Review of Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira.
Placements: Our college provides few placement opportunities. A few students got placed in the physics and chemistry courses. Certain press companies come around twice a year to recruit students from either Bengali or English departments. The lowest salary offered is Rs.15,000 per month.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good and modern. The infrastructure of our college is good compared to other colleges under Calcutta University. Classrooms are equipped with projectors and whiteboards. The hostel facility within the college is compulsory for all students. The infrastructure of the hostel is not good. Around 5 students have to stay in each room. The food served in the mess is average.
Faculty: Our faculty members are highly trained and effective in teaching their subjects. Courses like industrial chemistry and physics included firmly practical professors. The curriculum for almost all departments ensured that students could efficiently progress to higher studies. It is an autonomous college. Exams are not much difficult. Questions are based on the previous year's booklets.
Other: I opted for this course because I scored the highest marks in English. This course helps in facilitating diverse knowledge about writers, their unique works, and the style of their writings. Lectures ascertained during the teaching are precise. They should provide an open environment for teaching the course. Many events and fests are held in our college. Swami Vivekananda National Scholarship is provided to economically backward students under certain conditions endorsed by the college.

It is a good college that offers great courses.
Placements: The recruiting companies are Magic Bus, TCS, and Axis Bank. Placement cell is active and gives regular internship and fellowship updates. Students of our batch got the opportunity to avail Gandhi Fellowship. There are opportunities for students to do several job-oriented courses to make themselves ready for placements.
Infrastructure: Our department has a separate language laboratory, high-speed Wi-Fi, and a departmental library. There is a scribble board in our department, on which students can write their wishes anonymously. Hostel rooms are well-maintained and have toilets.
Faculty: Most of the teachers in our college are from renowned institutes like Jadavpur University and the University of Calcutta. Students can connect with teachers personally to discuss different types of problems. Recently, the departments in our college have started one-on-one mentorship programs with specific faculty members. The course curriculum is changed regularly according to contemporary needs. Exams are conducted smoothly, and the results are published without any delay. Around 100% of students pass semester exams.

It has changed my life, and my best decision to join this college.
Placements: Around 90% of students get placements. Johnson and Jhonson visit to recruit from our college. The placements are good, and students get better chances and better opportunities to study in top colleges in India and abroad also.
Infrastructure: This is the best place to live and study. Hostels are completely furnished and well decorated. The best part is the discipline and the restrictions to stop wasting time and utilising the best of the student's time. Food quality is very good. A canteen is also available in this college.
Faculty: Teachers are extremely good and helpful. They teach students the best. The best physics department in Kolkata. The curriculum is extremely progressive and useful for national-level exams like jam JEST and TIFR. The pass percentage is 100%, and the examination system is very fair.
Other: This college has the most peaceful life that students can ever have.

This college has a cultural heritage.
Placements: As it is not an engineering college, you don't get any placements. However, after B.Sc, you have to pass M.Sc entrance tests like JAM, JEST, TIFR, central university exams, etc., to get an M.Sc degree. From this college, students get selected in reputed research institutions like IISC and TIFR. Many students also get selected in IITs through the JAM exam. Almost 90% of students get selected in these kinds of exams, and they pursue M.Sc. In this course, you get a B.Sc Hons degree in physics with maths and chemistry/computer science as general (pass) subjects.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available on our campus and classrooms, but you will need permission from HOD and the principal to get access to it. Labs are very enriched with instruments and much better compared to other colleges. The library is the most organised and beautiful place in this institution. It is highly maintained, and online catalogs are also available. Every department has its own place. You will get books even from 1960s period to the current edition. The mess and canteen are also well organised. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals are served here. Tea and snacks are provided in the morning, and meals are served 2 times, i.e., at night and at noon. A heavy tiffin will be provided in the evening. There is a dispensary, and regularly a doctor visits here. All sorts of sports equipment like cricket, football, volleyball, table tennis and badminton are available here.
Faculty: Faculty members here are helpful with an enriched academic background. The course was relevant. If you want to be a physicist, you have to be good at basics as well as with advanced studies. There are 2 main exams, i.e., mid-semester and end semester. End-semester exams carry the highest percentage of marks. They provide continuous assessments, class tests, quiz and vivas regularly). You have to attend a lab exam for science subjects. Passing marks is 40%. Our college has the new CBCS system of education, which is much helpful for students.
Other: I love to study physics, and this is the number 1 institution in West Bengal. NIRF ranked it 5th and is always within 10 ranks all over India. Due to this pandemic, the teaching mode has become online, and students are facing issues.

I am blessed to get into this college, and it becomes your second home as you enter the hostel.
Placements: Almost 80% of students got placed easily. B.Sc. students got into IITs to pursue higher studies. Some of the students got placed in Solvay, Johnson and Johnson, ACC Cements, Grasim-like companies. Academic internships are provided in IITs. Companies recruited students as analyst, chemist quality controller etc.
Infrastructure: Free Wi-Fi is available on the entire campus. A world-class library is available with a collection of more than 90,000 books for different subjects. Laboratories are great. One can individually perform experiments in different instruments. Except for the regular faculty members, eminent visiting faculty members are also there to support us. Teaching-learning facilities are great.
Faculty: It is an autonomous college, which can conduct its own examinations affiliated with Calcutta University. The teachers are very experienced, helpful and also very supportive. As the number of students is very less in our college, teachers can individually take care of students.
Other: Good financial support is provided for needy students.

It is the best college in West Bengal.
Placements: Every year 40-60% of students from our course get a job, and other students opt for higher studies. Our college provides high-level facilities and properly guides the students. They build a bright future for them. I am satisfied to complete this course from this college.
Infrastructure: There are advanced facilities in our college. We have projectors in every classroom. The quality of education provided is very high. The laboratories have advanced instruments like XRD, photoluminescence instruments, NMR instruments, etc. It also has a library with almost 70,000 books on different topics. It also has two playgrounds. It provides indoor games like table tennis, carrom, chess, etc.
Faculty: Our college has experienced faculty members. They are helpful in classrooms and even outside the classrooms. They guide us in the study and even in our daily life problems. They are guiding us like our parents. Semester exams are tough with respect to the level of other colleges, but the faculty members prepare us for that.
