Temple Connect signs MoU with S.P. Mandali’s Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research (WeSchool) to Enhance and Support Temple Management Courses
May 27, 2024: Established in 1888, Shikshana Prasaraka Mandali, Pune, is a Trust with a rich history of overseeing more than forty-three educational institutions in Maharashtra and Karnataka. An agreement has been signed between Prin. L. N. Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research (WeSchool), the top PAN India Premier Management Institute, and Temple Connect, an organization devoted to growing and improving the temple ecosystem. WeSchool has campuses in Bengaluru and Mumbai.
By teaching people about the value and application of scientific management for temple administration and organization, Temple Connect hopes to enhance and support Temple Management courses offered by WeSchool and a few other prestigious institutions, including Mumbai University. WeSchool, a Premier Management Institute, would serve as the education partner by utilizing its primary competencies of providing "Management Education" and suggesting procedures and frameworks. Participants' learning will be improved by this initiative, which will revitalize the Temple Management Education ecosystem.
The duration of the Certificate, Advance Certificate, and Diploma programs will be six months, twelve months, or two years, with practical experience. They will be offered both in-person and online. Many aspects of management, people management, socio-cultural management, design orientation, sustainability, Indian knowledge system, inclusivity - community engagement and development, legal compliance, use of information and technology in the temples, crowd management, asset management, and so forth are just a few of the topics that will be covered in the course.
WeSchool Announces the Launch of Wenture.inv
December 13, 2022: Wenture.inv 2022 has been officially launched by SP Mandali's Prin. L. N. Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research (WeSchool). The innovative programme sought to support alumni entrepreneurs (AEs) in growing their start-up businesses. It was held on the WeSchool premises and opened by Prof. Dr Uday Salunkhe, Group Director, WeSchool, and Adv. Shri S.K. Jain, Chairman, Managing Council, S. P. Mandali, and Local Managing Committee, WeSchool.
The opening of the event featured a display of the products offered by alumni entrepreneurs (AEs), who had experienced significant development and intended to expand their enterprises by raising money. After that, there was a pitching session in front of notable investors, including Dr Farzan Ghadially, a senator from India and member of the World Business Angels Investment Forum, Sandesh Kirkire, a former CEO of Kotak Mahindra Asset Management, Dipesh Mohile, managing partner of IIA Ventures, and Chintan Oza, founder of Anantam Ecosystems. The selected entrepreneurs then met one-on-one with potential investors to discuss additional options.
WeSchool set up a 14-hour online boot camp before the event, during which classes were conducted by seasoned start-up mentors and investors who helped the entrepreneurs make compelling proposal. The alumni entrepreneurs were able to improve their pitches thanks to these workshops before Pitch Day. Entrepreneurs from the Edtech, Agritech, and food processing industries made up the alumni cohort. They were given projects to redefine their start-up business models and to create responsible cashflow sheets, valuation sheets, and P&L statements. The investors reviewed these assignments, and ultimately 6 start-ups were chosen from a total of 10 for the big event.

The investors reviewed these assignments, and six start-ups were ultimately chosen from a total of ten to participate in the final event.
Mumbai Edition Of Smart India Hackathon Ends On A High Note At Weschool Campus
August 30, 2022: On August 26, at the WeSchool campus, the Mumbai leg of the Smart India Hackathon (SIH), a national event organised by the Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell, was held. Bundelkhand Institute of Engineering and Technology created a software-based solution to address the problem statement, "User friendly data visualisation tool for interpretation of groundwater isotope data," and Prin. L.N. Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research won the awards for their solution on "Gamification for Awareness and Coverage Need for Comprehensive Health Insurance That Covers OPD and Lab." The Coimbatore Nodal Center WeSchool students also won first place for their Fall Detection Alarm solution.
Each winner received a prize check for INR 1 lakh. For their noteworthy solutions, a few more teams from Thakur College of Engineering & Technology and Raisoni Institute of Engineering and Technology received top honours. They received recognition for their creative approaches to problems, such as the "Standalone Desktop programme for Pumping Test Data Analysis. In front of raucous applause from other hackers, the prizes were given out by Prof. Dr Uday Salunkhe, Group Director at Welingkar Institute of Management, and the event's Chief Guest, Dr Ajit Singh Thethi, President, Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS), and Director General, GNIMS Business School.
Students from Easwari Engineering College, Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering, and Prince Shri Venkateshwara Padmavathy Engineering College each received a cash prize of Rs. 25,000 for their creative approaches to the problems of "Standalone desktop application for analysis, visualisation, and interpretation of hydro chemical data," "Application for calculating SpO2, blood pressure, stress, and other body vitals," and "Standalone desktop application for analysis, visualization”
The Smart India Hackathon is a national movement to give students a platform to address some of the most important issues we face on a daily basis and to foster a mindset of problem-solving and product invention. A total of 225 intelligent students and 31 teams competed in the inaugural Smart India Hackathon on Thursday to find solutions to some of the most pressing contemporary problems.
