The infrastructure, placements and faculty are not good even though it's on the 2nd position.

Placements: Placements are good for CS and ENTC branches. Good placements are offered by TCS, Tech Mahindra and HCL. But there are no placements for mechanical, civil and electrical branches. There are no placements for instrumentation, pharmacy, etc. branches also. Packages offered are also quite low.

Not so good placement in 2017 in core branches.

Placements: Placements are good for some branches like CSE etc. But core branches are not too good for placement. Top companies like tcs, tech Mahendra places a big amount of employees from the college. Across 30% students get placed every year. In average 5 to 6 Lacs of yearly packages offer.

College with not very good infrastructure but with best faculty members of Bhilai.

Placements: Placement in my batch was not that good, many few companies. Visited our college and also the package offered by them was also very less. So, that's why very few students opt for campus placement. Previous years too there were very less companies interested in our college and in my opinion its fault of the college management.

It is not a good college, still better than the other colleges in Bhilai.

Placements: The placements are only for the students from CS, IT, mechanical, etc. Owing to the companies and their field of operation, such as TCS, Tech Mahindra, and a few other lesser known groups along with a few startups. Expect 40-50%, and they are providing a number of branches do not get even one company related to their own field of expertise. The packages go up to a maximum of 4 LPA and around. Here, the students do not get paid for an internship because the college doesn't provide any such opport...

There's a lack of good placements, teacher to students ration is higher than Shankra 1 and Shankra 3

Placements: There's no placement guaranteed, there are only 20-30% of students were placed, the highest salary offer was almost 25lac p. a and the lowest goes to 4 lac p. a. there's lot of companies visited to shankra 2 ( SSEC). Internship is conducted by college only to 10% of the students ( top 10 ).

Absolutely dissatisfied because of no placement in 2013 and student-faculty ratio was not proper.

Placements: No, any placement was for our and senior. No one was selected for any of the company. Not a single company visited the campus selection. Only students were involved in studying nothing else. At that time, no Student of our batch was getting any kind of fund. Yet some of the students have come after clearing the GATE but they were not getting any stipend from the institute or from the government. Yes, of course, there was a placement cell but they only offer placement to the B.Tech Students.

Why you should't be here.

Placements: None of the company related to the core of the stream comes to the college when the campus drive. All the BPO type, salesman type job profile comes for the placements, and offers the package of 8 to 10 thousands which is very degrading to the education of engineering.

Before taking admission, you may like to read this.

Placements: If we talk about the placement cell here, I must say it's moderate. Here in Chhattisgarh, the number of placements the college offers is average considering the fact that the placement cell sits in the first branch of the college only, i.e. S1. Only top 10 scholars of S2 and S3 are allowed to apply for placements and else are rejected from the very first. Also, the highest package varies from 5-7 LPA that's all. If you are lucky enough, you may get a less costly workplace too where your expenses...

Dissatisfied because of female faculty.

Placements: The mechanical engineering students studying in private colleges, rarely get jobs. Even if they get, the salary offered to them is not more than 2 LPA to 2.5 LPA. In this college, some of the first year faculty members are partial to students.

The college has good infrastructure and adorable monuments.

Placements: The campus selection is good, and there is a large number of selections. They offer good job and good companies to the students. A lot of students are selected in the campus selection. I see a lot of students having good jobs, and many are settled abroad. Last year, out of 101 students, 45 are selected for a salary package of 5 LPA.

I am grateful to be in this institute.

Placements: Almost, 70-80% of the students get placed each year. The maximum IT/software companies visit our college like Accenture, TCS, Tech Mahindra. The core companies are attracted by this institute namely L&T, Mechlin, and much more. There is also special preparation classes for the placements, which helps the students to get their dream companies.

A moderate college with less industrial focus.

Placements: Placements are provided with various options in the technical and the non-technical profiles. They have conducted three placements week here. And concluding all the drives will be in the last week of March. About 50 percent of the students are placed in any of the company. But, the non-technical profile availability is more than the technical. They also provide extra classes for the placement preparation here. Co cubes and AMCAT campus drive are also organised here.

I am satisfied with the college, but not fully. Good education is provided but need to improve.

Placements: Placement is average. Most of the IT companies visit the campus for the job, and very few companies come to recruit the core branch students. And the companies offered an average package of 3 LPA. The highest package goes up to 6 LPA, and most of the brand companies still not yet visited the college.

The campus life and the events are not good in this college.

Placements: The placement percentage is around 50%. But, the annual package is not good. The company TCS offers the package about 3LPA. The placement is good for all the branches, but not for the mechanical engineering. The core companies for the mechanical does not come for the placements. The placement for computer science and IT is good.

Shri Shankaracharya Engineering College.

Placements: The campus placement for CS branch students are there, but for other branches, it is less. Many companies offered a BPO roles. In my batch, the placement was quite good, but it's declining after that. Not many core companies are coming. I got selected on an off-campus. The technical companies are not carried for hire. Mechanical engineers also get placed in software companies only.

Satisfactory faculty, placement, infrastructure, and laboratory.

Placements: The placement is not 100 percent. 50% to 70% of the batch only gets placed. The package offered is between 3 lacs to 3.2 lacs per annum. The roles offered differs according to the companies example tester, software analyst. The companies visiting the campus are TCS, Nile stream, and many few startup companies.

I am not satisfied because of some faculty whose aim is not to teach and their behaviour

Placements: The placement for our batch and our seniors batch was the worst because there we don't get core companies. Only BPO companies came. 8-10% of students were placed. The highest offered was 3 LPA and the lowest salary offered was 1.2 LPA. For mechanical, only BPO companies came. Students are not interested in the college campus placements. 10% only.

In C. G. it will be placed in 3rd rank excluding NIT and IIT.

Placements: The placements offered are good in the college, and it's an open campus selection so anyone fro any college might get selected. In Sankara mostly SOC (service-oriented companies) visit for the selection. Most of the common companies like Tech Mahindra, TCS (most common) and Tata. The Amazon and Google selected 2-3 candidates. But out-campus selection not on-campus. The average package offered is only 2.5 lakhs per annum but to be honest, thats is the reality of all the average engineering colleg...

It is a good college to study.

Placements: The placements are average. Do not except much of the placements. If you are good in communication skills, then you can get the job. Less chance for mechanical students for placements. Computer science students have a good chance of placements. Best of luck for your future.

The college is not bad, and you can study here.

Placements: The placement is good. There is about 75% placement in computer science branch, and overall college placement is about 50%. The placement is in good companies like TCS, Wipro, Cognizant come to the college, and take a various number of students. Last year, especially Tech Mahindra took the maximum number of students from our college. The highest package is about 6.65 lakh per annum, and the average package is about 3lakh per annum, and the lowest package is about Rs. 1,80,000.
