Q:   What is the effectiveness of the placement cell for B.Com programs at Presidency College?

    A:
    {Source: B.Com students & alumni}

Here's the effectiveness of the placement cell for B.Com programs at Presidency College:

    Placement Cell Effectiveness

    * Some students reported that the placement cell tried hard for 100% placements, but ultimately reached around 80%.
    * Another student mentioned that nearly 90% of students were placed, with an average salary package of INR4 LPA to INR5 LPA.
    * Top-recruiting companies visiting the campus include KPMG, Deloitte, Wipro, DE Shaw, Bosch, Infosys, and others.
    * However, some students expressed disappointment with the placement cell, stating that it was "the worst" compared to other colleges, and that companies often rejected candidates who had already been selected.
    * According to these students, the college also has rules limiting students' ability to apply for multiple companies, which can hinder their job prospects.

In summary, while some students reported positive experiences with the placement cell, others expressed concerns about its effectiveness. Overall, the placement cell seems to have mixed results, with both successes and challenges faced by students.

Really an average college; takes the *** out of you if attendance is less.
Placements: Placement from Presidency College is really average. Companies like TCS and Infosys do come, but the package offered is really less. The highest package would go around 12-14 LPA, which is for the Masters students, and the minimum package would be around 2 LPA.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. Never really tried the food from the mess and canteen. Sports and games are not okay. Attendance is the worst part of this college. Kalopsia happens every 4 years, which is kind of exciting. Additionally, they don't give you holidays during festivals too.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful but non-cooperative in case of attendance. They are knowledgeable and hold a really good grip on the subjects they teach. It does make students industry-ready. Semester exams are not that difficult. If you can just read what was taught at revision classes, you can easily score above 80%.

I am satisfied with this college.

Infrastructure: Our college provides good infrastructure. A library and computer labs are available. The hostel is good. The quality of the food is excellent. The campus is well-maintained and clean. The canteen serves delicious food. The campus is good. The college has pleasant atmosphere.
Faculty: Our teachers are well-qualified, good, and friendly. They help us clear our doubts. The teaching quality is good. Concepts are understandable by everyone.

Our college has a very good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Around 75% to 80% of students get placed in our course. The highest salary package offered is 24 LPA and the lowest salary package is 2 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, HDFC Bank, and KPMG. Around 75% of students get internships from Amazon and HDFC. Top roles offered are HR and assistant auditor.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure of our college are very good. Library, smart classrooms, auditorium, and canteen are available. In-house Cafe Coffee Day and in-house parking are also available. Classrooms are well maintained. Food served in the canteen is tasty. Canteen serves a variety of food items at a low price.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful and well-qualified. They have 15 years of experience. Most of them have doctorates and are researchers. The course curriculum is relevant and it makes students industry ready. Semester exams are a little difficult to pass.

It is one of the best colleges for the management programs.
Placements: Presidency College had a good placement team that tries for 100% placements but in the end, they will reach around 80%. All top firms like KPMG, EY, etc., came to our campus for placements. The average salary package offered was around 4.5 LPA and the roles that most of the students get were advisory roles.
Infrastructure: Presidency College had good facilities and the library had an ample amount of books for reference. The classrooms were big and had good facilities in the room. The college also had computer labs and sports space in it. The hostel of the college was among the best that I have seen with good food and facilities.
Faculty: Teachers of the college were very well experienced and had good subject knowledge. The curriculum followed by the college was very much related to the industry and will make students industry-ready. The exam pattern was very good and tested the knowledge of students from the semester that is being taught. The level of difficulty was high.
Other: The college conducted many fests and allowed us to explore participating in other college fests and also they focus on sports in an equal way.

This is an average college in all aspects.
Placements: Most of the students who opted for placements support will get selected. But not everybody will be placed in good companies, even if students get in good companies, our job roles will not be that good. The lowest salary offered is Rs 16,500 per month as a sales executive in Motilal Oswal. The highest salary offered is Rs 35,000 in companies like Walmart for HR, and the same package in PWC as an auditor. Top recruiting companies are Deloitte, Walmart, and Wipro.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is decent in this college. The classrooms are enough to accommodate 45-55 students. Libraries are maintained well. The chairs in some classrooms are not good. The tables are decent. The canteen food is expensive, and biriyani costs around Rs 80.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are helpful except one or two. The exams are weekly, prefinal, and then the final exams. The exams are not very hard. The pass percentage is 40% out of 100 in finals. The pass percentage is close to nill most of the time.

It is one of the best colleges one can find with less fee.
Placements: About 74% of students got placement in the previous year. Top recruiting companies like Reliance, Tata Consultancy Services, Infosys, Aditya Birla, Wipro, etc., visit our college to hire students from our course. The highest salary package offered till now is 48 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 4 LPA. About 60% of students get an internship in their 3rd year.
Infrastructure: Presidency College is very good in terms of infrastructure. The canteen is so good. The library has all the books one can possibly need for studies. Classrooms are very good as they have projectors and personal speakers for every teacher so that the voice can reach even the last rows.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are well-educated and kind. They explain everything in detail, and the subjects we have for B.Com are totally relatable to the business world. After graduation, a person becomes ready to get into the corporate world. Semester exams are tough. The pass percentage is 33%.
Other: I chose the B.Com course as I wanted to open by post-graduation wide for specialisation in one particular subject which I like in B.Com. Our college hosts several fests annually, and they also give concessions to defense students and students who score above 80% in their 12 class.
