Sahya arts and Science college palamadam is the best college in malappuram, Kerala.
Placements: I am studying B.Sc. Geology in the 2022-2025 batch. Now, I am in the third and final year. Our college provides the best teachers for geology. Our department HOD is Riffin T. Sajeev. He is an excellent tutor who is the youngest paleontologist in India. We also study remote sensing in GIS. We have a well-provided lab with every crystal and different rock that we study. Our college provides good faculty for us. The minus point for us is the low number of students in our batch. We only have 9 students in the 2022-2025 batch.
Infrastructure:
The Wi-Fi is free for all students and also has good strength. The college provides us with a good lab with petrographic microscopes, lenses, crystal models, and different rocks that we study, such as igneous, metamorphic, and sedimentary rocks. The classroom is well-developed with good infrastructure and all necessities. It also has a PowerPoint projector that is used to give seminars and assignments. Reference books about various topics are available at our college library and in the department also. We have separate girls' and boys' hostels provided for our students and teachers near the college. The food is also very healthy and clean. For healthcare, we have first aid and more equipment in the college. For athletic practices, we have a large ground, a cricket net, a volleyball court, and also a shuttle court.
Faculty:
We have very talented and qualified teachers with great occupations. They are helpful to the students, not only in studies but also in other activities. They teach in the easiest way for the students. The Geology Department HOD, Riffin T. Sajeev, is the youngest known paleontologist in India. This course provides knowledge about the Earth and the various geological features present on the planet, and we study about space also. Geology graduates are relevant in various fields, such as petroleum and mining, construction, and ocean study. The exams are not that difficult for the students. The teachers and faculty do not allow difficulties to arise for the students when it comes to exams; they help the students to face the exams fearlessly and make them ready. We have a 98% pass percentage.
Other:
I would like to explore information about the various features present on our planet and am curious about it. By studying B.Sc. Geology, one can gather information about geological features and different rocks. We study the Earth in depth, from the surface to space. We lack a washbasin in our lab, which we expect soon because we already requested it from the management. We celebrate every event and festival in our college for our students, without affecting academic studies. All students join the festivals without any discrimination. The bond between the students in our college is remarkable. The campus is good for students to gather and enjoy during free time. Students are provided with various scholarships for their courses. We have an open stage, a long ground, and playgrounds for various extracurricular activities. Dance, song, and other activities are performed on the open stage and in the seminar hall also.

Life-changing opportunities await.
Placements: As of my knowledge, almost 60% of students got placed. The lowest package could be around 8k, and the average is 18k. I'm not pretty sure about the highest package offered in the particular course. There are many recruiting companies for the course, including government organizations. Over 50% of students got internships, but I can't name the companies. There are plenty of top roles offered, including copywriter, academic counselor, tutors, and many more.
Infrastructure: The facilities were not that bad, but they could be better. The library was top-notch. Actually, there is no hostel facility till now. The canteen is pretty impressive. The college has a medical team for assistance and is known for its soccer team.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful and qualified. The course curriculum is relevant and a key to the future. I can't say it makes the students industry-ready, but it provides a better foundation. The semester exams were not that difficult, just average. The pass percentage might be at least 90%.
Other: I chose this college because I'd like to graduate in these fields. Language, communication, journalism, and film studies are my cup of tea. The things I wish to improve are the syllabus and teaching methods. There are plenty of events and extracurricular activities at least once a week.

Sahya Arts and Science College Wandoor.
Placements: I'm now studying in the 5th semester. There are 45 members in my class, and we got internships in an old media office at Wayanadu, Media One office, 24 News channel office at Kozhikode, and some of my friends got it in Ernakulam district. There are no roles offered in college because this is a BA in English, so we don't get placements, and we need to study higher for placements.
Infrastructure: In our college, there are gym facilities for fitness. Most of the athletic and sports students use this facility. There's also an indoor badminton play area, and it's a Wi-Fi-enabled campus. We have a library, a cricket pitch with a net, and a football ground facility. There's also a canteen.
Faculty: The teachers are fully qualified, and most of them are friendly and humble. The teaching quality is good, but the semester exams are very difficult. The questions are tough, and we need to get 36 marks to pass a subject. We also have to score internal marks for the exams.
Other: Things that need improvement include the college campus, as there are no trees or tree shades. The events are good, and they conduct all festival programs.

I was actually satisfied in the college life regardless of other problems.
Placements: The placements were very less compared to other colleges. Only 10% students got placed in our batch. The highest package was 24000 and the lowest was 15000. The major companies were Esaf bank and popular Hyundai. Roles offered in my course was Human resources.
Infrastructure: There were labs, classrooms and libraries which were sufficient to the students. That was not bad. Wi-Fi was only limited to staffs and teachers only
There was no hostel available. Students were mostly from nearby places. Students from far away places took rooms for rent outside the campus.
Faculty: Faculty was good according to me. They were knowledgeable and helpful when needed. The curriculum was good as the college was affiliated to Calicut University. It was also relevant to current industry needs. Semester exams were tough for me but I got passed as the pass percentage is only 40%. .
Other: I chose this course as I was interested to take up a job in the human resources field and it helped me taking the job. The things I wanted to improve was the facilities and the surroundings. There were many events that made the college life colourful for me. The scholarship was given to most of the students. There were events for showing our extracurricular activities like athletic meets and arts fests. These were very good and enjoyable in my college life.
