Q:   Is it worth pursuing B.A. at School of Distance Education?

    A:
    {Source: B.A. students & alumni}

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's what can be concluded:

    * Teaching Quality: Teachers are generally considered helpful, knowledgeable, and skilled. However, some students reported that teachers may not be cooperative or may scold students for asking questions.

    * Course Curriculum: The course curriculum is considered relevant to prepare for government civil service exams, such as UPSC. However, some students felt that it doesn't adequately prepare students for industry jobs.

    * Placement and Internship: Placements and internship opportunities vary across batches and departments. While around 70% of students get placed, the highest package offered is relatively low (Rs. 3 LPA) and the average package is around Rs. 2.5 LPA.

    * Infrastructure and Facilities: Infrastructure and facilities, such as libraries and laboratories, are deemed adequate. However, some students complained about poor maintenance and lack of basic amenities like Wi-Fi and clean washrooms.

    * Overall Experience: Students' overall experience varies depending on individual expectations and goals. Some found the college environment suitable for studying, while others experienced difficulties due to inadequate resources and uncooperative faculty.

In conclusion, whether pursuing a B.A. degree at School of Distance Education is worthwhile depends on one's personal goals and priorities. If you're interested in pursuing a career in government service or civil administration, this course might be a viable option. However, if you're seeking employment in the private sector or expecting high-paying job prospects, you may need to consider alternative options.

Here are some key takeaway points for potential students to consider:

    * Research thoroughly about the college's reputation, faculty, and resources before applying.
    * Set realistic expectations about job prospects and salaries.
    * Consider additional certifications or training programs to enhance employability.
    * Develop strong communication and problem-solving skills to succeed in academics and beyond.
    * Seek guidance from current students, alumni, or academic advisors to gain a more nuanced understanding of the program's strengths and weaknesses.

Course Curriculum Structure for B.A. at School of Distance Education

Based on the reviews from students and alumni, here's what we can gather about the course curriculum structure:

    * Relevance: The course curriculum is relevant to prepare students for civil service exams, particularly the UPSC CSE job.
    * Industry-readiness: Unfortunately, the course does not make students industry-ready. It mainly focuses on theoretical knowledge rather than practical skills.
    * Teaching Quality: Teachers are highly qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful. They provide students with relevant and industry-ready course materials.
    * Exams: Semester exams are not difficult, and the pass percentage is around 33%.
    * Assessment: Students need to qualify each subject's exam to progress to the next semester. There is no semester system in undergraduate programs.

Overall, while the course has some strengths, such as its relevance to UPSC preparation and the quality of teaching, it falls short in terms of making students industry-ready.

It is excellent for studies, and sports opportunities are outstanding.
Placements: 80-90% placement, with the highest at 10L and the lowest at 3L, with Samsung hiring at 60%. Management is my major. I am a Bachelor of Arts graduate, and I have studied very sincerely from the first day of my college. I received rewards for that, achieving 92% marks in Bachelor of Arts. This gave me the confidence that I can do anything in my life, so I decided to become an IAS officer, and my teachers also support me.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi labs, e-classrooms, and food quality are the best compared to other colleges or universities. I study on this campus and I know how the facilities are provided to students. First, let's talk about food. The taste is average because thousands of students eat here, so it's not possible to maintain excellent quality consistently. Apart from that, all facilities are excellent.
Faculty: Teachers are friendly, supportive, and highly motivated. They love to help you wherever you face difficulties, whether on the campus or outside. They are always ready to assist you in any situation. They communicate with students just like friends, so students can share everything with them.
Other: Security is very good; no other campus students can enter the campus, and police patrolling is available.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of faculty, good placements in 2015, really good.
Placements: 85% of students were getting placed in this course. 3lac was the highest, 2lac the lowest, and the 2.5lac average package offered in this course. Not have Recruiting companies for college. 60% of students got internships from your course and in which companies.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are available for your course/department (e. g., Labs, Classrooms, Library). Not have any Wi-Fi. The library is well-maintained, and the faculty members are good. And infrastructure is good in this college so, that is a good college Jiwaji University.
Faculty: Were the teachers helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable? Teaching quality is good, and teachers are good. Is this course curriculum relevant? Does it make the student industry ready? Not difficult are the semester exams in this college. 33 is the pass percentage.
