It is an average engineering college with average placements.
Placements: Around 70% of students get placed. The highest package offered is around 3.5 LPA. Zifo is the major recruiter. Almost everyone does an internship in Saveetha Hospitals as a biomedical engineer. We have one-day industrial visits to hospitals and manufacturing industries.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are good with sufficient ventilation. The library is medium. The labs are pretty average with very old equipment. The biomedical department has a separate block. The hostel part is good, but the food is not much good. A small canteen is available with a few bakery items.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful to make students understand and clear exams with sufficient notes. The course makes us industry-ready since we study the basics of most of the equipment. Semester exams are quite difficult, and the pass percentage would be around 80%.
Other: Since I couldn't move into medicine, I thought of moving into something related to the healthcare industry. So I opted for this course. We could do a one-year internship or at least a semester of internship to gain practical knowledge of the field. We do not have any events.

B.Tech. in Petroleum Engineering - Batch of 2018

I'm satisfied with faculty but not with infrastructure and canteen.
Placements: The problem is most of the students did not belong to the core field, so they are changing to the core field. Like we studied petroleum, but there are no proper and enough jobs in India for petroleum engineers. There are no good placements for our course like some students are getting a salary of Rs. 40,000 per month abroad, while some are getting a salary of Rs. 15,000 per month. However, these are starting salaries. If we study in the core field for 5 years, then we will get very high salaries. We have to do some special courses, and even we do them also, we need some reference to get placements. There are no good placements in our core field.
Infrastructure: Our college has a good library with more books which can be useful for students. But there is no Wi-Fi facility throughout the campus. Some classrooms are good, but other classrooms are not properly maintained, so they need to be improved more. Hostels rooms are just better but not that much good. The food served in the canteen is the same and doesn't have a different menu for all days. Our college has good medical facilities. Sports facilities are better.
Faculty: Faculty members here are always good, qualified and helpful for all students. Most of them are highly qualified. The petroleum course is good to study, but there should be more opportunities for students. This course is all about fieldwork, so every student should get more practical knowledge than theoretical knowledge. They should provide some real-time information with examples, which can help students to understand more and can learn easily.
Other: I chose petroleum because I want to study a different course from others, and also I need to work differently from others. I may get a low salary now, but later, I will get what I deserve. I wish that our college should provide practical knowledge to students. Our college is already conducting many events in our department.

I am very satisfied with this college.
Placements: Placements are average. Many students got placed in this course. Internships are not offered in our college. Students who score 9.5 CGPA are eligible for placements. The minimum salary package offered was 1 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not well developed. There is no proper maintenance on our campus. Canteen is average. Classrooms are well-maintained. The mentors are not good. Sports are not conducted in this college.
Faculty: Faculty members are good. Non-qualified teachers are also working in this college. There are no industrial visits. Semester exams are very difficult. We have to study well to score good marks.
Other: Events are not conducted. Our campus crowd is average. The course is suitable to crack interviews off-campus. Extracurricular activities are not conducted in this college. I wish to learn more online free courses to improve my skills. Our college provides good education.

    Good environment and friendly faculty.
Placements: Only one placement was there and only one person got selected. The college environment will be good and less notice pollution. Internships have to be chosen by students. Management is never involved in Internships. Management is good and every month inspection will be there.
Infrastructure: The college has football, volleyball, and cricket ground. The library will be open up to college time only. Hostel food is average and other state students don't like it very much. The hostel is good and no ragging done till now. Transport problem for students. The college is situated 8 km away from the town.
Faculty: All teachers here are M.Tech graduates. Knowledge of them depends on their teaching skills and their knowledge is up to a level but you need to know so many technical skills to get placed.
Other: Petroleum engineering is the best engineering to do because it is a different and new stream. Faculty has to have better technical skills to teach. It will be helpful to get placed in some good companies.
