Effectiveness of Placement Cell for B.Com Courses at Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management

Based on the feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary of the effectiveness of the placement cell for B.Com courses at Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management:

    * Limited focus on placements: Most students mentioned that the college doesn't prioritize placements, as many students opt for higher education instead.
    * No formal process for placements: Students have to take the initiative to secure internships or jobs themselves, with minimal support from the college.
    * Rare instances of successful placements: Some students reported receiving job offers or internships, but these cases were rare and usually happened when companies came to the college specifically looking for talent.
    * Guidance and placement cell: Although the college claims to have a placement cell, many students felt that it wasn't very effective in supporting their job searches.
    * Opportunities exist, but not utilized: Few students took advantage of the limited placement opportunities available, mainly due to lack of awareness or interest.

Overall, the placement cell at Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management seems to be understaffed and underutilized, leading to limited success in placing students in suitable jobs. While some students managed to secure internships or jobs through individual efforts, the majority relied on self-initiative to pursue their careers.

In the end, I want to say this is the best college one could imagine.
Placements: In one room, there are max. 70 students. The highest and the lowest package depends upon the person and how he modifies his future if a person is going for professional course after B.Com. The average package will be 8 LPA to 10 LPA. There are many top recruiting companies like PWC, Deloitte, etc.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are more than one can think of; there is a Wi-Fi facility available, computer labs are there, and classrooms are so big with 6 air conditioning. And the library is heaven for book readers or people giving competitive exams. There is also a big screen in the library, which students can use to find their book.
Faculty: The faculty of this campus is very helpful. They are just like solutions to your problems. They are highly knowledgeable, and many of the teachers are those who have published their own books. The college take students to industrial visit too for better understanding and more practical life.

    SACCM provides good infrastructure.
Placements: Our college does not provide placements but helps students in getting internships. In holidays, good companies like Octave, Vardhaman, etc., visit our college and recruit students based on their ability. Our college provides great options for choosing companies like Verka Milk Plant, etc.
Infrastructure: Our classrooms are very well-maintained with air conditioners. There are smart boards for teaching and good chairs and tables. Our college does not provide a hostel facility. Our canteen is quite clean and offers tasty and good food with a lot of variety. For sports, there is a badminton court and many other options.

This is the best college for undergraduation.
Placements: During 2021, the college did not provide any job opportunities, but for the latter batch, the college has stated to invite companies for campus placements with an average package of 5 LPA, and the highest package of 8 LPA. Various MNCs come here to offer internships to students. If the companies are satisfied with the work of those candidates, they get pre-placement offers as well.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Classrooms are fully air-conditioned and Wi-Fi enabled. Libraries are equipped with new books. Computer labs have computers with new and advanced technology. The college doesn't offer hostel service for students, but students can get a PG or hostel nearby campus.
Faculty: All teachers are very helpful and are professionally trained to teach students. They have to undergo regular seminars to be up to date. The college arranges industry visits to embed practical knowledge and experience in students. All semester exams are designed in a way to prepare students for final exams. Students can easily gain 33% to pass the exams.
Other: I opted for this course as I have had a keen interest in management since childhood, and this course offers the whole package of knowledge regarding the same. I believe that this college is the best for cultural events, campus crowd, and extracurricular activities.

Our college doesn't provide expected placements.
Placements: Placement opportunities are very less. Focus is only on getting marks, they don't encourage co-curricular activities.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi doesn't work properly. They don't have any medical facilities or dispensary. They don't even keep sanitary pads. Canteen is clean but has a limited menu. Library is fine but you won't find your semester books.
Faculty: Teachers are good. Most of them are pursuing Ph.D. A lot of attention is given to studies. They expect their students to be university rank holders.

It is the best commerce college in Ludhiana.
Placements: SACCM is a graduate-level college and offers limited placements. College and alumni provide job offers to students, who can avail them per the specifications. The average salary package varies between Rs 15,000 per month to Rs 40,000 per month or above depending on job roles.
Infrastructure: Our college provides excellent infrastructure, including a whiteboard, projector, smart classes, etc. The seating facility was abundant for 60-70 students per class. There were air-conditioner for summers to keep classrooms cool. The workshops were held in AV rooms for all students. It provides new auditorium built for events and activities. The hostel facilities were not known but they were present. There was a sports rooms, basketball court, etc. An atrium, a computer laboratory, etc., were also available.
Faculty: The teaching quality was the best in this college. The professors were highly helpful, proficient, and encouraging. They teach through real-life experiences more than books. Our college follows the curriculum prescribed by Punjab University. It touches upon the aspects required in real-life. The semester exams were easy. It depends on how well a student read. Most questions had been discussed in classes and followed this university pattern. The pass percentage was 85-90%.
Other: I chose B.Com honors as a stepping point for my career. Students can go in different directions and also specialize in a specific aspect through the honors degree. The honors degree also provides other benefits. The course can be improved by revising the curriculum and adding the newest topics. Moreover, offering internships or providing more opportunities of experiencing different careers will be helpful in this college.
