Satish Chander Dhawan Government College Scholarships and Funding
Post Matric Scholarship Scheme: Under this scheme of the Indian Govt. permanent
residents of Punjab belonging to Scheduled Castes are permitted scholarships in any part of
India for purposes of Post Matric/secondary education. Their family income from all
sources must not exceed Rs.2,50,000/- (further information concerning this scheme can be
obtained from the scholarship branch of the college)
State Scheduled Caste Scheme: The students belonging to scheduled castes, that are
permanent residence of Punjab and are studying in the colleges/institutions of Punjab, can
avail of this welfare fund. Such students are given scholarship under this scheme, if the
family income is less than Rs. 2,50,000/
Low income-class Scholarship: This scholarship is given to students who do not belong to
Scheduled Caste and Backward section, but their parent's annual income is less than Rs.
2,50,000/-

Placements: Placements for graduate courses are quite average, with the highest package of 10 LPA and the lowest 2-3 LPA. Many of the students got prestigious internships in their final year as medical analysts. It provides many postgraduate courses ahead that are aligned with industrial needs.
Placements: Our college does not provide any placements facility to the students. It only provides education to the students without any practical exposure which is much needed in today's world. As our college does not provide placements facility, so no company visits for placements drive.
Placements: There are only 40-45 seats in BBA in SCD Government College. Students need to score above 85% in their academics to get admission in this college. Several companies give internships to students. There are various activities conducted in our college, like group discussions, etc.
Placements: Only a few number of students get placement from our college every year. But some lucky students (say 1 or 2) get placement in MNCs and get salary package in lacks. In this course training is also provided for real world competition and the course is considered incomplete without internship.
Placements: There are about 120 students in our batch. The average salary offered was Rs. 35,000 per month. The highest salary offered was Rs. 55,000 per month and the lowest salary offered was Rs. 20,000 per month. Many students got their jobs in many colleges as an assistant professor.
Placements: I am studying a bachelor of science. About 35% of the students in the bachelor of science and most talented students as popular personality got placed. The salary offered to the students ranges from Rs. 30,000 to 80,000 per month in INSAT company.

This SCD Government College, Ludhiana, usually opens its undergraduate admissions in May every year. Admission forms were available online from May 23, 2024, for the academic session 2024-2025.
Although no official dates are released for the session 2025-2026, it would be wise to keep checking SCD

When will the admission for 2nd year B.Sc at SCD College start?
