Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute Scholarships and Funding
1. SRFTI awards scholarship to top 12 meritorious students on the basis of admission test for the first year and thereafter top 02 students from each stream receive the scholarship for second & third year. The amount of internal scholarship per annum is equal to 50% of the annual tuition fee i.e. Rs. 22,000/- per year at present.
2. Dolby Scholarship- First two 2nd year meritorious students of Sound Recording & Design students receive the Dolby scholarship every year, which carries an amount of 500 GBP per annum.
3. BECIL Scholarship- Broadcast Engineering Consultants India Limited (BECIL) has given the scholarship to meritorious students & the students belongings to minority categories under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Scheme run by BECIL for the year 2015-16.

Placements: Students from SRFTI are working in films and AD films. Most of the students of my batch are working as an independent and freelancer editor, director, cameraman, and sound recordist. The pay scale varies from project to project. If someone is working on a big budget film, they get a handsome amount of money.
Placements: Currently, SRFTI doesn't offer any campus placement for their students, but this can happen in the future. There are proposals related to this happening, from the student union to the administration. The majority of the students in the sound department have been working in various fields, both in location recording and post-production.
