Placements: Scottish Church college does not hold rigorous placement processes. There are some good companies which visit the campus mostly in the last term of the third year of college, but they offer mostly BPO jobs or some basic job profiles. It was mostly a walk-in application and interview process. The awareness of the same was not communicated to the students properly. There is a placement cell established in the college, but it is inefficient. There is a huge lack of communication and guidance. Stude...
Placements: Through most of the degree course colleges in Kolkata do not offer placement, but our college does well. The giants like Amazon and infosys recruitment for the students. Most of the senior got placed in Infosys, and one of them also got placed in Amazon. Apart from that, there is grooming for the interview and stuff. The several seminars are conducted for that purpose.
Placements: It was neither good nor bad. The average package was around 2-3 LPA. Those who wanted to participate, did and most didn't. To be honest, I would've preferred a bit better placement opportunity. So there's a lot to improve in that particular area.
Placements: The placements are usually given from 2nd to 3rd year that can be either from the college specifically or can be found by us for both job or as placements. I currently work in a law and chartered firm that is being personally considered and not from the college placements.
Placements: Placements are good for BBA students but not for students of any other department. There are hardly any online placements. The placement cell officer is helpful. If a students asks him for a job then he will make an arrangement for you. Placement is average in this college.
Placements: Being a graduation college, the placement offered are only average. Though the companies that come for hiring are renowned and well established, but they are usually restricted to the commerce department only. So far, whosoever has been the opportunity from the college, has appreciated it.
Placements: Currently, I am studying M.Sc Physics at Jadavpur University. A lot of my classmates are in IITs, IIScs, TIFR, etc. Once you get into the college, you never have to worry about yourself. But, you must work hard. The other departments are also very good. It is one of the best colleges in the city.
Placements: Placement record of the college is not as expected from a college of this fame. Some companies like TCS have visited them once in a while but that's it. Don't expect to get placed as the placement record is very poor. Mostly students of maths, physics and computer Science are placed as companies software companies. There is a placement cell in the college but most of the times you will feel they are non-existent. We only got to see the peeps from the cell on our first day not after that.
Placements: The college faculty and placement cell help you find internships, which is helpful to complete your course and gain experience for full-time jobs after completion of the course. They also help you get full-time jobs after the course completion in MNC's and reputed companies.
Placements: The college has an efficient placement cell. They established an office for placement purposes in our millennium building. The students who have any questions can go and meet the placement officer. There is a special session on placement during the admission counselling and also a placement seminar for the graduating students every year.
Placements: The placements are really appreciable. Many of my senior got private jobs through campusing. And many of them are in a better place. Many seniors get job by the college campusing. A lot more company like TCS, TATA etc. are offering job to the 3rd year students.
Placements: There is no placement opportunity. It is a graduate course in honours subject. No students were given placements. As it is a graduate college, the placement opportunity is not there. The students join here for normal graduation degree in respected subjects the opted for.
Placements: The great campus placement opportunities are available. They also prepare us for cracking the group discussions and interviews. Special seminars are conducted on grooming the students' mindset. The placement cell and officers are always available. The salary packages range from 1.8 Lacs to 3 Lacs annually.
Placements: The placements were not much good in my department (Maths Hons). After graduation, everyone focuses on their higher studies M.Sc. Few students are interested in placements. Few companies came and offered some packages after the interview, but fewer students are interested in it. There is no scope of internship after completing graduation in maths Hons.
Placements: I am in the second year. 72% of the students in the seniors batch are placed in the placements. Various companies visited the site during the placements. About a turnover of 120 students got the internship from the college.
Placements: It is good. Some companies like TCS, Indigo come to recruit here. The placements here are beneficial as the students from every department can sit for the interviews. First, they come to recruit in college and then whoever gets selected are called for the second round of interview in some place else.
Placements: The college conducts campusing every year. Many companies participate in this campusing like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Capgemini, and many other pharmaceutical companies. From my department and my batch, 15 students participated in campusing, and 11 of them cleared and got a job in various companies.
Placements: Though its an educational college but we got some offer from tata consultancy service, some banks. Actually here most of the students want to study more. So at this point of view, at least 80% of students are placed in renowned universities in India and also in foreign. So to increase your knowledge is one of the best colleges of Kolkata.
Placements: Companies like TCS and Cognizant did come for placement. Overall, a good placement cell and will get you a good job as a fresher. Those who wanted to get placed were easily placed because of college reputation & quality of students being very good. The internship is provided by the college for different streams such as finance and marketing. I interned with Indian Overseas Bank for a month for my final year project in finance.
Placements: Scottish Church College has a good name all over Kolkata. If you ask anyone in Scottish church, they will quickly identify the college. This is beneficial in getting jobs after completion of BBA. BBA department has placement officer who is very well-versed and helpful. Most of the students generally go for higher studies after BBA because of the lack of good jobs. But if you want to get a job you can get into reputable companies. I heard one of our seniors got a job as regional manager of Swiggy...
