B.A. in Hindi and History - Batch of 2027

I am satisfied with my studies and well-confident of a good life ahead.
Placements: Sri Venkateswara College (SVC) in New Delhi, India has a good placements record. Many students get placed in top companies. The college placement cell is considered helpful and well-structured. The highest salary package offered in 2022 was 21.50 LPA. The average salary package offered to students ranges from 4-8 LPA. Deloitte, KPMG, PwC, DE Shaw, Accenture, Bajaj Capital, Teach for India, Cry, and Decathlon are some of the main companies that visit the college for placements.
Infrastructure: The overall infrastructure is good but the main problem with it is with the hostel facility. Only a few seats are available there, i.e., only 1 or 2 seats for each course. Many students outside of Delhi mostly those who are familiar with the circumstances find it difficult to accommodate.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified in our course. They are very helpful to students. They support as well as encourage students to reduce their deficiencies. Students can get along well with them and like the way of their teaching method. Semester-wise exams are easy to clear and students can get good marks also.
Other: The crowd of the campus is so much. Students will enjoy the company of other students not only of your batch but of other courses and seniors as well. We can spend our time in the canteen, rock garden, playground or library.

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) - Batch of 2027

We get all types of exposure in this college. We will never regret it after getting admission here.
Placements: Sri Venkateswara College, University of Delhi is one of the most prestigious colleges. Approximately 30-40% of students got placements out of which 5-10% of students could get placed in top companies like Deloitte, KPMG, etc. The highest salary package offered is 19 LPA, and the average salary package offered ranges from 4-5 LPA. The same happens with internships. In B.Com courses, the percentage of placements is comparatively higher than in other courses.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. It provides libraries, computer labs, auditoriums, etc. We have an open space canteen and the food is nice especially masala dosa. The canteen staff maintain hygiene. Our college promotes all sports. Medical facilities are appropriate.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and approachable. They are well-qualified to clear all our doubts. We get all the knowledge of the corporate world. As far as exams are concerned, they are moderate if students study before 1 month of exams they can pass easily. The pass percentage is 33%.
Other: Venkateswara College is one of the best colleges. Seniors are helpful. The crowd is nice. It provides opportunities for extracurricular activities and big companies for internships. I like the food in our canteen.

B.Sc. (Hons.) in Chemistry - Batch of 2026

Academic Excellence and Beyond: Exploring Venky College.
Placements: I haven't heard much about placements since we are in our freshman year but, according to the graduates who have already passed out, introduced to us by the professors, Chemistry has a wide range of applicability and can work in any field. From my observations, recruitment from companies is on a very small scale. Coming to internships, almost 80% of my batch participated in the internship fair out of which almost got a letter of word from different companies. But due to long hours of work and unfavorable timings, most of them drop the internship offers. As I have mentioned, Chemistry has a wide range of applicability and a student can opt to pursue a Ph.D. or MBA. The advantage of pursuing an MBA is that a person learns to manage business with the companies and also pursues his/her Science interest. If a student is more clear on pure Science, it is recommended to pursue a doctorate degree.
Infrastructure: Most of the books are available in the library for B.Sc. Chemistry though some books are in limited amount. The infrastructure of the Chemistry department is average though it would be much appreciated for the authorities to install ACs in classrooms to tolerate this scorching heat. Sports and games are available if one wants to participate in them.
Faculty: The teaching faculty members are good although lacking at some corners but I personally feel it is up to the students to fill the gaps that their teacher leaves behind. The teachers are highly qualified and they know what they are doing. The semester exams were just average, of course if you study, it's at a pretty average level, nothing like rocket Science questions are asked in freshmen years though the review might change in the succeeding years. The pass percentage is about 90%.
Other: The pure interest in Chemistry brought me out here in this burning city to pursue Bachelor's. I was never good in Chemistry which engraved curiosity corners in my mind. I would say the best thing about this course was the professors that made me change the perspective of teacher-student relationship and my batchmates who had a helpful mindset in every instance.

PG Diploma in Bio-Chemical Technology - Batch of 2025

Student college life in SVC DU.
Placements: 20 students are in my batch of PG Diploma courses, around which now only 10 students are left in this course; the rest of them got admission in other courses and not preferred this course due to some personal reasons. The highest package offered in my course will be around 2 Lacs and some internship were offered in previous batch to some students. Top recruiting companies are Genpact, Deloitte, and ZS. Around 40 percent of students got internships in good companies, and the roles offered are assistant scientist, junior research fellowship, etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities for my course are a separate lab with good and functional instruments like spectrophotometers, uv spectrophotometers, laminar hoods, and autoclave machines, and the infrastructure is almost good with lift-supported buildings, smartboards, and projects in almost all classrooms and labs. Separate lab for other courses students like biochemistry, Zoology, botany, physics, chemistry, etc. Wi-Fi is also on the campus with a good internet connection, and the metro is just 100 meters away from the college. Separate court for basketball, tennis, and badminton, and also an auditorium, which is very big. Separate hostel for both boys and girls. The canteen and food are good.
Faculty: Exams are semester-based and include theory and practical. Some teachers are very helpful, experienced, and have a lot of knowledge, which makes me interested in my course. Teaching is the best good point for this college. The course curriculum has good separate time for practical and theory classes. Not so much difficult for the semester exam; just attend the class and understand the topic in the lecture and just do self-study, and pyqs, which are available in the library, are more than enough to score good marks in the exams.
Other: I chose this course because I didn't get admission in M.Sc., so I don't want to waste my year and also to gain experience because this course is very related to my Bachelor course. The best thing about this course is the subject that is offered, i.e., immunology, DNA technology, and biophysical techniques. All three subjects are so interesting and related to each other. The things I experienced in this course and I suggest to be better are first the timetable is so hectic, and some time the preparatory leave in between the exams and the syllabus is so lengthy for practical. Many events of different societies were organised in the college, and Fest is the best part of this college as compared to other D.U. colleges. Metro and bus connectivity is easily available and not so far from the college. The campus surrounding is good, like the rock garden. Scholarships are available for various students, and information for this is also available on the college website.

College is excellent in everything.
Placements: In Sri Venkateswara College, placements are average, and it is measured by the course. Other courses have more opportunities to get placements in the science field, but the competition level is too high, so a maximum of 2 or 3 students get selected in one batch.
Infrastructure: All the facilities are available for students like Wi-Fi. For sports, our college has its own ground. It has 4 cricket practice nets, basketball, table tennis and many other games grounds. Hostels are good, and the food quality is good. The college has a library with many collections of books.
Faculty: Faculty members are very talented. They have more knowledge. They help in every situation and try their best for students understanding. The semester exam level is not too hard but the level is above medium, so every student gets good marks.
Other: When I took my CUET exam and got marks it was not for the North campus but the South campus, which is too good. I chose this course because I want to go into civil services. Many fests and celebrations happen in college. A scholarship scheme is available under BPL for students who are not able to pay fees and whose parents' yearly salary is less than 3 lakhs.

B.Sc. (Hons.) in Biological Sciences - Batch of 2024
3.2

Venky is the topmost college from South Campus and better than some colleges in North Campus too.
Placements: For science courses, placements are not available. Opportunities exist mainly for commerce students, so as science students, we are not provided with work opportunities after graduation; instead, we must pursue post-graduation or other options based on our interests.
Infrastructure: The labs do not have up-to-date equipment; they are very old and do not function properly. The classrooms are quite small with poor ventilation. However, the library is good and large, containing all the prescribed books in their latest editions. The canteen is overpriced, and the food is not satisfactory.
Faculty: The faculty members are highly qualified and teach us well, using real-time examples. They also provide career guidance. The curriculum is good, as it covers most of the entrance exam syllabus, and practicals are held regularly. The mid-sem exams are a bit tough, but the semester-end exams are easier.
Other: The college infrastructure is decent, with a well-maintained sports ground, although the sports equipment is old and limited in quantity. The crowd is decent, and the environment feels safe. Multiple fests are organized by various societies apart from Nexus, which are equally enjoyable.
