Review of Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology.
Placements: In the 2018 batch, the lateral entry candidates from the diploma joined JEE main in the second year. The course is for 4 years. Students got placed in Larsson & Turbo, Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki, Byjus, etc. Students also got placed in core and chemical companies like Khanna Paper Mills and Owen Scoring.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is excellent. The new blocks are under construction. The hostel life is up to the mark with appropriate food and water supply. Hostels are well-maintained. We have digital classrooms.
Faculty: Faculty members are good and experienced. They have in-depth subject knowledge. Exams are conducted as per the curriculum and follow the guidelines of the Ministry of Education Government of India. The curriculum is well-maintained and changes accordingly. The course includes CRE, PDC PIC, fluid mechanics, engineering, mathematics, thermodynamics, and process calculation.
Other: Placements could be better for core branches. The campus is lush green but connectivity is not good.

SLIET- A silent way of approach through the nature.
Placements: The highest package offered is 6 LPA. The lowest package offered is 3–4 LPA. The top recruiting firms are Sonalika International, Mahindra, Godrej, Jindal Steel and Power Ltd., TEXNP Engineering, and Kangaroo. 70% of candidates are being offered internships at IRM Energy, Sonalika, and Kangaroo.
Infrastructure: CAD/CAM and stimulation labs are there. The food quality is good but non-vegetarian food is not provided in any of the hostels as it's a Jain college. Medical facilities are also good institutes that provide two different ambulances, one for minor health issues and the other for major health issues.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers were well qualified and some of the faculty members also take classes in foreign countries. Yes, students have to do industrial training at the end of the semester. The difficulty level is medium, and students who achieve a pass percentage of more than 85% will pass their academics.
Other: Since my school days, I have been interested in vehicles, so I chose this course. Everything is good, except some of the classrooms need to be renovated and should be converted into smart classrooms. Tech Fest for teaching enthusiasts and Madhuram for cultural events. Campus crowding is also good, as it has a lot of species of trees, reindeer, and a sake-free campus. Scholarships are also provided to those who merit them.

Sliet's review about hostel, infrastructure, faculty etc.
Placements: Placement is average here in sant longowal institute of technology. Mainly computer Science students get placed. Average package is 5 Lacs per annum. Off campus placements are high than the on-campus placements. The highest placement is 30 LPA (off campus). Top companies coming in sliet are infosys, tcs, cognigent, wipro, amul etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure at sant longowal institute of technology is quite good. We have high quality labs for almost all departments of engineering. Classrooms in sliet are equipped with smartboards. In every hostel whether it is boys or girls, have Wi-Fi connectivity with limit of 1 gb/day for 1st to 3rd year students and 2 gb/day for 4th year students. Food available in mess is average. There is small medical hospital in our campus. Sports ground are well maintained.
Faculty: As sliet is an government college under Ministry of Education, faculty here are highly qualified in their respect departments. Some faculty members are strict while some are quite friendly. Our course is designed according to present industrial needs. Semester exams here in sliet are not that difficult you can prepare for other exams while studying your own branch subjects.
Other: I am in computer Science branch (2022-2026). Techfest is conducted every year. We have lush green campus.

The beauty of Sant Longowal Institute.
Placements: Yes, our college provides placements but the graph of placements is going down over the last few years. Many known companies, like Infosys, TCS, JSL and many more, visit every year to give placements. The highest package is 21 LPA, and the average package is 4 LPA.
Infrastructure: Our course is very well designed because it is not only designed for theoretical purposes but also to give practical knowledge. Our classes, labs, and library are in very good condition. Our library, the digital library and the reading hall are fully air-conditioned. Our hostel is also very good but it needs to be renovated ASAP. But the mess food is the only thing that I don't like about my college.
Faculty: The faculty members of our college are highly qualified. This line not only suits our teachers but also our class counselors, and every branch has its own class counselor. Other than this, every student has their own mentor. Our course curriculum is very relevant to our field because we learn more about real-life applications. Exams are taken 3 times in each semester as minors 1 and 2 and the last major.
Other: I didn't choose this course by my own choice but by my rank in JEE Main. Everything in our college is at its best but transportation is a problem that every student has. So many fests, sports competition and teaching competitions are organized in our college every year.

College has a highly qualified faculty.
Placements: In our college, approximately 40-45% of students from our batch successfully secured placements. Numerous companies visited our campus for recruitment, with a majority of them being from the CSE branch. The average package offered for our course ranged from 2-8 LPA. Notable companies that conducted placements at our college included TCS, Vincent, Myntra, Maruti Suzuki, and Teach Mahindra, among others.
Infrastructure: The college's infrastructure was impeccably maintained, boasting excellent facilities throughout the campus. The Wi-Fi service covered the entire premises, while the library was well-equipped with a wide range of study materials. Our department had top-notch facilities that met all our academic needs.
Faculty: All the instructors in our program were supportive, competent, and well-informed in their specific areas of expertise. The curriculum of the course was pertinent and effectively prepared students for employment opportunities. The semester examinations at our institution posed a challenge. The pass rate at our college stood at an impressive 90%.

    The infrastructure is quite good.
Placements: Due to the recent recession in the placement drive, the placement in the CS branch is not as promising, while the chemical branch has a 99% placement rate. Before the recession, the CS branch had a 100% placement rate, with the highest offer being 68 LPA off-campus. TCS is the top recruiting company. Generally, students get internships in TCS.
Infrastructure: For self-study, we have a study center (reading room). The library has 10,000 books of various genres. The food quality in the mess is not great, but with time, you can get used to it. Medical facilities are good. You can access all sports facilities if you ever play at the national, state, or zonal level.
Faculty: Some faculty members are very supportive, while some are not. Only a few teachers may detain you due to your low attendance. Try to attend their classes as much as possible. We have training in the first year to understand the basics of industrial work. All teachers hold Ph.D. degrees. Semester exams are not very difficult; you need one day of study before the exam to pass.
Other: CS had a lot of hype at my time, which is why I chose it, and I'm also good at coding. Placement needs to improve. We have "Madhuram," our cultural fest, and a Techfest where you can apply for many scholarships.
