As I'm a former student, I'll never recommend this college to students who expect more in a college.
Placements: In our course, the placements are very much low compared to other courses. It may be below 10% because it's a government-aided course. Placements are not conducted here. Some students, or comparatively less than 10% of the students, have joined in this college only as assistant professors.
Infrastructure: In our course, there are two huge classrooms for first and second-year students. The third-year classroom is somewhat small compared to the other two classrooms. There is a language lab, which is used to visualise some important topics and some English movies to improve the students' vocabulary. There is a common library for the entire college, and every student can spend time there reading books and newspapers. The hostel is good and tidy where there are 3 huge separate blocks for students of every year of the course. The only best thing here is the food which is best in class, and they provide high class tasty and healthy food. Everyday morning and mostly in the evening, students participate in sports and games for about just 2 hours. After 6 pm, they should enter the hostel and make themselves ready for some religious activities like attending the prayer for about half an hour which is the most boring part for the latest generation students. Mobile phones are also not allowed inside the hostel, which is the most annoying thing in this modern world.
Faculty: The teachers here are well qualified and knowledgeable. Most of them completed M.Phil and pursuing their PhD. They train students well and in a very fun manner. As it is a boys college, teachers interact freely with students like their friends, and they only recommend us to call them brother instead of sir. The process of ranking and providing marks is very annoying and bored as they always conduct tests. Students have to attend 3 tests compulsorily for just 25 marks of internals, and out of 25 marks, they also include marks for attendance. If any student misses any of the tests, the chance of passing in internal exams is very low, which is the worst thing. They only want students to pass the exams, and there is no more than that. This may be the worst thing among all things. So, I suggest that if you want to join here, you have to ready for that.
Other: I didn't even like this college, and my parents forced me to join here. So because of that, I didn't even like to study. When my parents asked me which course I want to choose, I don't know what to study, and even I don't have an interest in studying in this college. In my 12th standard, I scored good marks in English, so my parents recommended me to join English. So, I joined without knowing about it. I think our college should change the system of providing marks. It is the only course in the entire college in which none of the students could get 100% marks here. The maximum marks or percentage obtained by best-in-class students is 75%. This is the very worst course, and I will never ever recommend this course to anyone in this particular college. Many events and fests will be conducted in every academic year, and they would be somewhat related to all religions in this college. In our course, some events are organised very rarely. The campus surroundings will be very neat and tidy as there are workers to make sure that the campus is clean and checked in every particular hour. As it is a government-aided college, there are scholarships for every year and for all the students based on their castes. There are three separate courses like sports, NCC and NSS. Students have to compulsory join in any one of the activities and have to write a test in the fourth semester in order to pass the degree. Every year students who perform best in that test will get selected and honored on a grand stage where all the faculty members and students gather. The graduation day is celebrated differently as a religious aspect, and all the students should participate even before they complete their graduation. Our college doesn't provide coats or caps on graduation day as celebrated in other colleges, which is another worst part of this college. There will be strict rules and regulations like in school, and we get a feeling like we are still studying in a school.
