Dissatisfied with the training and placement cell of the college.

Placements: The placements are not much good. The companies don't know that SGSITS provides MBA course. The college should promote its MBA course so that the placement of the students will boost. The students will have good placements if the college promotes and improves their tie-ups with companies.

It depends on the students. You'll get everything that you need to be an engineer.

Placements: Core placements are negligible, but you will have fair and adequate chances to appear in IT companies, and there are good packages also. You'll have lot of time so you can easily shape your career as you want. You'll get chances to appear in companies like Infosys, Wipro, L&T Infotech, Capgemini and many more.

Decent Faculty but Nothing to brag about the placements.

Placements: The problem with my branch is that it does not get a lot core companies visiting our campus. Mostly software companies visit our campus for recruiting Biomedical students. The strength of class is also less, 30 student at max, out of which about 10 get placed.

College life at one of the most reputed colleges of Madhya Pradesh SGSITS.

Placements: If you are more focused on core electrical placements from college, then you may be disappointed, but if focusing on PSU and M.Tech then it is the place for you. The faculty here is quite experienced and always ready to give their guidance which will help you to get expert on the subject. More or less the quality of content provided depends on the calibre of the batch. You will find here most of your friends will preparing for further studies or PSU.

One of the good colleges of M.P.

Placements: The placements were average. The average package was around 3-5 lacs. Not very reputed companies like GE Healthcare, Philips, etc., are interested. BME department also provides training for placement. The training and placement cell officers (student, teachers and other members) controls all the activities related to internship and placement. The frequently visiting companies are Aditya Birla Group, Idea Cellular, Wipro, Texas Instrument, Wipro Technologies, Capgemini, SAP labs, Tech Mahindra, S...

The faculty of the college was good but the college lacked infrastructure facilities.

Placements: Placements for our batch were not as good as our previous batch. Our senior batch (2013) had better placement percentage as our batch. In our batch around 70-80% of the students were placed. The highest salary offered was around 15 lakhs and the lowest was around 3 lakhs. The average salary was around 4 lakhs. Companies like Microsft, Larsen & Toubro, Volvo Eichers Pvt Ltd (VECV), Trident, Shakti Pumps, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini and many more visited the campus. ...

The college has the good placements, the bad faculty members, and infrastructure facilities.

Placements: The placements of the college are good. The average package is 4.5 LPA, and can be up to 10-12 depends on your capability. The highest package was around 12 LPA in 2017. This year, Goldman Sachs came for hiring the interns, and this happens for the first time. Also, Directi is going to come in the next year. So, the ample opportunities are there to get placed in your dream company.

SGSITS, known as the best college of MP, has decent placements and unsatisfactory campus.

Placements: Placements from SGSITS for IT and CS branch are descent. A student having CGPA greater than 7.5 is allowed to sit directly in the interview. Rest has to appear for a test. The average package for the college is 6 lakhs. Big companies like Microsoft used to come some years back but they have not shown any interest for the past 2-3 years. Many students also opt for their masters in technical and management field after having done their bachelors.

SGSITS- One of the best engineering colleges in Central India.

Placements: The college boasts of a huge array of companies such as Deloitte, Mu Sigma, Ityam, VLSI, Wipro, Idea Cellular Ltd., Capgemini, Cognizant, etc. that visit it for placement. The average package, however, has been a little low. With Deloitte offering an average package of around Rs. 7.5 lakhs (but selected only 6 students) in 2016, and Itiyam of Rs. 8 lakhs (selected 13 students only), other companies lag a lot below this, averaging only around 3-5 lakhs per annum. Better than most but definitely not the best.

Placements: In computer science and information technology, placements are almost 100%. But only a few big companies like Deloitte, SAP Labs, IIITEM, MU Sigma visit the campus with the highest package 10 lakhs. In 2017, IIITEM offered 9.7 lakhs to 2 students, Deloitte offered nearly 6 lakhs to 5 students, SAP Labs offered around 7 lakhs and rest were placed in Infosys, Cognizant and Wipro with packages of around 3.3 lakhs. So leaving 10 students, all got a package of 3.3 lakhs or above. Only a few student...

SGSITS: review by a person who is in the college!

Placements: The companies that approach SGSITS are generally companies with crowd mentalities and they will hire everyone. It is not astonishing to see that SGSITS has a 90% placement ratio, which compares to most IITs and NITs. But again, the level of packages have a huge contrast. The average package that I heard of, which might be factually wrong, is 3-4 lakhs, which is not a lot.

Good infrastructure with good and experienced faculty. There is a lack of good placements in civil.

Placements: As far as placements are concerned, the college in not good in civil engineering. As for the other branches, however, if you are good with coding you can probably get into IT firms like TCS, Infosys, Wipro etc. In my college time, only two core companies (which were some local firms) for civil engineering visited the college and provided a package of 3 LPA. Every company in the college provide at least 3 LPA. Most of my colleagues are still unemployed even now. Overall, 30 students out of 120 w...

College to have good present but got to work hard for future.

Placements: Almost everyone got placed. Half of us were in day 1 companies like Infosys, Cognizant. But some of us do have really good packages in good companies. Highest package from our batch was about 9.5 lpa and lowest was 3.5. Since I was in IT, mainly junior developer profile was offered. And if you're looking for internship, the college is not much of help. Here, you have to do a lot of work. If you're an average student, you'll get placement- not extraordinary but you'll survive. A decent college, not bad but not good either.

Placements: The placements' stats are not at all comparable to the IITs and IIITs. Here , a majority of companies that visit are service-based companies. In 2016, SAP Labs and Adobe are the only two product-based companies which visited with a package of 6 LPA and 9 LPA. The rest of the companies are mass recruiters except Deloitte , Mu-Sigma , and Infobeans. In total, around 15-20 companies visited with only two as good ones(but Adobe was also for testing). So, the placements are not very good. A majority...

M.Tech sucks here. For B.Tech its quiet good, college has maintained its repo since decades but management is very poor n infrastructure is too bad. For B.Tech placements are there. Actually SGS is known for its placement only; legacy of this college is at its stakes. From 16th position it has fallen down somewhere near 90th position so choose wisely.

After MANIT, Bhopal it is the second best college of MP where you will find placements in good companies of CS, IT and mechanical . The fee structure of core field is less but not of IT and biomedical .These branches have their different fee structure and it is more than other branch’s fees. Facilities are not so good but you will find a healthy competition because here students take initiative and make their way to achieve success.

Placements: I am in civil engineering branch although I am in first year so I don't know much about the placements but i have talked to few seniors and they said that placements of core branches are not that good, like they are pretty average. Placements ratio is decent though, you can easily get placed if you are an average student.

Placements: Placements are offered according to the abilities of an individual. Students should have done an internship with a certificate. The college provides many opportunities for the students. An individual must be able to grab it and make it a golden chance as many top companies visit the college.

Overall a decent college.

Placements: I am still not graduated from college but I have heard that the placements are pretty good. The college help students in providing internships and currently I am doing one. The highest package was provided by Goldman Sachs. Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank and Quantiphi are top recruiting companies. I don't know only 2 companies have come till know and about 20 students have been placed in Goldman Sachs and Deutsche Bank.

Need Improvements, no institution is degenerate enough that it cannot be rescued.

Placements: 80% students got placed. 22 Lacs/annum is the average package offered to the students. Goldman Sachs visited here. 30% students got internship. Internships were not offered by the college, but we have to find them on our own, the placement cell is run by bullies who use their upper hand to play the power game. They don't care about the students. They just follow mindless rules which doesn't accommodate an outsider.
