Q:   Is B.Pharma at School of Pharmaceutical Science worth the investment?

    A:
    {Source: B.Pharma students & alumni}

Based on the reviews and ratings provided by students and alumni, here's a summary:

    * Pros: The course is curriculum-relevant and prepares students for industry requirements. Teachers are highly qualified, and most have PhD degrees. Labs are available, although some may need improvement. Internship opportunities exist, with around 15% of students securing positions in private pharmacies.
    * Cons: Lab facilities could be upgraded, and classroom maintenance is lacking. Around 5-7% of students secure placements, with a median salary range of INR 2-4 Lacs per month. While top companies like GSK and Cipla visit for recruitment, the selection process is relatively straightforward.
    * Infrastructure: Classrooms have AC systems, and libraries are available. However, Wi-Fi connectivity might not be reliable everywhere on campus.
    * Teaching Quality: Teachers are generally helpful and knowledgeable, but some may use outdated methods. Exams are considered moderately challenging, with a pass percentage of around 50%.
    * Career Opportunities: While some students find employment, others may face challenges in securing jobs. Top roles offered include pharmacist, drug developer, and researcher.

Considering these factors, whether or not the programme is "worth the investment" ultimately depends on individual expectations and goals. If you're looking for a well-rounded education and potential internship opportunities, B.Pharma at School of Pharmaceutical Science might be a suitable choice. However, if you expect a higher placement rate or more competitive salaries, you might want to explore alternative programs.

Remember that this assessment is based on subjective feedback and may vary depending on individual circumstances. It's essential to weigh pros and cons carefully when making an informed decision about pursuing this course.

Nice infrastructure and facilities, a smaller crowd, educated staff, and well-maintained surrounding.
Placements: About 5-7 percent of students get placement. The highest package was about INR 9 lacs per month, the lowest was INR 2 lacs, and the average is INR 4 lacs per month. Sun Pharma and Litmus Pharmaceuticals are the top recruiting companies. About 15 percent of students get internships in private pharmacies. Pharmacist, drug developer, and researcher are the roles offered.
Infrastructure: Labs, Wi-Fi, AC classrooms, and a library are available, but with fewer facilities, the labs are not well equipped, and the classrooms are not maintained regularly. Good food in the mess, sports tournament, spacious canteen, but with fewer food choices and not so clean as well.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and very helpful; the teaching quality is really good. Yes, this course is curriculum-relevant and also makes students industry-ready. The exams are not so difficult, and the average passing rate is about 80–85 percent.
Other: This course is so practical and offers more jobs than any other course. The facilities in the lab and time management can be improved. Yearly fests and events, green surroundings, sports, and Wi-Fi facilities are all there.

The college is not value for money.
Placements: A minimum of 60% is required to get placed. The highest salary offered is 20,000 per month, the lowest salary is 10,000, and the average salary is 15,000. According to the course, many top recruiting companies come here, but not according to college. Many internships are offered in our course but not in college. The course is good, but the college is not.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and a library are available. There are many internships. Good quality facilities are available in the hostel. The quality of food available in the canteen is average. Medical facilities are available.
Faculty: The teachers are not brilliant according to the college fee. Exams are not much difficult. Study normally, and you will get approximately 70%. The pass percentage according to the pharmacy of India is 50%.
Other: Events and extracurricular activities are conducted here. Scholarships are provided.

Dissatisfied with School of Pharmaceutical Science, MVN University.
Placements: Only some of the students got placements. There are no top recruiting companies visiting here. The average pack is 2 LPA and the highest package of 5 LPA-6 LPA. The top roles in this college are jokes only, I request everyone not to get admitted to this college, please.
Infrastructure: Facilities are available for labs, Wi-Fi, and a library but Wi-Fi doesn't have speed, The labs have expired chemicals and results can't be obtained from any experiment. Sports are not preferred in any case in this college. The canteen and mess facility is available.
Faculty: Some teachers are helpful but some are careless and don't think or care about any of the students. Nothing is relevant in this college. Students are not made industry-ready. Exams are difficult and the passing percentage is 50. Classes are conducted offline.
Other: I thought B. pharmacy is a good course and it is. This course opens many doors for my career.

The college is good, but the fee is too high for this.
Placements: Above 75% of students got placed in reputed pharmaceutical companies which include GSK, Mankind and Sun Pharma. Above 80% of students got internships in companies like German Remedies Pharmaceutical, Hamdard Laboratories, Cipla and Dr. Reddy's, etc., in which some students work as pharmacists, medical representatives, and pharmacovigilance.
Infrastructure: More than 20 Wi-Fi connections are always available on the campus. The classrooms are very good. All the rooms have air-conditioning systems and proper lighting and are noise-free. Hostel rooms are available on campus, and the mess and lodging facilities are good.
Faculty: The teachers are well qualified, and most of the teachers are Ph.D. holders, but their way of teaching is not so good. They only believe in teaching. Some teachers are not experienced, and students are not satisfied with their teaching.
Other: I chose this course because I had an interest in pharmaceuticals.

Review of School of Pharmaceutical Science, MVN University.
Placements: Around 90-95% of students are placed. The average salary package offered ranges from 2 LPA to 4 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Cipla, Tata, and Glaxo visit our campus to hire students, without any hard compilation they select students only with an easy interview.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good. The pharmaceutical laboratories are provided. Pharmaceutical organic pharma chemistry cogency and all laboratories are available with high-tech equipment and all facilities. Laboratory attendants manage it very carefully and the experience is good.
Faculty: Teachers are very intelligent in this college. They help each student with different techniques like projectors and laptops for better knowledge. They explain until the student understands what it means, and then provide an assignment so that the student get to understand.
Other: I opted for this course, because this university is nearby. Sometimes faculty members ignored the students and they are very arrogant.

It is only good at infrastructure. Faculty members and placements in 2022 are average.
Placements: About 22 out of 64 students in our batch were placed. The highest salary was Rs. 25,000 per month, the lowest was Rs. 12,000 per month, and the average was Rs. 15,000 per month. Most of the companies were those that we haven't heard of, like Unayur, Stanqualis, etc. But at some point, GSK arrived for pre-placement talk only. Almost every company is offering the role of MR (marketing representative). There were almost no options.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are huge. They have plenty of space, and have an air-conditioning facility. No Wi-Fi is available anywhere other than the library. Labs are clean and full of equipment, but some of it is rarely used. The canteen is average. There is nothing special except cleanliness. Sports events rarely happen.
Faculty: Teachers only teach what is written in the book or on the internet. Even the notes they provide are downloaded from Slideshare. They offer two or three industrial visits a year. They told us for regular visits while admission. The difficulty is medium for exams, and most pass.
Other: I chose this course because of its popularity and opportunities. Fests and events happen 12 to 15 times a year. The recruiters didn't even check our mark sheets before interviewing us. Whether you were first in the class or failed in all subjects, it doesn't matter. All will be awarded the same designation, so there is no point in one struggling to study hard if all students are going to get the same position.
