Sri Ramachandra Faculty of Engineering and Technology Placements 2020: Process, Offers, Internships, Top Companies

Sri Ramachandra Engineering & Technology Chennai placements season begins in the month of July and concludes at end of the respective academic year. Final placements are in on-campus/ off-campus/ pool-campus modes and based on students’ performance during their internship tenure.

Students of SRET Chennai are required to meet the eligibility criteria set by the Institute to participate in SRET Chennai placements drive. As per the basic criteria, holding 60 per cent aggregate in Class 10, Class 12 and UG/ PG) is mandatory to opt for placements. The Institute has divided SRET Chennai placement offers under three different categories, which are as follows:

Students selected in dream-company will not be allowed to participate any further campus interviews with the exception of ‘Super Dream’ & ‘International’ opportunities subject to Placement norms. Results will be declared on the same day by most of the companies, but few companies might announce the results later

SRET Chennai Placements Process

Students must meet the eligibility criteria to participate in the SRET Chennai placement. The criteria is shared below

• At least 60% aggregate throughout (Class 10, Class 12, UG/ PG)
• No standing arrears
• Students with Standing Arrears (Maximum-2) will be only considered as per the company-norms
• Students opting for placements will be given Letter of Recommendation (LOR) for higher studies except the students getting placed in core/ dream companies

Some of the major key responsibilities handled by the placements team are mentioned below:

• Maintaining strong relationship with the Industries and invite them for placements drives, internships, etc.
• Updating database, job profile, recruitment pattern of the companies on a regular basis
• Preparing list of final year eligible students database
• Participating in industrial exhibitions, fairs, seminars to promote useful interaction with the industries
• Coordination with alumni office

Documents required on the day of campus placements:

• College ID card
• Three sets of updated resume, copies of mark sheets and other certification (if any)
• Two recent passport-size photographs

SRET Chennai Summer Placements 2020

The selection process during SRET Chennai summer placements is as same as followed for final placements. It is mandatory for the selected students to join the assigned organisation as per the norms. However, final placements are based on the performance during the internship tenure.

Students, who are selected to undergo an internship are only allowed to opt for full time placements process. Additionally, internship-cum placement is not allowed for full time placement.
