Review of Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology.

Placements: Placement for SMVIT is comparatively better than compared to rest colleges of its category for electrical and electronics branch. If you are good at scoring or at least keeping a CGPA of 7 you will get a confirmed placement up to 6 LPA to 7 LPA. Placement percentage for CS, EC lies from 90-100%. For EEE placement is 60-70% and for mechanical it's 50% also mainly goes to IT sectors.

The college had good placements in 2018.

Placements: The training and placement cell of the college is very effectively engaged in developing the students in all needed skills and placing in the top companies. Right from the 4th semester onwards, regular training is conducted on the total personality development of the students. Placement is quite good for CSE, ISE and ECE, and some non-IT companies also visit this college for Biotech, mechanical, etc. The students placed from our course are about 80-90%. Just a place to get a B.E Degree not more than that.

Placements: Placements of this college is quite good, but due to some issues in the IT field during 2017 in Bengaluru, most of the companies didn't recruit what they used to recruit from my college. Some of the top recruiting companies were Accenture, Wipro, L&T, etc. Average package was around 3lpa. The maximum package went up to 16lpa from CSE course. Around 50% of students GOT placed in my course.

Placements: Placements in the last batch were very poor. Almost 20% of the students got placed last year. The highest salary package offered was 7 LPA, the lowest salary package offered was 1.2 LPA, and the average salary package offered 2 LPA. The college does not provide internship to students. There is a placement cell for students, and it is pretty helpful.

It is a bad college in terms of location, infrastructure and placements.

Placements: The college does not provide placements for core branches. Placements in our college are bad. Only for IT sector companies visit our campus for placements. Most of them are mass recruiters and offer the lowest salary package. There was a time when this college had better placement but not now.

Review of Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology.

Placements: I am in the third year, and until now placements for telecom are good after CS. In 2018, the highest salary package was offered to a mechanical student, i.e., 27 LPA, and that was through off-campus. This college has a good reputation in Karnataka just because of its placement, especially because of our reputed placement officer. I would rate 8.1 out of 10 for placements.

Campus recruitment is managed very well by the placement cell. Top MNCs visit our college for the recruitment process. Students have done a great job in the past and are doing well at present.

If you want to join here, make sure that you don't waste your degree.

Placements: Placements in the college are good, but we have to maintain minimum aggregate and should be good at other skills. We should maintain a CGPA of 7 in academics to get placed. The highest salary package offered was 14 LPA. The lowest salary offered was 3 LPA. Reputed companies like Accenture, TCS, visit our college for placements. The placements cell is available in the college, and it is famous when compared to other colleges.
