The faculty members, infrastructure and amenities are really good.
Placements: Currently, I'm in 2nd year, so I'm not aware of placements. But as I've heard, placements were provided to students earlier but not now because of the pandemic. As per the college's prospectus, recruiting companies include Colombia Asia, Apollo Gleneagles, Manipal Hospitals and Aster Hospitals.
Infrastructure: The college has quite good infrastructure. Labs, classrooms and library are really good. The classrooms offer smart learning facilities with the help of projectors. A conference hall is available where seminars are held. There is no canteen available. Drinking water is available on every floor. Boys and girls have separate hostels, and those are not within the college campus. Rooms are furnished with bunk beds. Each room accommodates 6-8 people. No storage place is given. Bathrooms and washbasins are cleaned on alternative days by house helpers. Food is quite okay. They try to give us homelike food. On special occasions, they give sweets or other meals. Medical facilities are available in college.
Faculty: The teachers are the best part of the college. They focus a lot on academics and a basic understanding of the subjects. Their teaching methods are quite appreciable. They also focus on maintaining the discipline of the students. Rules and regulations are amended, so the students maintain regularity in attending classes, maintaining the college dress code. Students are usually kept engaged in studies because of assignments, tests, etc. Recreational programs and functions are held on special occasions. Apart from class tests and internal assessments, the university examinations are held yearly in the form of final examinations. As per the new guidelines of RGUHS, exams are held according to RS5, meaning the passing percentage is 50%. Students have to score atleast 50% both in the internal assessment as well as the final examination to pass a subject. Supplementary examinations are also scheduled for students who couldn't clear the final examinations on the first attempt.
Other: I chose this score so that I can build a career in the medical field. According to the current scenario, nursing has opened a wide scope for job opportunities not only in India but also abroad. The best thing I like about the course is the maintenance of discipline. I would like if the course could provide more exposure at clinics and patients bedsides.

B.Sc. in Nursing - Batch of 2024

Our college and its surrounding environment are really good.
Placements: Initially, there were placements, but now after completing their course, students are applying for jobs on their own. Placements are not provided by our college now. The starting salary offered for B.Sc students will range from Rs. 15,000 per month, while the highest salary offered will be Rs. 20,000 per month. After gaining experience, it'll increase.
Infrastructure: There is a very good infrastructure here, but there is no attached medical college. Our college doesn't have its own canteen, and the auditorium is very small to accommodate many students. Though classrooms, libraries and washrooms are very much clean and well-equipped. The hostel is situated outside the campus.
Faculty: Teachers are a good part of our college, and almost all the teachers are very supportive. They play a vital role in our exams and studies, and they are very hardworking. It is easy to study under RGUHS, but to pass exams, it needs true dedication and hard work.
Other: Due to Covid-19 and being a Covid-19 batch, we aren't able to enjoy all these sports, programmes and activities.
