Honest review of School of Open Learning, University of Delhi.
Placements: I am from Delhi University SOL, and they don't provide placement. The rest of the colleges of Delhi University provide placements, but the school of open learning does not provide anything, but they organize many events like internships, which are for 3rd year students, which is quite difficult in the process.
Infrastructure: We do not have any specific college. We get classes on Sunday in other colleges of Delhi University, which are taken by the professors there. However, most of the professors are good and they teach well. Our college does not provide any facilities like sports events or hostels. It is a distance college.
Faculty: Teachers are very experienced. Their method of teaching is very good from an exam point of view. According to me, if you are studying through distance, then you should be able to do self-study because in this college you get only 10 to 15 classes, which is not enough. If you are doing self-study, then the time given for studying between exams is sufficient for a normal student, which can be 4 to 5 months .
Other: My fee this year is Rs 9220, which is not justified by the facilities given to me in any way. I had to study from a distance so I chose S.O.L. Talking about campus life, if your Sunday class is being held on the North Campus or South Campus, then you can visit many good places and try some good food.

Class facilities are the best, and the environment helps students focus on studies.
Placements: In this college, around 78% of students meet the cutoff, and from those, approximately 64% secure placements through this course. The lowest package offered is INR 2 LPA, while the highest goes beyond INR 16 LPA, with an average of around INR 5-6 LPA. Tata is a top recruiting company, and about 57% of students receive internship opportunities, with Tata also being one of the companies offering internships. The roles are mainly in management, accounts, and audit.
Infrastructure: The college provides labs, classrooms, and a library, which are helpful for students. There is a paid canteen that offers fast food like samosas, chow mein, bread pakoras, etc., at reasonable prices, but the food is not healthy for students. Unfortunately, there are no medical facilities.
Faculty: Most teachers are experienced and knowledgeable but they struggle to connect with students and understand their interests due to their age. As a result, many students skip classes, finding them boring. The course curriculum is relevant, but the engagement level needs improvement.

School of Open Learning Review .
Placements: No Placements are provided in School of Open Learning. No the highest or the lowest and the average packages are provided in School of Open Learning. No recruiting companies are there usually. No students got an internship from any course and in no companies. No top roles offered.
Infrastructure: In my batch no classes are provided to students. But now Sol has started conducting classes on weekends for junior students so I have no idea about Wi-Fi availability, classrooms or library. Hostel is not for students in school of learning. No sports games available.
Faculty: Teachers are averagely qualified. Teaching Quality is also average. Curriculum course is almost same as Delhi University regular college curriculum. It may or may not make you industry read based over additional courses you do and your experience level. College exams are bit tricky and difficult. Pass percentage is 40 percent.
Other: I chose this course because my aim has always been civil services so this course proved to be as I had to attend coaching regularly. I wish we should have been provided with few classes in a week for better clarity. There were not events, fest, scholarships, activities etc. , .

Review of school of open learning.
Placements: No placements. No packages are offered; you can expect a salary of 15,000 per month, not more than that. Small companies may accept, but your skills matter a lot. Internships require skills or references. No top roles can be mentioned. It cannot be more than an executive; you need higher education.
Infrastructure: Library not provided. No hostel. You must have to get into regular colleges to get access, as if you want to go into that as I have seen some, they are not as good as you are in private, but if it is a government college, then you will feel it for sure. You must regret in their canteen; not good.
Faculty: Teachers knowledgeable. This course makes you ready only if you have skills. Or it's just a piece of paper. Industry truth. B.Com as a degree is not worth it or any degree if you don't have any skill. Degree nowadays is not the need of the hour. Very easy for those who study, or who do not study anything difficult for them.
Other: 4 lakh students in SOL. You can choose it if you are doing any professional course side by side. Events and fests only in DU regular colleges.

Review of School of Open Learning, University of Delhi.
Placements: DU SOL does not provide any internship or placement opportunities for B.A. students. However, this year, SOL arranged placements for two MBA students, offering them a package of around 4.1 LPA. Additionally, SOL plans to introduce internships for other courses in the upcoming year. SOL is consistently improving and striving to offer the best placement opportunities for its students.
Infrastructure: My study center, Motilal Nehru College, had a very beautiful infrastructure. It had well-maintained, average-sized classrooms with projectors, but Wi-Fi was not available. Some classrooms were poorly maintained, lacking even a proper floor.
Faculty: Teachers at SOL are not very helpful for students, as they often fail to clarify doubts. While they possess good knowledge and qualifications, their teaching quality is not adequate for students. In the case of my course, B.A., it does not sufficiently prepare students for the industry. Semester exams are not overly challenging, with approximately 75–90% of students passing every year.
Other: I chose this course because I find it easy to understand.

Crowd, infrastructure, and studies are good.
Placements: Approximately 30 percent of students were placed last year in the B.A. program. 5 lacs per annum was the highest package, 3 lacs per annum was the average and 2 lacs was the lowest package offered by my course. 40–45 percent of students got internships from my course last year.
Infrastructure: Facilities are quite good, like better drinking water and a fully ventilated classroom with high-speed fans. Buildings are well maintained in terms of painting, plaster, etc. I am not a member of the hostel, so I do not have full information regarding it. But food quality is both hygienic and tasty.
Faculty: Teachers are very polite towards us and helpful in understanding different concepts. Yes, the curriculum decided by the university is UGC-approved and covers all the relevant topics that are necessary to study. Semester are not much more difficult; it depends upon how much time you have spent studying. Pass percentage varies semester-wise; it is around 60%.
Other: I have an interest in these courses.
