PGDM in E-Business - Batch of 2018

I am satisfied with college.
Placements: Our batch of PGDM E-business consisted of almost 120 students, and out of them, approximately 60% of our batch students got placed. The highest salary package offered was 17 LPA, and the average salary package offered was 7.5 LPA. Top recruiters were Moody's, Cognizant Technologies, Infosys, ICICI Bank, IBM, Randstad, Spar Hypermarket and many others. Above 90% of the students got an internship. Top roles offered were mostly managerial manager like regional marketing manager, consultant, business analyst, etc.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are air-conditioned and have Wi-Fi. There are also a library and a lab for business design domain students with a dedicated coach. It also has lots of activities and campaigns which encourage lots of creative and innovative solutions to challenge real-world problems.
Faculty: Teachers were well-qualified and experienced in their domain. Lots of industry professionals also come to teach specific industry subjects, which is a great part of study and exposure to the real world. The course makes students industry-ready and to face the challenges of the real world.
Other: I have chosen E-business marketing as it was mostly inclined towards a mixture of IT and marketing. I am from the commerce background, and at that time, I thought of updating myself into IT and diving into marketing as my majors would be a beneficial move for me. There are lots of activities, fests and compensation, rotary club and events happening which encourages a candidate to participate in them.

Good college with decent placements. Students are given an insight of industry via industrial visits
Placements: More then 90 percent of students gets placed. The highest was around 13 Lacs per annum, the average is around 7 LPA, the lowest go to 4.5 LPA. Infosys, Wipro, Nielsen, ICICI etc recruited students from the campus. All students get internships and companies are Nielsen, Reliance, OYO etc. Consultant, analyst, sales profiles, financial analyst are the roles offered.
Infrastructure: Library and classrooms are good, Wi-Fi is also provided, some indoor games are also present, canteen facility is there. The hostel is a service apartment and all the amenities are present, including gym, sports, canteen, cleanliness is taken care.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, they devote time even after college, all the teachers are experienced and have in-depth knowledge about their subjects. The curriculum is pretty much relevant, students are given exposure and industrial visits are also arranged.

The college offers good placements, faculty, and infrastructure , but fees are dissatisfied.
Placements: Almost all students are placed. It is a very good college, but the fee is quite high, so I had an issue with their fee structure. But, all placements are very good. People got internships in many companies like Accenture, Wipro, Infosys, and same for placements as well.
Infrastructure: I think the building is very small. college should be bigger and it does not have a ground. There should be at least one ground. But, Wi-Fi, library, and classroom facilities are very good. Talking about the hostel, I don't like the canteen food, but aside from the food, everything else is quite good.
Faculty: Teachers are very knowledgeable and helpful. They assist you until you are placed. Faculty members try their best to make all students industry-ready. There are no major difficulties, but we have exams every three months in a semester, so sometimes maintaining attendance is quite difficult.

Ample opportunities for placements. Good industry exposure
Placements: Top recruiting companies are Deloitte, Infosys, Wipro and many more. Till now approximately 40 students are unplaced and most of them are of marketing specialisation. Marketing companies come in the month of March, April and May. Hope so, this year also the college achieve 100 percent placements.
Infrastructure: You will get all the required amenities here. Food is far better compared to college canteen. Daily cleaning is done by the stanza staff. You will get a card in which you will get a balance of 2750 at the starting of each month. Breakfast is provided every morning by hostel. You will have to get used to idlis and dosa.
Faculty: Excellent staff. Overall staff is pretty good. Thanks to the PPTs they provide, each concept is explained in an amazing manner. For some subjects you may have to refer to the reference books. But the better way is to get the reference books and relate the ppts to reference books.
Other: Campus is good as it is surrounded by different companies. You will get a good industry exposure and work culture.

Dissatisfied with placement scenario.
Placements: Approximately 60% of the students get placed from my course. The highest package offered was Rs 9.5 Lacs/p. a. The lowest package was Rs. 3 Lacs/p. a. Average package was Rs.7 Lacs/p. a. Top recruiting companies included Oracle, Siemens, Deloite, EY, Infosys. Top Roles offered were B2B sales, market research, analysts, management trainee, consultant, B2C Sales.
Infrastructure: Facilities in college available are Wi-Fi, IT labs, Air Conditioned Classrooms, Library, Auditorium, lack of proper medical facilities and sports ground Facilities in hostel includes Wi-Fi. Quality of food is not good, no proper medical facilities, badminton court is available.
Faculty: Some of the teachers are quite knowledgeable but course is not quite up to the industry standards and demands. The course tries to bring out innovative side of students towards problems but is not sufficient as is required in the actual business environment.
Other: I had opted for this course because I felt that innovation is one such field which is required in throughout all the industries. The best thing about this course is that it helps us to view things from different perspectives and bringing out innovative solutions to the problems.

Infrastructure: We have bloomberg terminal, Well stocked library, modern infrastructure and a good canteen facility. The hostel is really good with all basic amenities like TV, laundry, play area, a good canteen, house keeping 24*7 We have place to play badminton, foosball, also have gym facilities, dance classes etc.
Faculty: The teachers are extremely knowledgeable and well qualified. They are very helpful and happy to share knowledge and push our limits to get the best result. Q:   Can I get admission to WeSchool Bangalore - Welingkar Institute of Management with 60% in Class 12th?

A:

Admission criteria for MBA programs at WeSchool Bangalore, or any other management institute, typically prioritize your performance in undergraduate studies and entrance exams rather than your Class 12th scores. While having a good academic record is beneficial, a 60% score in Class 12th may not be a primary factor for MBA admissions.

The usual key factors considered for admission to an MBA programme at WeSchool or similar institutes include:

1. Bachelor's Degree: A completed Bachelor's degree from a recognized university with a specified minimum percentage (e.g., 50% or higher) is generally required.

2. Entrance Exam Scores: Performance in relevant management entrance exams like CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT, or other exams specified by the institute is a significant factor. High scores in these exams can enhance your chances of admission.

3. Group Discussion and Personal Interview:  Performance in group discussions and personal interviews is also crucial for the final selection. Your communication skills, knowledge, and overall personality are evaluated during this stage.

4. Work Experience (if applicable): Some MBA programs may consider your work experience as a part of the selection criteria. However, this varies based on the program.

While your Class 12th percentage may not be a primary consideration, having a strong academic record throughout your undergraduate studies and a competitive score in the entrance exam will certainly enhance your application.

For precise and up-to-date information regarding admission criteria for MBA at WeSchool Bangalore, I recommend visiting the official website of the institute or directly contacting their admissions office. They can provide detailed and accurate information about the eligibility requirements and selection process.
