in LNCT, so the placement was not good enough but in MNCs, the only company was TCS coming in 2016 and 27 students were selected in our branch. 128 students were selected from the college. In 2017, I have come to know that only 5 students were placed from the branch. So ple...
