It's a good college with average placements.
Placements: Placements can be rated 7 out of 10. For placements, 45 out of 60 students got placed in campus placements. TVs, CTS, Wipro, Accenture, L&T Infotech, etc., are the big companies that came for campus placements. Overall, the placements are quite good. From the 7th semester, students get opportunities from various companies organized by the college. The highest package offered is 5 Lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: Every college has bad and good aspects. Our college is no different. It's the first private college in West Bengal. The best part of this college is the faculty. Most of them are friendly with students. They will help you with your progress. Placements are a major concern here. Only the best students get the best placement opportunities. Others just participate in placements. There are many ways to get into this college, like WBJEE, merit base, management quota etc. I took admission in August 2017. The hostel has 24-hours electricity and water facilities. The food is awesome. The hostel is on campus. So, it is easier to access. 24-hours Wi-Fi is available. There are many options for PG and mess outside the campus. The total fee is 60,000 per year. The hostel fee is 30,000.
Faculty: The course curriculum can be rated 8 out of 10. They conduct internal exams on time, and they give us average marks. If you study well, then you'll surely get good marks. The best part of this college is the faculty. Most of them are friendly with students. They will help you with your progress. The teachers are well trained and know in their respective fields. They can clarify our doubts very easily. The HOD of CSE is one of the best teachers I have got. He is very generous and helpful.
Other: Campus life can be rated 8 out of 10. Every year, the college arranges an annual major tech fest and a cultural fest as well. The available number of books in the library is huge. All the classrooms, labs and workshops are filled with required amenities, be it any machine or modern whiteboard. Every year, the management organizes cricket and football tournaments. Few Facebook groups are run by students. Loan and scholarship provisions are available. Fee hikes don't happen randomly. It completely depends on management and the market. The total fee is around 3.2 Lacs. There are many scholarship facilities in college. You can participate there as well. You can talk to management for financial assistance. Many banks are aligned with the college.

SMIT is like my second home and it is a lovely place.
Placements: Many students get placed through our college. Students prefer government job preparations after pursuing the course. Maximum students are placed in companies like TCS, and Wipro. The average salary package offered is 3.6 LPA. People got jobs in the data entry and software section.
Infrastructure: Our college has various modern labs and equipments. We have quality hostel, a gym and other sports and cultural groups and societies.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very friendly. They have a lot of knowledge in their sectors. The computer science department is the most reputed department of our college. The course is well planned and regular basic training occurs on campus. Education excursions happened every semester. We have internal and semester exams. The difficulty of the exam is medium. The pass percentage is more than 90%.
Other: The job opportunity attracts me the most. I think students need more spare time in the course. Cultural programs and fests conducted on campus are awesome.

Review of SMIT - Saroj Mohan Institute of Technology.
Placements: Out of 60 students, a minimum of 20 students got placed until now from our course. The highest salary package offered here was 8 LPA. Many top-rated companies like TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, etc., visit here for placements. But the recruitment is very low this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, in other years, they provided very good placements. But the student coordinator is not helpful at all, and he doesn't do anything and just forwards emails.
Infrastructure: The quality of the food served here is very low. However, other facilities are good like Wi-Fi and labs. Classrooms are very well maintained, and some equipment in the communication lab is outdated. However, the computer lab is well maintained. The bathroom in the lady's hostel is not good.
Faculty: All the computer science faculty members are very helpful, and also they are very highly qualified. HOD is very supportive and will help regarding any topics. But one or two teachers are a little rude. However, if you have patience, then they will also listen to your thoughts.

I have the best college life with good people, helpful teachers and great placements.
Placements: When I passed out from our college, the situation of the software market was not good, so I did not get placed. Some of our friends got placed. Recruiting companies were TCS, CTS, Accenture, etc. Maybe 30-35% of the students got an internship in computer science and engineering.
Infrastructure: The space of our campus is very big. There are 5 hostels, of which 3 for boys and two for girls. Classrooms are quite big, and there are separate buildings for labs and a library. There are two big playgrounds, of which one is for cricket and football, and another is for volleyball and badminton. There is a huge canteen, and the food is served for 24 hours. When I was passed out from this college, people have not used much Wi-Fi.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, very polite and qualified also. They are able to solve a critical problem. Though it is a techno India college, it makes our CV highlighted. The best part is mechanical faculty members are awesome. You can learn proper things from here.
Other: I have chosen this course because I want to become a computer science engineer. Every year a fest happens here for 2 days, and a tech-fest is also conducted.

I have a wonderful experience because of our teachers and campus.
Placements: Around 40% of the students from our course got placed. The highest salary package offered was 9 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course are Intel, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, etc. In our course, top roles are offered in the research and development department. The average salary package offered was 4 LPA. Around 30% of the students got internships from our course.
Infrastructure: The campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Our college has a gym, a unisex canteen, labs for all departments and huge libraries with air-conditioners and biometric machine. The hostel has 4 buildings, and every building is allocated for every year students. They have one football ground and a badminton court. The quality of the food served is very good. The campus has 24x7 ambulance facilities.
Faculty: Teachers here are very helpful, well qualified and much knowledge. Their teaching quality is good, and they all have assistant teachers. The course curriculum makes students conquer if they are capable of it. They make students ready for their respective industry so that they can do performance outstanding.
Other: I have chosen this course because ECE has above-average placements, and the best things about our course are digital machines and micro processing. The new syllabus has already been initiated. Our college organises events like Rabo Kart, PC assembly, quiz, etc., and also organises fest, which is our only best feeling. The campus is crowded. Our college has a Wi-Fi facility and walk-talky. The surrounding is fabulous with lights. DISC Scholarships have been -provided to students who deserve. Our college provides extracurricular activities like blood donation, health checkup camp, clean and green campaign, etc.

SMIT needs to work on its placements. Otherwise, it's a pretty good college.
Placements: Placement scenario of our college isn't that good. Previously, many IT companies visited here, but now gradually, this number has degraded a lot. In the year 2019, the highest salary package offered for CSE students was 3.5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 1.0 LPA. TCS and CTS visit here for placements. Around 40% of the students got placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is neither too bad nor too good. Wi-Fi is available all over the college campus. We have a pretty huge library, and mostly we collect books from there. Classrooms are average. There is a huge ground in college for different types of sports. Our college has it's own canteen, but food quality is average.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are M.Tech qualified, and some are pursuing their PhD. They are very helpful and guide us in doing different projects. Only 2 out of 10 teachers aren't that helpful, but most of them are good enough. Now recently MAKAUT has updated its curriculum, so it's course is now more industry-relevant.
Other: I am pursuing B.Tech in CSE. I like computers and programming, so I have chosen this course. The college conducts 2 fests every year in March-April, which includes a cultural fest and another is tech fest.
