Review of Sri Taralabalu Jagadguru Institute of Technology
Placements: Only 10 to 15% of students were placed in this course. Average package offered in our college is around 3 lpa. 5% of students got internship from companies. Non technical roles are offered in this course.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is very poor because they don't provide any Wi-Fi facility for student. Labs are good with proper instruments. Classrooms are also clean and good. Library is also good and contains lots of books with different authors.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and they teach very nicely. Teachers have knowledge in their subject. The quality of the teaching is very good. Course Curriculum is relevant for the industry. The semester exams in our college are very difficult and pass percentage is 40%.
Other: I want to build my career in software field with good placement opportunities.

I was satisfied with faculty members but not with their placements.
Placements: There were no placements because we passed out during COVID-19. Our college had banners of companies like TCS and Byju's but no company came for placements for mechanical engineering. Many companies came for placements only for computer science and other branches.
Infrastructure: Our college had a library which was good and the canteen was average. In the hostel, the mess was not good. The food served in the mess was horrible. Wi-Fi was not available during the time of exams. There was no proper supply of electricity. Overall, I was satisfied because the support was good.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were co-operative and the best. They support you morally. They don't make students industry-ready. They only train students but never make them company-ready that was the major problem that everyone faced. When we join a college, we think that we will get placed but it's our myth.
Other: I chose mechanical engineering because it was a trend in India. Everyone said mechanical engineers would get 100% jobs so I chose mechanical engineering.

College is budget friendly.
Placements: Some of the students got above 75 percent marks; they have been placed by many companies and they are hired for 6 lacs per year. Companies like Infosys, Mahindra, and some of the other software companies will arrive. Our college was in the top one in Karnataka when there was better infrastructure and facilities at other colleges, making our college very low. An average package of 3.5 per year is provided for the student; internships are very important, and based on what you learned about the course and the above software or hardware, they will choose whether to hire you or not .
Infrastructure: Our college's infrastructure is from the 1990s; it's been built below 42 years; it's very large; it has been built on an area of 53 acres of land; there is a hostel facility for girls and boys; there is a greenery and field; there is a seminar hall with branch-wise toilets; there is a girls waiting room; there are labs for experiments; in the mechanical department, there is a huge number of equipment to study; there are no students in the mechanical department .
Faculty: Faculty are good teaching and experienced faculty's; they will explain multiple times when we ask them to repeat the topic; they express the teaching level to a very high level of knowledge; and whatever helps a student, they will know where you are suitable for the work.
Other: Why I chose engineering is because I did not have any other options to join other courses. Engineering is suitable for those who believe it's a passion for them; simply reading to pass the exam does not bring happiness to your course; make it a passion and definitely it will impact your life in a good way.

I am absolutely dissatisfied with the teaching, facilities, and faculty of our college.
Placements: About 10% of students in our college got placed. The highest salary package offered was 2.5 LPA, the lowest salary package offered was 1.2 LPA, and the average salary package offered was 1.5 LPA. Wipro, Qspiders, and TCS were the top recruiting companies. About 100% of students got internships in Bangalore such as Sky lark andSobha. The top roles offered were structural engineer, project manager, and quality control engineer.
Infrastructure: In our college, Wi-Fi was not connected. The labs were in average standard facilities. The classroom was very clean and clear with proper light and air. The library was most famous in our college because it was spacious and had a peaceful environment with lots of books available.
Faculty: Teachers were very poor at teaching on campus. Only the assistant professors were teaching us very well. Others were very poor at teaching. We could not connect with them. The curriculum didn't make students industry-ready. Semester exams are very difficult because two to three subjects were not taught in the syllabus.
Other: My intention was in civil engineering. There were interesting things and more creative thoughts.

Good college with the worst management.
Placements: Ten students out of 120 were placed in one Chennai based company, with the salary of 8000 rupees per month for that students need to work for 12 hours per day. 16% of students got internship from Mechanical department in a manufacturing industry for a month duration.
Infrastructure: The institute is having a huge land but with low maintenance. The campus is having Wi-Fi facility, and the labs, classrooms, library are good and maintained. The hostel for girls and boys are inside the campus. Boys hostel can accommodate 432 students and girls hostel can 200. the girls hostel is having a new building where as boys hostel is a old building with low maintenance.
Faculty: The teaching quality is good with qualified faculty members but management is not concerned with the knowledge of the teaching faculty members. The course curriculum is relevant but it doesn't make the students industry ready. It can provide basic knowledge of the course.
Other: My suggestion for management is to encourage the faculty members, and the talent of the students also.

Good college compared to the other colleges.
Placements: The placements have improved when compared to the last year as the principal has changed in the last year. Most of the good companies like HGS, NTT DATA have been coming to our college for the placements. The highest package was Rs. 22000 per month and the lowest was Rs. 8000. Still, more companies have to come to our college for the placements, as our college is in a remote area.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is not well-structured as compared to the other colleges nearby in Davanagere like BIET, UBDT and other good colleges. There is no auditorium to conduct programs or any other functions in the college, which is terrible for an engineering college.
Faculty: The faculty of our college are good and friendly compared to the other colleges. All the faculty are very much friendly to the students, which is a good thing in college. There are no fights or tensions in the college. All the streams have been doing the work sincerely, according to the target.
