B.Sc. in Non Medical - Batch of 2023

A good college having good infrastructure and environment for study.
Placements: Our college does not offer any kind of placements in B.Sc. non-medical course and it does not offer in other courses also. college does not offer package for students. No companies visited our college for hiring. No internship is offered too in our college.
Infrastructure: College has an excellent environment for students to study. teachers are well qualified and trained, their teaching method is also good enough. The college has 4-5 parks, an auditorium hall, library room, labs are available for practical activities, classrooms are also NEET and clean. Hostel of the college is well maintained for good for students. Hostel mess's food is of good quality and there is a routine for every meal on the daily basis. For the physical activities of students college hostel has a big playground of cricket basketball, tennis, a running track is also there. The college has an official cricket team, basketball team etc. NCC facilities are also available in our college.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful in studies, they are well qualified having Masters B.Ed and some have PHDs also. This course is very useful in industry of medical and it helps students in many industrial fields also. 3) semester exams are good enough and not too hard to pass and not easy to pass too.
Other: I was from a Non medical background and was interested in it that's why choose B.Sc. method of teaching of teachers and guidance is best in my course. Late fee charge is high and it should decrease. Annual sports day, Diwali festival, lohri festival, teej festival cultural programs such as gidha bhangra events etc. Are major festivals of our college, and crowd in the college is always above average during fests. Scholarships for the need students such as Dr. Br Ambedkar scholarship, National scholarship portals are major scholarships of college.

Best ever college of Ludhiana (Punjab).
Placements: It was approximately 60% of students last year who got good placements in different fields. The highest package was around INR 7.5 LPA, and the lowest package was around INR 4.4 LPA. The average package is INR 5–6 LPA. Placement facilities are not available if you are doing a B.Sc. in non-medical. In other fields, these facilities are available.
Infrastructure: Here are many facilities in this college, like: teachers allow us to do lab work and take reading with full precautions. In this college, you're able to show your winner's talent by singing, dancing, and other activities through different curriculum activities. One of the major benefits of this college is that we can opt for NCC (Air and Army Wing) without paying any kind of fee. If a student is eligible, teachers select him or her for NCC. Our college is full of greenery, which is very satisfying.
Faculty: Here are the most talented and highly educated faculty. They teach us like they are our friends. Each and every teacher is a very helpful person at our college. They taught us to understand all the concepts so easily that no doubts were in our minds. If any student has doubts, they clear them very politely. Semester exams are not too difficult. Teachers help us even when you are going to their lunch.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in science. I want to know how things really work, and in B.Sc. (non-medical), you are able to deal with the mechanisms of motion of plants, different types of instruments, different types of chemicals, and other physics experiments. There are scholarships for students from SC, OBC, and girls at this college. Students can sit in their free lecture very comfortably in the library. The campus of SCD College is very large. If a student racializes another student, he or she will face severe consequences.

SCD Government College - All You Need to Know.
Placements: There are no on-campus placements, but my college is famous for placements. Companies visit my college for placements, and I have heard that students who pass out from here are given priority for job opportunities. Famous directors David Dhawan and Nihal Wadera are from my college. Placements are not directly from college, but you will get a good job if you have the name of this college on your degree.
Infrastructure: This college is 124 years old. The classes are big, you get a good number of seats, and there is good space to study. There are separate buildings for each department like Chemistry, Physics, Maths, Commerce, and Arts. My college does have one big ground for athletics, one for cricket, one for football, and also one for hockey. There is also a flower garden called "Gulistaan-e-Sahir."
Faculty: The faculty is best in them, with very experienced teachers who are authors of various books. Some of them are international authors. But sometimes there is a shortage of faculty, so we have to study in combined classes. Some teachers are very strict about attendance, but some are not. The curriculum is relevant, and the semester exams are not that tough. Actually, you can easily score the best just by preparing previous year papers.
Other: My course is B.Sc. Non-M.Ed. I pay 8000 INR in odd semesters and 3000 INR in even semesters. There are many scholarships and various events like sports week every month. The Lohri function is the most famous of them.

Extremely satisfied due to extra curricular activities.
Placements: The lowest placements are there. Students are not given any information regarding placements by the teachers. No internship exposure is there for the students. From my course, no student was offered placement. As a student, for three years, there is no news regarding placements in our college.
Infrastructure: Overall infrastructure is in good condition. Our college has a smart class in most of the classes, Chemistry and Physics lab has apparatuses in good condition. Library has an uncountable number of books but it does not have books from our curriculum. Moreover, quality of food in the canteen is hygienic and drinking water is pure. Sports and games are highly promoted in our college. Every year, sports day is organised in which every student is given a chance to participate.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified and knowledgeable with excellent teaching skills. But sometimes, classes are not taken regularly which leads to dissatisfaction among students. Overall the semester exams are easy to moderate level. Pass percentage of every subject is 35%. The course curriculum is relevant if one has to do higher studies, as this course is highly informative.
Other: Each and every event, fest, competition is promoted perfectly in our college. Every student gets a chance to participate without any discrimination. Our college provides scholarships after every year for needy and meritorious students. Our college conducts regular seminars on career counseling, diet, cyber crime, plantation, traffic awareness, etc. My course helps to develop analytical skills. It is highly informative and is helpful for higher studies like M.Sc. and Ph.D. and clearing various competitive exams like IIT JAM etc.

I would not recommend joining this college.
Placements: Our course is general, so our college does not provide placements.
Infrastructure: Benches are not good in condition. Dust is present all around the walls. We need to clean the seats on our own. Pigeons flying in and out of the rooms. All windows are broken. There is no Wi-Fi in our college. Science labs are dusty and smelly. They are very dark. The library books are of no use and are stinky. Medical facilities are not available in our college. Our college does not provide importance to games. The hostel is average. Only junk food items are available in the canteen.
Faculty: Teachers will enter classrooms to complete their 40 minutes of lecture. They take attendance for 10 minutes and waste the time. Their teaching methods are not efficient. They don't complete the syllabus on time. Professors don't conduct classes well. Their teaching is not up to the mark. Students have to plan their futures on their own. We have to not rely on professors for the completion of the syllabus or any professional guidance. There is no fixed duration of the semester. Students need to study themselves to clear semester exams.
Other: The course is for 3 years. We have 6 semesters. They are very short compared to the odd ones. Skill-building courses are not available in our college. I opted for this college because it is near to my home. Our college should conduct interactive sessions. Open talks with professionals will be good for students. Our college needs to build hope in students. They don't aware of anything. All professors should take responsibility. They should solve the financial problems of students. Scholarships and a higher approach to studies need to be considered. Our college conducts a sports meet.

Satisfied, and for sure, the best 3 years of my life in SCD.
Placements: Teachers are helpful as they provide contacts and personal support for jobs but no official placements. But if you have good overall grades and are in teachers’ good books then you will get a good job in your field, even in part time before completing degree.
Infrastructure: Bad Wi-Fi, mostly it doesn't work. Good library and the classrooms are decent. All the facilities are present but none of them is perfect except the auditorium and the hockey ground. But for sure you will love the overall infrastructure.
Faculty: Faculty is good. They have a lot of attitude and they don't treat students well but overall everything is great, and they follow PU official syllabus. You can complete semester exams’ preparation overnight and exams are not too difficult. The course is strictly syllabus focused and the books are officially recommended.
