S GEC college is old but gold.

Placements: Shantilal Shah government Engineering college Bhavnagar is the very good college for the placement selection. The placements offered are more than 70%, and placement companies are large and worldwide. The other college students also got the placements in this college. So this college is good for the placement related.

The quality of education is proper in this engineering college.

Placements: The college has the good placement programs. Most of the MNCs and many reputed companies all over the world visit serval times to choose the properly educated engineers from the college. There are some locally based companies, who love to visit the college for the placement everytime and every year. Most of the students appear for the placement.

Keep moderate expectations on this campus.

Placements: As it is a government college, don't keep many expectations from the placement. Some companies do visit the campus to hire the students. Reliance is the top recruiter for IC and the mechanical branch, but it recruits only one or two students, sometimes not even one. But you might get placed by the placement cell of the university.

The best college for degree in a low budget.

Placements: The college is the best for knowledge and practicals. Placement services are weak. More companies come for the mechanical branch and place the students. For other branches, there is a poor performance. At the beginning of 2017, in IT branch, Infochip came and placed 3 students.

The college is beautiful and environmental-friendly.

Placements: The placements on the college are good. Most of the students got placed in L&T company. But in all the other branches, the placements are not good. Like mechanical, only two students got placed from the college. The only one company arrived for the placement. In concern of the placement, the college looks like average. But a comparison to the other colleges, this is good.

Best teaching faculty. Best practical labs.

Placements: Five to seven companies are visiting the campus for the placement. NAND Infrastructure is one of them. About ten candidates were selected during the interview and are offered good packages with other facilities provided. The IT companies provided a huge package of 3.6 LPA during 2017 placements.

I have got an admission in government college, which is good for studying engineering.

Placements: In my college, there are few chances of placement. It is a government college, and consists of mechanical, production, information technology civil, electronics and communication, electrical engineering branches are available and offer few placements. The purpose of placement are from a certain company is like a Reliance, ONGC, many local companies etc. The average salary offered to the placement student is something around one lakh per annum. The average percentage of placed students is 8.5%.

Absolutely dissatisfied with the placements and industrial exposure.

Placements: Placements provided by our college are quite good as many companies visit the campus like Reliance Industries, Adani Group, and Torrent Power for core branches like mechanical, electrical and civil. Placements are good for information technology and ECE students. Infosys, TCS and Infochip visit the campus frequently. Different roles like a junior engineer, junior supervisor, etc., are offered. The highest package offered is Rs. 8 lakhs per annum, the lowest package being Rs. 2 lakhs per annum an...

Shantilal Shah Engineering College is very good for all students

Placements: I am studying in Shantilal Shah Engineering College. Our college is very big and very popular in Gujarat Technical University. Every year, many companies are coming for the campus interview like Tata, Reliance, Adani, HR Steel, etc.

Our college is good. It is not well-known but it is good to study and improve skills.

Placements: In our college, many companies come for placements like Reliance, Adani and HR Steel. Last year, EC and IT students' placements were good. But for other branches, placements were poorer than EC and IT. For placement, 30-40% are eligible for campus interviews. In that, 59% are selected for different types of jobs.

Partially satisfied with the college infrastructure and faculty.

Placements: The campus placement of the college was average at our time but now, it's really good. L&T and Reliance visit the campus mostly for mechanical. From a strength of 120, only 3 to 4 students got placed at our time.

Good in infrastructure but lacks in knowledge.

Placements: The intake of the electrical engineering branch is 60 students out of which only 2 persons selected from 2012-16 batch. Only one company visited during the placement season and the name of the company is Adani Power, Gujarat. The package offered to them is 4,30,000. No other company arrived for the campus interview. One of the students who was selected by Adani works in Adani Solar PV Manufacture company. Reliance industries also came for the mechanical engineering branch and selected 3 students...

A good college, pretty good faculty, not so satisfying placements and great campus.

Placements: Placements are available with the best companies like Reliance visiting the campus. But the catch is you need to excel at academics i.e. no failing in any subject. There are other regional companies who participate in the placement activities. People prefer to go for higher studies.

Review of Shantilal Shah Engineering College.

Placements: There are not many reputed or multinational companies having placements in all branches except mechanical and IC. Some regional companies like Infocheap and Smart Info are there for my information technology branch.

Change of life, gave me my way level up.

Placements: The placement standard in my college Shantilal Shah is average. In 3 years, I have seen that almost 45 students were placed through college placement interviews. Compared to other GTU colleges, my college is better. The companies like Reliance, GLP, Bhagwati and many more offer us placements.

Because of our college management, placements are not good. Infrastructure is very good.

Placements: Our senior batch's placement was bad. Only 2% students (3) were selected in placement. The students' salary is 4.5 lacs/year. Only Reliance visited our campus. Thay offered the role of an engineer. The students are not provided any internship by our college but the students find a company for training and internship by themselves. 50% student hence go for training or internship.

Shantilal Shah Engineering College has located almost 15 km away from the Bhavnagar city. All the students who have completed their graduations are in a good position today in the reputed companies. SSEC has a library, computer lab, boarding for the student, mess food in the hostel, canteen, well-equipped labs for the practical work, a workshop for the first year students with Lathe machine, drill machine, UTS machine, and much more facilities. The faculty is average as they employed recent deg...

It’s a good college if you want to enjoy your college life. Lectures stress is least and you will have plenty of time to do extra curriculum activities. Shortage of faculty is there, but you can manage it through self-study. Placement records are not so good. College is situated near a rural area, which is approximately 10km from town, but doesn't worry rickshaws are available all the time. The campus is very big but not fully developed and doesn't trust the photos shown on their website. So ove...

Nice government engineering college but 10 KM away from Bhavnagar city. Infrastructure is quite good and it should be more improved in following years. Direct bus and rickshaw facilities are available from Bhavnagar city. It has such a great faculties but there is little disappointment on their focus on student’s practical knowledge.

Even though the campus is very large, there is no such thing like facility members and exposure which an engineering college should provide its students. Zero Placements, for a college that has more than 2000 students, zero placements is like pathetically bad. The faculty members are not up to the mark and even the college crowd is not so great. Hardly a lectures are taken. Students are not exposed to real world dynamics. They just don't come out of writing tutorials and assignments. I will not ...
