    Q:   Is BBA at Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management a good choice?

    A:
    {Source: BBA students & alumni}

    Based on the feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary of the pros and cons:

    Pros:

    * Good faculty members with M.A. qualifications
    * Relevant and industry-ready course curriculum
    * Well-managed infrastructure, including a huge auditorium and modern amenities
    * Decent canteen services with good food options
    * Opportunities for extracurricular activities, such as MUNs and competitions
    * Friendly staff and teachers who provide guidance and support
    * Convenient location with a bus system

    Cons:

    * Limited focus on placements, with few companies visiting the campus
    * Most students struggle to pass mid-semesters (around 90% failure rate)
    * Strict rules regarding attendance and fines
    * Limited outdoor exposure and practical training
    * No hostel facilities available
    * Unreliable Wi-Fi connectivity
    * Limited sports facilities

    Overall, while the college has some positive aspects, such as good faculty and infrastructure, the lack of focus on placements and limited practical training may hinder the growth of students. Additionally, the strict rules and unreliable Wi-Fi connectivity can be challenging for students.

    For those interested in pursuing an MBA after completing the BBA program, this college may still be a suitable option due to its reputation and academic quality. However, students should carefully consider these factors when making their decision.

    Worth the money and time. Great memories.
    Placements: In Aurobindo College, admission is quite hard, as they only admit students with a percentage of 90 or above, but still, no good companies come for campus placement for bachelor's degrees. However, they do provide good internships during the course, which are worth doing.
    Infrastructure: The campus is a little small but clean and peaceful. It has a good canteen and computer lab. The library is quite spacious. Overall, the infrastructure is beautiful. It also has a basketball court, a big ground, a separate badminton court, and lifts that are being installed on campus.
    Faculty: Teachers are mostly PhDs and, at the same time, they are friendly too. It's under PU, so the exam structure is neutral, and at the same time, they are strict with the MSTs. If you don't appear in an MST, your parents are called for a parent-teacher meeting, and an application is signed for reappearance.
    Other: The crowd is good.

    Our college is a good platform for MBA.
    Placements: College don't provide placements as most of them are uninterested in placements or jobs. No big companies come for placements.
    Infrastructure: Campus infrastructure is good as it is a very small campus with only one ground and two buildings. Campus has library which is non-air-conditioned, one badminton court, one basketball court, two table tennis tables, chess table, one canteen, a computer lab, one huge auditorium which recently built and is top and safe with the largest auditorium. Classes are air-conditioned with efficient ventilation. Canteen provides decent food at affordable prices with good sitting place. College has two seminar halls which is very good place to conduct seminars.
    Faculty: Teachers are M.A. qualified. The subjects thought are fixed and standard. Teachers are friendly. The course is relevant and make the students ready with financial and managements skills required to use in real life. Semester exams and mid sems are standard and you might need extra effort if you are unaware of the subjects being thought. Most students fail in mid semester exams. Around 90% fail in at least one subject.
    Other: I opt for BBA because I needed knowledge of factories and a degree before going for MBA. The best thing is that it is basic financial and management skills that everyone should be aware of. The practical usage should be better and fewer off-brand subjects should be thought of. College has one annual fest and the crowd is good. The best thing about the college is the crowd. College is very far from the city but provides a bus system. College is a little less on extra-curricular it host MUNs and different competitions.

    College with best faculty, good infrastructure, but no placements in 2024.
    Placements: No placements are provided as such in the college, but internships are provided to the students by the company that owns and operates the college, Vardhman Textile. The internship is unpaid, and very few, nearly two students out of 300, will get placement offers from the internships. There are no companies coming from outside to the college.
    Infrastructure: There is no hostel in the college because the students are from the same city and are day scholars. The classrooms are fully equipped with Wi-Fi, smart boards, and ACs. The library is also maintained very nicely. The canteen is available in the college, which provides delicious food to the students.
    Faculty: The teachers are well-qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful, and 90% of them are Ph.D. holders in their field. So, there is no doubt about the faculty's knowledge. However, the course curriculum is not relevant and does not make students industry-ready, because in the first and second semesters, we are only taught subjects we have already done in class 12th and 11th. The semester exams, such as mid-semesters, are very difficult compared to the final exams conducted by Punjab University. According to Punjab University, the passing percentage for the BBA course is 40%, but the college has set it to 50%.
    Other: I chose this course because, compared to B.Com, which is a traditional course, this gives me an edge over B.Com graduates in the management field. I have explored this management field in this course.

    Students in our college always desire to develop their skills and have a bright future.
    Placements: Students with above 85% of marks could get admissions to this prestigious college. Mainly about 60% of the students got internships in main leading companies. The average package offered by companies after the completion of this course is 4-6 LPA. Leadership and team management are the roles offered in this course with different projects.
    Infrastructure: Everything is available except the hostel. The canteen is absolutely well managed, with high-quality food and proper cleanliness. The infrastructure is very good, with proper ventilation. The college also provides counselling as per the student's requirements.
    Faculty: Mainly this college is known for its teaching experience and quality. This course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. Teachers are highly qualified and always helpful to students with the resources they have. I am blessed to be a part of this college.
    Other: I have a keen interest in business administration, and the subjects in it were of my choice. The crowd is amazing, and the college conducts a lot of extracurricular activities.

    It is the best college to study business-related subjects.
    Placements: It is an only undergraduate college, so SACCM doesn't focus on placements. The only purpose of the college is to make students aware of the reality of how things work. Online seminars, physical seminars, debates and other events are conducted to develop different skill sets in the students.
    Infrastructure: Infrastructure is well-developed, and there are well-developed and tech-equipped buildings. It has a state-of-the-art library with updated literature. There are also air-conditioned classrooms, big halls, large auditoriums and well-ventilated infrastructure with more than 3 grounds and a badminton hall. The canteen is big enough to accommodate large gatherings at a time.
    Faculty: Staff members are well-trained and friendly. Faculty members are also the best, highly qualified and hard-working. Teachers not only emphasis the curriculum, but they also help in personal developmental skills. They are very helpful and knowledgeable. Along with theory, various industry visits are organised to give some practical exposure to students.

    Overrated college with best faculty and decent infrastructure .
    Placements: There are no placements offered in the college. At orientation we were shown a chart that only 1 student got package of 5 LPA from the company who owns the college. No paid internships are provided and the unpaid internships which are provided are provided in the company which owns the college, so that's why exposure of the college students is hampered .
    Infrastructure: There is no hostel in the college but overall infrastructure is very good, all facilities are provided here. All facilities like Wi-Fi, badminton, table tennis, canteen, medical facilities, psychologist, basketball and many more facilities are provided.
    Faculty: Best faculty in Ludhiana. 90% of the faculty have done their Masters and PHDs and Masters from a very good and reputed colleges. All the faculty are supportive and pay attention on every student. Teachers also help students to improve in the areas of study in which they are weak.
