The College of Notable Men in History!
Placements: So my course was B.Sc. in Botany, Chemistry, and Zoology. We have 25 to 30 students during each lecture. The college offers a Master's programme in Botany. One can pursue a number of fields further, like being a guide for a botanical garden or a zoological park or even taking nature trails. The syllabus is vast and covers a lot of topics.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good with proper tables and benches, which are replaced if broken. The GCR, or the girls' common room, was my favorite room in the building as it was spacious with fans, curtains, and well-maintained washrooms. The college, however, does not have a hostel. There is a sports room that has all the equipment necessary for common sports like cricket, football, basketball, etc.
Faculty: So my course was B.Sc. in Botany, Chemistry, and Zoology. One can pursue a number of fields further, like being a guide for a botanical garden or a zoological park or even taking nature trails. The syllabus is vast and covers a lot of topics. Now, this helps in building a personal connection with nature. The curriculum includes the study of garden planning. This can be taken up as a job by students who love botany.

The teaching staff is really helpful and fun, and the infrastructure facilities are good too.
Placements: Mostly students get placement in my course; almost 80% of people get a job after my course. The lowest package is around 15k, and the highest is 45k. Eighty percent of people in my course in my college are getting internships. Since I will take botany in my 3rd year, I can be a botanist or I can do a PhD.
Infrastructure: We have a lab, library, and auditorium in our college, and guest lectures happen very frequently. Wi-Fi is also available 24/7 for both students and teachers. It's just that we don't have a canteen right now; it's being built.
Faculty: Teachers are really helpful in my college; the botany department and zoology department have the best teachers who teach you very well. Semester exams in my college are kind of moderate; they're neither too tough nor easy—it's like best for the average student. I like all the teachers in my college.
Other: I chose this course because I want to be a botanist in the future, and I chose this college because the fees are very low compared to other colleges, and the infrastructure and facilities are really top-notch.

Great faculty, great experience. Just don't go there expecting a student of the year life.
Placements: So it's not that the college doesn't try. They do. They have a career conclaves every year for the third-year students where companies offer jobs to students. But because it's National College, Biotechnology students are usually neglected I feel. This year, when I was in TY, there were 30+ something companies there to offer jobs and only one of them was a biomedical company which actually didn't even show up. So if you want jobs, you better build your CV, get a strong Resume and good LoRs which the teachers will happily provide.
Infrastructure: Washrooms are terrible here. The only functional Ladies' washrooms is the one in the Girls' Common Room which was just recently made. There's another near the auditorium on the ground floor which is close to an abomination. They did renovated but all they did was change the direction of the entrance. Seeing the condition of the college, absolutely no one will even imagine that one of the colleges trustees is THE HIRANANDANI. I remember being in the open basketball court for the Science exhibition and it was a wind day. I was standing by my posters ready to present with my two colleagues and right above is was a roof-shed which was just flying about because of the wind and we were scared to death that it may cash down on us at any moment. The funding that is received by the college by DBT isn't even being used by the college for the Biotechnology department. We order chemical and other things which are absolutely essential in a biotech lab and we are still always short on resources, limiting our chances to gain practical knowledge. It's all thanks to the teachers who still somehow manage to teach us with everything they have in them, not letting the lack of resources be a problem.
Faculty: THE FACULTY IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! We always say the teachers are our second others. The faculty at the department of biotechnology has definitely proven it to me. They are my second home, my second family, my role model, my mentors, my everything. They are simply the best group of teachers I have ever had to good fortune of meeting and studying under. They have always tried to do what is best for students trying to get them as much experience as possible. If it wasn't for them, I would've never had all the experience I have today.
Other: If you're really interested in biotechnology, it's worth the money. The faculty makes it worth studying there because I can guarantee you won't find a faculty like this anywhere else. The crowd. That's a grey area. I don't like the crowd here.

Minimal facilities with the least opportunities to explore in your field .
Placements: There are no placements available, offered, or recommended by the college. No internships are offered by the college itself; only professors update us on certain internships or side courses that are not liked by our college but will help you develop your interest.
Infrastructure: One A.C. isolated classroom for B.Sc. Biotechnology students where that A.C. doesn't even function properly laboratory is least accessible because of the expired chemical, that leads to inconsistency in the results. library of the college is good when it comes to accessing it around certain time periods, i.e., during morning .
Faculty: Some professors are considerably friendly and cooperative, but some don't even know how to teach, and they don't even provide us notes for exams. Also, some of them fail to complete the curriculum because of their absence for certain subjects.
Other: Other departments are allowed to participate in extracurricular activities, while some departments, like B.Sc., don't recommend you indulge in college-related activities apart from NSS or academic activities, which possibly makes it more banal to attend college. It also reduces the chances of indulging yourself with people and exploring more about yourself.

The college is good when you have no other option as it's placed at prime location bandra.
Placements: The placement in this college is almost zero atleast for B.Sc. students. You would have to work harder in this situation so that you might get placed in TCS. This college is below average college put placed at a very strategic position in bandra. Think twice.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is average and the classroom are little conjusted and that goes against this college which don't like at all. The practical lab is decent which has good quality practical available here which would further enhance your knowledge.
Faculty: The curriculum needs to upgraded a lot for this college and the university needs to update curriculum to meets the company demands as the overall job market is quite competent which needs to deal with. The semester exams are sometimes tough but you can manage easily.

Above average college overall, good faculty, placements, and infrastructure could have been better.
Placements: Career guidance sessions and job fairs are organized every year for 3rd-year students. Around 10-20 students get placed every year. The top recruiting companies are Himedia, Laurus Bio, and Loba Chemie. The roles offered include content writers, desk jobs, and lab technicians. Packages range from 60k-20k with an average of 30-40k monthly for B.Sc. students. Around 60% of students get internships from Himedia and Loba Chemie.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are not available in the college. However, classrooms have projectors and AV system facilities. The classrooms in the old buildings are not in very good condition and need renovation. The canteen was very good; however, it got shut down last month. Basic first aid medical facilities are available, and there is a badminton court and a basketball court available for use on the campus.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful and have an industrial background, while some are pure academics. Some have PhDs, which is very helpful in this course. The teaching quality is very good; topics are explained well and followed up by practical applications every day. Yes, the curriculum is very relevant, teaching important theoretical concepts, and the practical aspects enforce knowledge of technical aspects, making students ready for the industry. Exams are moderately difficult; however, with a good grasp of the topics, they can be passed. 85% of students pass.
Other: I was interested in biotechnology, so I chose this course. I heard the biotechnology department is one of the best in Mumbai. Renovating the classrooms and painting would be a great step, as well as improving the washrooms. Several events and fests are organized throughout the year, with each department hosting their own fests.
