Review of Ramaiah Institute of Business Studies.

Placements: There is about 60% placement rate at this college. The highest package offered after course completion is 4 lpa and minimum is around 1 lpa. Not much known companies come here but just less-known companies will come here, which is kind of a bad thing and mostly requires outside referrals.

I am absolutely dissatisfied with our college.

Placements: Not even a single company visited our college for placements. There will be some pool campus interviews where none of the students gets placed.

It is one of the worst colleges for placements.

Placements: We were offered a few very bad call centre placements. Most of the students were not interested in working in call centres or BPOs, so the majority of us didn't attend the interviews. Around 10% of the students got placed in BPOs. The placement officer was of no use, and he didn't want to help any of the students.

I am not happy with a few faculty members, placements and other facilities.

Placements: Our placements were bad, and our college management didn't provide us with any placement in any standard company. It invited only one company named Cargill, which was a start-up. It conducted 2 rounds of interview, i.e., aptitude test and face to face interview. Many of the students were not interested, so they didn't attend the rounds, and none of them got selected in the company. We didn't have internships also, and I am very dissatisfied. They offered a salary package of 2.5 LPA.

It is not worth joining this college.

Placements: None of the students got placed because we did not have any campus placements. Only one company visited our college to offer placements, but none of the students got selected. They offered a salary package of 3 LPA. Internships are not provided for us.

I am dissatisfied with the placements.

Placements: None of the students from our course got placed. However, top recruiting companies for our course were EY and Cargill. We didn't get any internship, and EY offered tax analyst role for our course. Few of the students couldn't qualify in the interview rounds, so they didn't get placed anywhere. The highest salary package offered here was 4 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 2.5 LPA.

Faculty members were good for the BCA department until 2019.

Placements: Only one company came for placement, which was also not good. Placements are not that good for the BCA department, so we have requested for more opportunities. However, we were provided with aptitude training, so it was a bit helpful and very useful.

The only positive is the faculty and everything else is bad.

Placements: The college management at first didn't want to provide us any campus interviews. They just told us that it would be better if all of us do out PG and then start looking for placements. So there was no placement offered at first and then 1 company interviewed us and no one were recruited. .

Dissatisfied with the promises given by the college.

Placements: In the placements, there have been 2 companies, i.e., 1 for BBA which was Jaro and other for B.Com which was Deloitte. Other than that, no company came to the campus so far, and they have promised in the beginning that we will get placed in a company at the end of the course, and they are trying to bring even more companies.

Dissatisfied with the placements, fests and faculty.

Placements: We didn't have placements. Only one company has shown up, and that was Cargill. They conducted aptitude test, and hardly, three got selected. They also got rejected in the final round. We did not have any internships. We did not get any information on what roles were offered to the students.

It would be better to upgrade the college.

Placements: Almost 10% of the students of our batch got placed in Deloitte, big four and Jaro. The highest salary package offered was 4 LPA from Deloitte, and the lowest salary package offered was 2.5 LPA from Jaro. Jobs offered from Jaro were contract-based but not permanent.
