Best college for graduation and enjoying your college life with a very big campus.

Placements: None of the B.Com students get placements due to limited opportunities, and the college doesn’t provide internships. However, the teachers are helpful, guiding us to gain skills and pursue internships, both online and offline. After graduation, many students opt for an MBA, which opens doors to top companies with attractive packages.

I am satisfied with this college in all aspects.

Placements: Almost 50% of students got placed in our course. The highest salary offered is Rs. 40,000 per month. The average salary offered is Rs. 25,000 per month. The lowest salary offered is Rs. 12,000 per month. Intel, Microsoft, etc., visit our college. Almost 40% of students got internships. Top roles offered are web designing teacher, etc.

Dissatisfied because of the faculty .

Placements: There are a lot of students in our course but we have not gotten any internship yet from any companies, so there was also no talk about the packages given by the company. I also cannot say anything about top roles offered in our course.

I do not recommend students to join this college.

Placements: Placements are rarely provided in our college. Our seniors didn't get placements. Internships are not provided to the students but they can do on themselves.

It is a decent college with average facilities but many things could be improved.

Placements: I haven't graduated yet. This college has a decent placement history with companies like Infosys. You could land a job as a front-end web developer, back-end web developer or software developer. You get to learn the basics required to get into any job related to the IT department.

Average college with average infrastructure .

Placements: Average placements with mediocre packages. Low internship rates and recruiting companies were almost non existent. Don't really know about the average package but must be lower the 15000 pm I guess. Unlikely to get campus placements for my course hence not satisfied.

Excellent sports facility with an extremely peacefully environment makes this college heaven.

Placements: This college placement is average. The highest package is 8 lack and the lowest 4 lack. HCL, Java, Marketing companies more come every year and hire job fest. Internship is not available in this college but so many events organised that get certificate.

It is the best college in Chandigarh.

Placements: Our college provides very bad placements. None of the companies visited the campus for placements. Not even a single student has got placed from college. In terms of placements, it is a very bad college. Neither of our seniors and super seniors got placed from college.

I am dissatisfied regarding placements.

Placements: Placements in our college were not that good for B.Sc. students. There were very limited jobs offered to science graduates. The average salary offered was ranged between Rs. 15,000-20,000 per month. TCS was one of the companies to visit the campus for placements. The college had a placement cell, but it was not very active. Overall I am pretty disappointed with the placements.

Partially satisfied with the highly qualified teaching staff, average placements and facilities.

Placements: Placements of the batches were quite less impressive compared to other colleges in the city. Almost 70% of the students got placed in the year 2018. The highest salary package offered to students was 4 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 1.2 LPA, and the average salary package offered was 2 LPA. Companies like ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Kotak Mahindra, etc., visited the campus for placements. Roles offered to the students were a financial assistant, advisory etc.

The college is not much good for higher studies, and students can't get good exposure.

Placements: The placements in our college were very bad. The companies don't even offer internships. Our seniors didn't get any placement. No roles were offered. The internship was not available during my tenure. The college doesn't have a placement cell, and its presence is very important for our placements and internships.

I have received average exposure from the faculty, and the course is helpful for my future plans.

Placements: The placement is a big issue in the college. The placements for B.Com students are very bad. Very few people got placed in my batch. No internship is provided for B.Com students, but it should be provided for the upcoming batches for better exposure to the real world. The college has a placement cell, but it is not much active. The average package offered to the B.Com students was Rs. 10,000-15,000 during my tenure which is not good enough, and that's why I have decided to pursue PG.

Dissatisfied experience because of lack of facilities.

Placements: The placements of the college were not good at all. Very few companies visited the college for placements for the courses like B.Com. The highest package offered to the students was 3 Lacs per annum which was not sufficient at all. As I am a sports student, I also don't have more knowledge about it.

Really helpful and experienced faculty.

Placements: Here the placements were not that good. A few companies came for selection of students, and these include BPOs, etc. The average salary offered was Rs. 1,20,000 per annum. Marketing, sales and data processing jobs were offered. There were no internships offered under this course. There is a placement cell in the college.

Satisfied with the college.

Placements: The college lacks in terms of placements. As an institution is judged by its placements, the college should make the best possible efforts towards this. SGGS somewhats lacks behind in this department. They should call more companies for placements. Also, they should talk with their students regarding this. They can encourage students to help the management.

Placements: There are very less placement camps organized and only a few of them got placed at 10%. The highest salary offered is 4 lacs per annum and the lowest is 2 lacs per annum. Very few companies visited the campus and the roles offered are testing, sales, etc. Only 5% students get an internship from the college. The highest stipend is 15,000 per month and the lowest stipend is 7,000 per month.

Sri Guru Gobind Singh College is a decent college to be a part of. The selection process is centralised and a counselling process is conducted for selection in Bachelors of Commerce for all the colleges in Chandigarh. The selection process is harsh on students who have done their 12th from any place other than Chandigarh. The quota for locals is 85 percent, whereas for outsiders it is 15 percent only. The major drawback of this is that a student who is an outsider and has scored a 90 % in class ...

Well my college is fine for the studies, that's all I can say. My college campus is very big with green trees rounded. Staff is worse, if you go to them, they don’t care about the concern which a student may have. I think there should be necessary actions needs to be taken for that.

I am satisfied with the college life.

Placements: No placements were provided for the pass-out year, even our seniors did not get placed. Companies don't visit the campus. Even if some roles were offered they were as for telly performance which a person can get after completing his 12th. Internships were also not provided by our college.
