NMIMS Shobhaben Pratapbhai Patel School Of Pharmacy & Technology Management Retains the 11th Rank in the Recent NIRF Ranking

June 9, 2023: According to the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), SVKM's NMIMS Shobhaben Pratapbhai Patel School Of Pharmacy & Technology Management has retained its 11th place among pharmacy colleges in India. The ranking is determined by a number of factors, including outreach and diversity, research and professional practise, teaching, learning, and resource availability, graduation rates, and perception. The National Institutional Ranking Framework, approved by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), was launched on September 29th, 2015. It provides a methodology to assess and rank educational institutions across the country.

A total of 16 colleges from Maharashtra participated in the rankings, including prominent institutions such as the Institute of Chemical Technology, SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Poona College of Pharmacy Pune, Bombay College of Pharmacy, and many more. With the outbreak of COVID-19, the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors experienced significant disruptions. Consequently, the Indian government has prioritised these industries and introduced new policies and programs to enhance local access and affordability of quality healthcare. The Indian pharma industry has witnessed a compound annual growth rate of 11% in the domestic market. Projections indicate that between 2020 and 2030, the industry will grow at a compound annual rate of 12% and reach $130 billion by 2030.

Our college provides a good education.

Placements: In our college, almost 70-80% of students were placed. The highest salary package offered was 58 LPA and the average salary package offered was 23 LPA. Around 30% of students opt for a master's degree in pharmacy. Our college conducted summer internships. The highest stipend was 4 LPA.

The college campus is very peaceful with good labs.

Placements: The placement cell does a good enough job as it offers better placements than any other college. Placements are in the field of Pharma as well as management jobs. The placements offered are for all and everyone is given a job. It has a 100 percent placement record.

Review of Shobhaben Pratapbhai Patel School of Pharmacy and Technology Management (SPPSPTM).

Placements: Almost 100% of students got placed. The lowest package offered is 5-6 LPA, the highest package is 9-10 LPA, and the average package is 7-8 LPA. The top recruiters are Sun Pharma, Alkem, Glenmark, Torrent, Mankind, Cipla etc. 70-80% of students got internships during Covid. Earlier, it used to be 100%. Students are mostly recruited for sales, marketing, and business analysts.

It is a good course to get a great learning experience in pharmaceutical and managerial fields.

Placements: Marketing and sales, consultancy, marketing manager, and supply chain management roles are offered to the students. The college is visited by the top pharma companies such as Novartis, Alembic, Cipla, TCS etc. Many companies offer paid internships to the students in their desired fields.

Really good infrastructure and facilities. The college has a great placement cell.

Placements: The college has a great placement cell. I haven't yet sat for the placements but as I've heard, the college provides 100% placements to all the students based on their academic performance. Top recruiting companies which visit the college for offering placements include Glaxo smith line, Zydus, Abbott, Cipla, Lupin, EY, etc.

Good placements, nice infrastructure.

Placements: The placement cell in this college is perfect in fetching all the top Pharma companies and getting their students great packages. Anyone with interest in medical and health sciences is in for a treat and test in this college. And, I'm sure you'll leave with a smile at the end of it.
