Overall, my college is one of the colleges one can enter.
Placements: 86 percent of students were placed; the highest package was 8 LPA and the lowest was 2.5 LPA . And the top recruiting companies were Infosys , Wipro, Flipkart, and TCS. 62 percent of students got an internship in my course, but some didn't join the internship. The top roles are lab assistant and assistant in a textile factory.
Infrastructure: Lab is accessible to students with special educational needs and disabilities . It is large enough to accommodate classes . Also, the quality of food in the canteen or hostel is more than average. And there is also a large sports ground and enough equipment.
Faculty: Teachers are very friendly and helpful, and their teaching quality is extraordinary. Semester exams are a little difficult but also manageable due to the extremely level classes. The pass percentage is more than 90 . But my course is not curriculum-related. But it makes students industry-ready.
Other: I am interested in science, so I did a bachelor’s in general science. It would be better if there were more external exams in my exams. In college, one can apply for a scholarship if they can achieve enough marks. The campus is so crowded.

B.Sc. (Hons.) in Zoology - Batch of 2024

The best college for B.Sc. (Hons.) in Zoology courses.
Placements: In our batch of B.Sc. (Hons.) students in Zoology at Ranaghat College, approximately 70% of students were placed in various sectors related to their field. The highest package offered was around 6 lacs annually, while the lowest was around 2.5 lacs annually, with an average package of 4 lacs annually. Top recruiting companies included environmental agencies, research institutes, and pharmaceutical companies. Around 50% of students secured internships at renowned research institutes and wildlife conservation organizations. The top roles offered were research associates, lab assistants, and wildlife conservationists.
Infrastructure: Ranaghat College provides decent infrastructure for the Zoology Department. We have well-equipped laboratories with modern instruments for practical sessions, adequate classroom space, and a well-stocked library with relevant books and journals. The college also offers Wi-Fi facilities for academic purposes. As for hostel facilities, they are satisfactory with decent accommodation, although improvements in amenities like sanitation and recreational areas could be made. The mess and canteen provide satisfactory-quality food, though there's room for enhancement. There are provisions for sports and games.
Faculty: The faculty members in the Zoology department are knowledgeable and supportive. They possess relevant qualifications and often engage students in interactive learning sessions. The course curriculum is comprehensive, covering both theoretical knowledge and practical applications, which indeed prepares students for industry demands. Semester exams are moderately challenging, reflecting the depth of understanding required. The pass percentage is generally reasonable, encouraging students to strive for excellence while maintaining a fair evaluation system.

    Ofcourse it's a good course.
Placements: Hi, I am Chandrima today I will tell you about the course in detail. My classes have around 35 students in strength. My course is not job oriented so it doesn't provide any packages. After completing this course one can be a good teacher, professor or researcher.
Infrastructure: It's a government college and that's so obvious we will not have so many facilities. But yes, it was clean and tidy classrooms but not the washrooms it was very untidy and so was the canteen. There were no medical facilities out there. Everything we got was basic.
Faculty: The teachers in my department were all highly qualified. Everyone has done a Ph.D. so for that reason their teaching method was awesome but there were no regular classes which was disappointing. Of course, it makes us industry-ready. We used to have year year-ending exams. The pass percentage was 35%.
Other: I chose this college because it was within walking distance from my home so for that reason. The best thing was we used to do practicals and I love practicals. It would be better if they cleaned the washrooms and provided medical facilities. We used to celebrate all the festivals.

I am unsatisfied with poor infrastructure and average facilities.
Placements: Most students are trying to start another course and some go for SSC exams. No one gets placed. Zero percentage of students got internships this year.
Infrastructure: There are poor facilities and infrastructure. There is only one classroom for all 6-semester students, irregular Wi-Fi, and less lab instruments. There is a canteen but never runs, no food supply from the canteen and has no medical facilities.
Faculty: Teachers were very helpful and highly knowledgeable. This course curriculum is relevant but not much and should be improved. Semester exams are average in difficulty. Around 80% is the pass percentage.
Other: I chose this course as of my interest in Physics. Rules and regulations should be better. College is little affected by political parties.

If students want to gain knowledge and a good study environment then choose another college.
Placements: There are no placements that occur in this college. Because there is no placements season, and no company comes for recruiting.
Infrastructure: Laboratories' condition is not good, and equipment is not working properly most of them is unusable. There is Wi-Fi but it has a data limit of 30 MB. Classrooms conditions are not good. I am a day scholar, so I do not know about hostel facilities, and there is also no mess or canteen area in this college. The playground is decent and students can play football, cricket, etc. The medical facilities are average.
Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable but teachers do not take classes very often. If any student needs help in any topic they will help the student. It does not make students industry-ready. Semester exams' difficulty levels are good. The pass percentage is good like 4 or 5 students are failing.

B.Sc. (Hons.) in Botany - Batch of 2028

    Good college value for money.
Placements: Firstly it's a government degree college under kalyani university and placement are upto you and depend on your score but from college there is no such placement promises so there is no packages and all facilities. Placements and jobs are totally your responsibility if you have scored good and applied for job then if have that capability then only you will get job or placements.
Infrastructure: Talking about Infrastructure of college yes it pretty big college and a lots of students are studying there and one thing that I liked much about my college is whole Science department (including Physics mathematics, botany, Zoology Chemistry is separate building and so on other subjects building is different I don't know is every college have this same or not but I find this in my college. And there is no hostel facility so there is no topic to tell about.
Faculty: Yes in my botany section I found my teachers so helpful I was late admitted in the college but teacher make me understand what to do what not to do. College is also having an inbuilt canteen. Yes ofcourse in my sector of botany teacher are highly qualified with having Doctor degree and teachers are very old teaching from many years have a very deep and excellent knowledge about the subject they teach us. And they teach us on both Bengal and English language and teaches very well. After this B.Sc. There are multiple options for job such as. Agricultural research, horticulture department, scientist and more. Okay talking about semesters I am 1st year Student and have not given any semesters so I am not sure about that, but I have heard from my seniors that semesters are so difficult it's very hard to gain even a minimum passing marks so yes that's all I know about semesters.
Other: I choose this course because I was interested in botany so that made me choose this course I wanted to study this in deep and also I want to mention that this college under kalyani university gives you a lots of options in subject combination that most of the college. Under kalyani university don't offer. One thing that I don't like is union group political things in college that's what's drawback I have seen in college. Taking about events and fests they have lots of things like fresher farewell Holi party annual programs concerts and lots of things organized by college. And there is no huge amount of fee is there only have to pay at the time of admission and for semesters fee is required.
