Overall, it is a good college to study.

Placements: The placements are good. There is a separate placement cell in our college. Campusing occurs there, and you can get the job in various companies. This is mainly from microbiology and BBA, but other students can also attend this. Not only this, but also our teachers guide us about the job, and they inform us about various placements.

The college is great if you are pursuing a graduate degree.

Placements: Though most of the degree course colleges in Kolkata do not offer placements, but our college does well. The giants like Amazon and Infosys recruits the students from our college. Most of my seniors got placed in Infosys, and one of them also got placed on Amazon. Apart from that, there is grooming for the interviews and stuff. The several seminars are conducted for that purpose.

A college reigning over Kolkata with pride and making progress every year.

Placements: Very few seats were available for my department at zoology. The student with his or her name at the last of the list also had a considerably good percentage at their previous examinations. The same goes for the senior batch as well. Almost every year, this college has at least one student to be on the list of top 10 rankers in the university. Free studentship is given for the first year students with economically weak background. Information regarding internships is not in my knowledge perimeter...

A decent college for normal study.

Placements: There are no placements for B.A in history. There are no placements for our seniors also. The college does not provide internship too but if any student, they can try for the internship on their own and the stipend will not be provided. The students should search for the job on their own.

It is a good college to study.

Placements: The placements are hardly happening other than the BBA department or the computer science department. Though there is a dedicated placement cell dedicated to the college, the chances are more for the science departments to get placed compared to the humanities department. Chemistry, physics, zoology and botany departments have a handful of vacancies.

Satisfied with the tenure, overwhelmed with faculty, good infrastructure with average placements.

Placements: The placement statistics were average with very fewer students getting placed. Being a UG college, the internship opportunities were limited, but this was equalised by the wide variety of opportunities available to the students through online portals like internshala and let's intern. Kolkata, as a whole, offers a lot of internships which can be availed by any individual, subject to their qualifications and skills.

Overall experience was good

Placements: There aren't many opportunities for placements within the college or from the campus. We were informed about the interview process in pool campuses though. There were hardly any companies for recruitment that came in the college. The placements weren't good enough. The college is good from a learning point of view, though.

Review on Scottish Church College

Placements: As far as the placement is concerned, the college is very efficiently working for a better future for every student that is studying in the college. Good companies are always on the lookout for students with good academics and skills of their own. The college puts a lot of effort to give every student a deserving future by bringing good companies for hiring.

Nice faculty but no placements and no industry exposure.

Placements: No placement is available from this institution. This is a college for getting your graduation done. Seminars are organised here on a regular basis on different topics. The professors from various universities attend those seminars which are useful, but the college does not assist with placements. If you really wish to have placement after studying History (Hons.), you have to give a try by yourself.

The college needs a good campus life and an infrastructure to present its students an exposure to the modern market. Basically a proper marketing is needed to uplift this drawback of the college. We have good faculty members and proper structure for education but there should me more seminars and practicality in the courses which is basically more accepted in modern world, nowadays students learns and wants to apply them practically. Hence there is a need to initiate this plan by making a corrid...

The College is regarded as a set of excellence with a very strong alumni base. Its great keeping in mind the quality of teachers and level of education provided. Regarded as one of the best in the state when it comes to B.Sc. or B.A. honors courses. The minus points could be lack of a strong placement cell which is not being able to leverage the absolutely excellent quality of students that the college has.

There is a misconception that there are maximum cheap Bengali crowd in the college which is not true. It’s quite decent in maintenance and infrastructure. About my course, only some teachers of the department is standard, Rest are sub-standard or not teaching the subject in which they excel. Overall the academics for Economics Honors is average. Heard that English Honors is good. No idea about the rest of the departments. And since the college is under CU, the syllabus structure in each and ev...

SCC is one of best in colleges in Bengal regarding study, teachers, campus facility, campus life, culture. I cannot write well. But it transformed us from just students to romantic genius. Now we are dispersed around the globe. Once you are there..."you can check out any time but you can never leave.

college has great learning atmosphere one can academically learn lot form here. Now if i would write something about placement it would be useless. Because placement is something you won't find here. college has everything that is name, infrastructure placement officer but still placement is something which is hard nut to crack. now coming to course it very tough to pass and every year about 40-50% candidates fails to pass and marking system of calcatta university is also very poor. so it is rec...

A really supportive faculty with a deep history of success in various time periods.

Placements: About the batch of 2020-2023, it had a total strength of 40+ students. While graduating, many of them were given the opportunity to delve into competitive examinations where preparations were given adequately while many pursued their own passions like that of music, etc. Infact, top recruiting companies like that of TCS and others arrived for campus placement for us. However, in the case of internship, it had a minimal percentage while others chose from outside the college premises. Most of the...
