Infrastructure: The college is weak on this front. It has old buildings and being in the middle of the city, very less space. It has been built on a space of 33 acres only. However, they are trying to improve it by erecting new buildings but again, lack of free land in college comes against it. Faculties: This is one of the strongest points for the college. The college has some really great and experienced faculty members. Almost all professors are either Ph.D. holders or are pursuing it. Some ...

If your dream of becoming an IITian and top NITian is not fulfilled, then this is the best college to opt. Best faculty of central India resides in GS. Go with GS if your rank is between 25k- 40k in JEE mains. Without any doubt it is one of the best technical institutes in MP. Placed in the heart of the city, you'll never find yourself away from anything. Campus life is ok. Canteen food is just like any other college canteen. If you're expecting a college life as shown in movies then SGSITS in n...

The college provides very good exposure of theoretical as well as practical exposure to the mechanical engineering student. Placement are mostly in core companies (even better than most NITs) majorly automotive sector. The last 5 years average package in core companies ranges between 4-6 lacs per annum. But since last 4 years, college has given many toppers in professional examination like GATE and CAT. Around 10 percent student each year get placed in public sector undertaking and other 10 perc...

Everything is fine with Gsits, if a person is dedicated to achieve goals in life. I am civil engineer and did my M.E. in structures from GSITS. Faculties are excellent in giving knowledge to students and keep them motivating. Labs are renovating so definitely this will again bring back the expert lab experience for students.

Overall, good placements but less industrial exposure.

Placements: As I'm in my 3rd year, so I will give my review for the placements of my seniors. Till now, out of 70, 25 of my seniors have been placed. Major recruiters were from the mechanical core field like Suzuki Motors, Honda R&D, Honda Motors, Tata Technologies, Asian Paints, Eicher, etc. The non-core companies included Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The highest package offered till now was 8 lakhs per annum by Asian Paints and Eicher. The average package offered was rupees 5.7 lakhs per annum. The...

Academics best in state. Highly qualified faculty and in the end a very good placement. Nominal fee budget. College location in the heart of a mini metro city. Scope of improvement in indulging students in extracurricular activities. Also a little more improvement in infrastructure.

Pros - The library is full of rich knowledgeable books and the central workshop is organized. The staff is well qualified. It's located in one of the prime areas of the city so easy connectivity. Ig promotes extra cultural activities also. Cons - the college lacks proper sanitary facilities. Due to a lot of reservation the campus crowd is mediocre.

As the name of the College itself describes that it is the Best College for Bachelor of Engineering (B. E.). Here some of the Faculty Members are much better but some are not as good as we expect. Extra-curricular activities are also very well performed. Placement packages are average. Library section contain lots of books and provides high speed Internet facility.

Best college in State. Have to work a lot and harder as well. Placements are good as well. Faculty and staff all are good, teaching is more practical than theoretical which a good thing, helps you learn quicker is. Exams are a little tough. Crowd is alright not that high class people or anything, campus is a little small but has the best facilities in state.

As the campus is situated in outer area of city so students do not get chance of exploring and outing more places, so they concentrate on their studies. Canteen is neat and clean but food is not good. Fees is feasible. Middle class parents can think of theirs kids to educate here. Faculty is well qualified. Their lectures are delivered very confidently.

M.Tech sucks here. For B.Tech its quiet good, college has maintained its repo since decades but management is very poor n infrastructure is too bad. For B.Tech placements are there. Actually SGS is known for its placement only; legacy of this college is at its stakes. From 16th position it has fallen down somewhere near 90th position so choose wisely.

After MANIT, Bhopal it is the second best college of MP where you will find placements in good companies of CS, IT and mechanical . The fee structure of core field is less but not of IT and biomedical .These branches have their different fee structure and it is more than other branch’s fees. Facilities are not so good but you will find a healthy competition because here students take initiative and make their way to achieve success.

Infrastructure is below par. Labs have improved recently .Placements are great for CS & IT .Companies like Deloitte, Musigma, Ityam, Barclays, Snapdeal visit every year.
