Great faculty, good infrastructure but less than satisfactory placements for the 2016 B Tech batch.

Placements: For final placements, few companies visited the campus. Various online exams like Cocubes and Amcat were conducted by the college authorities to increase off campus placement opportunities for students. Finally the companies where people were placed in are Mindtree, Capgemini, Collabera, Broadsoft and Pathpartner. Average CTC was around 3-4 LPA. Around one-fourth of the 2016 was placed.Roles were mainly Engineer Trainee, Software Developer. Internships were not provided by the college but they h...

A review on BCA, Pailan, by the student of 2018 pass out.

Placements: The placement is not bad or good. It is average. 40% of the students in my batch got jobs. The salary range provided by the companies are 160k to 220k per year. The visited companies are IBM, Wipro and Cognizant in the year 2017. Maximum companies are required for software testing and developing. None of the students has got the internship from college.

Good infrastructure, good facilities but the placement was not up to the mark.

Placements: The placements in this college, I would say, were not at all up to the mark. If you are someone who is expecting to get placed through on- campus, this is not your cup of tea, because there are hardly any on-campuses organised for the B.Tech people. Although the college does encourage students to go to all the pool campuses that take place in other colleges. Sometimes, they do organize those pool campuses in our college too. They also, at times, organize campus placements through third-party sou...

Very disappointed with this college.

Placements: There were no proper campus drives. Two or three companies that turned up did not have much to offer to the students. The placement officer was changed several times, and none couldn't do anything. As such, not many from my batch got placed. At some point in time, I just wanted college to be over. Most of my batchmates got placed via walk-ins and moved into higher studies.

Dissatisfied because of everything! Not a single facility provided was up to mark.

Placements: The college did not provide the placements. Poor placement facilities, those companies which came to campusing neither offered an excellent package nor did they give a proper joining date to the selected candidates. The placement officer has been changed several times, but that did not resolve the problem of the placements. The conditions seemed to be more pathetic with each passing day. The final year students continued to be jobless, and it was time for the next eligible batch to whom the coll...

Review of Pailan College of Management and Technology 2016 IT batch

Placements: Placements were not good in our batch. We got our jobs but from our hard work and from off-campus drives. We did not get any on-campus drive of MNC companies. There were some on-campus drives which finally became pool campus drives and only 4 to 5 people were selected. It would be good if they try to give some on-campus drives.

Experience of four years at PCMT

Placements: Fewer companies came for placements (on campus). None of them were renowned, and later, the maximum of them turned out to be fake during my batch. However, there were pool campus placements like IBM and Yoodle. However, I feel no contribution of the college is there except for keeping the track of the pool campus. Preparations for campus recruitment took place, however, the attendance of students kept on decreasing , so those classes also stopped eventually. ...

Join if you expect a good college life but not jobs

Placements: Not many good companies came in our final year. A few of the classmates got an offer from small core companies. We were sent to off-campus placement drives. Sadly, no one got placed by the opportunities provided by the college. This is the condition for engineering students. However, the placement record for the management department is better.

Mirror mirror on the wall, please tell how bad is our college at all?

Placements: The worst. Maybe at that time, these kinds of colleges do not have many placements but ours is a bit worse. Our authorities and HODs didn't make a minimum effort to call the companies. Moreover, the most important fact is every semester, our college took around 7000 rupees in the name of the training and placement fee. But everything is just a business.

A nice college with a great environment. Knowledgeable and supportive faculty. Great placement.

Placements: The placement made by our college is good. The students were placed at renowned and established organisations. Seniors were also placed well in various MNCs. Major companies which recruited are Vodafone, IBM, Reliance, Airtel, TCS, Accenture, Wipro, Cognizant, etc.

A good college. Not so great a placement but was overall a good experience studying here.

Placements: The placement records here aren't great but are not very disappointing either. A lot of my seniors from different branches and streams of engineering have got jobs through campus recruitment. I would say about 63% of the students got placed from my batch in various companies other than the mass recruiting ones like CTS and TCS. The average salary of the job offered was around 3-4 lakhs per annum. Job profiles such as a system engineer, software developer, backend jobs were offered. Since I bel...

Pailan College of Management and Technology is the best option to increase your knowledge

Placements: Placements were not that much good at the year of 2014 and 2015. At the year 2014, 7-8 companies came for on-campus drives and among them, 4 were fake. Off-campus, around 10 companies are where we got chances to give an interview. The highest package from on campus was 3.2 lacs per annum and the average was 1.8 lacs. 20% students were placed from on-campus but only a few people joined as many of them were fake.

A college which can be taken into account.

Placements: The college is good for the placement and it would provide you the placement package of around 4 lakhs. The college is giving a start up. I did not opt for the placement process because I wanted to do MBA but at my time, there were many options available like Amazon, Bharti Infotech, Intelenet Global Services etc.

Reasonably satisfied, only the placement part is to be taken care of.

Placements: The placements were average as less number of students were getting placed. When it was our time, the placements were about 20-30%, and the highest package offered to be 15,000-20,000/-. The companies were mainly BPO companies and call centres for example HCL, Odessa etc. Te students were not offered internships as such and usually, we were asked to do summer training and vocational training.

Pailan college is one of the top 10 colleges in Kolkata. The faculty is very well behaved and frank. There is a computer lab facility and there is a computer for every student. All classrooms are air-conditioned, but some of the ACs are not working. College campus is good but could be better. A 75% attendance is mandatory for all students. If your attendance is below 75%, then you are not eligible to sit for the exam. The college campus is very good. Pailan college is one of the most reputed ...

Teaching was good and almost all faculty members were very helpful but lab was poor, many labs were not equipped with proper instruments, as an engineering student one should be good in practical also but lab classes were not satisfying the limit and bad placement record till our batch (as I heard it's getting little better this year). Library was also ok.

Well, nothing was good about this College. Management was poor. Placement was bad. Many good faculty members came and went out because of the poor management and ultra-poor Infrastructure. They raised our course fees during our 2nd semester. All the college management care about is the money and nothing else. Don't go for this one if you seriously need a B.Tech degree with least tension.

The college is worth the money because its facilities and campus life makes it worth all the expense towards it. The crowd is very good were you can meet a lot of people from varies places and its a good experience. The salary can be better but most of the students here get placed with more than 90% record. The faculty are very good and knowledgeable

The college does not have anything except good faculties. Local MLA and counsellors misuse their power upon the relation of administration and the students. There is no discipline in the college. Facilities provided by the college is beyond average. Placement is not at all worthy. The college has a good brand image but the service they deliver is beyond expectation.

Pailan College of Management & Technology is an engineering and management based college of south Kolkata. Campus life in this college is attractive, but the quality of education is average here. Lab and library infrastructure is more than average. But the worst thing about the college is its placement record. Past placement record is very bad. But it has a reputation for organizing cultural program like fresher party, fests etc.
