Review of St. Francis College for Women.
Placements: The pandemic has refrained me from getting any from teachers. Our seniors are very happy with the placements cell. Most of them get placed into companies matching their caliber. Teachers are very supportive of their choices. The top recruiting companies are Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Wipro, Infosys, and many great ones that visit our campus to hire students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is excellent. There are many places for students to just relax. The classrooms are well ventilated with boards and place enough for an entire class to fit in. The college library has books, journals, and materials for every course. One can even relax with a novel sometimes. There are no restrictions on entry. Students are not allowed to use the college Wi-Fi. There are well-equipped laboratories where the science students have their classes all the time. They seldom go to a class and sit down to take notes. Laboratories are where their classes mostly take place. Francis does not have a hostel accommodation of its own, nevertheless, students can join any hostel around the college. The canteen is open all the time. But I would recommend home food.
Faculty: Because of the pandemic, students could not physically attend classes. However, the online classes are no less good. The teachers are great. They are very open and student-friendly. Our course combination i.e mass communication, literature, and social management are unique, and one might think that the teaching faculty might be improper, but the knowledge they have and their determination to teach students is commendable. Most of the teachers provide notes, and exams are not a problem. One can pass easily if they study and listen to classes.
Other: I opted for this MS course, because I love literature and writing. Francis is all about events and opportunities. Students can be themselves without getting judged. Students have sports, NCC and NSS. Each of them offers good leadership roles and responsibilities. Students can grow as a human with this college.

College information. The college is good for personality development and people can select it.
Placements: The placements were fairly good. Not everyone were properly placed. Some courses did not get any proper company for themselves. The B.A. mass comm people did not get many opportunity to be selected in placements. The offices mainly come for B.Com and BMS. Not everyone gets chance.
Infrastructure: Very good. The building is huge. But still does not have enough classes. Some classes are way to small. The overall infrastructure is good. There are bathrooms which are always clean. The canteen is way far from reach. It makes it difficult to go there.
Faculty: The faculty some teachers teach very well. Some teachers does't even come to class. The teachers give good projects for overall practical learning. The marks are not given easily. You have to work a lot to get good marks. The greatest issue is with the attendance though.
Other: There are a lot of fests that are conducted. Overall personality development is good.

St. Francis College for Women.
Placements: The placements at the college helped me a lot and I'm very happily placed in an Ad agency which is what I wanted to start my career with. There is a massive change in the placements this year compared to last year. The college is a placement hub for various MNC's also.
Infrastructure: The college is well-equipped with all kinds of infrastructure including separate labs for each subject, Wi-Fi, digitally equipped classrooms, indoor sports stadium, health centre, parking space, canteen, auditorium and halls for conducting events and lectures.
Faculty: The teachers are well qualified and knowledgeable and tried their best to equip the students with multidimensional approaches. Industrial and practical were the main areas. The curriculum is crafted with utmost deligience. There are study tours and field visits.
Other: The college is also a hub for various intercollegiate events at small and large scales. The heart of the college motto is to provide holistic education and this is supported with extra curricular activities. The college is also situated in the heart of the city that makes the connectivity better.

I absolutely recommend Francis to others.
Placements: The placements in the college are really good. We have companies like Regalix, Paperboat, DE Shaw, Deloitte coming to the college, but placements for media-related fields are too less, and there are good placements for the science stream as well though there aren't any newspapers or news channels coming for placements.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is student friendly. The classrooms are well-equipped with computers, internet connection, a projector and a screen. There are 2 separate buildings for UG and PG. There are enough DSLR cameras for mass communication and photography students to learn photography and videography. The canteen food is manageable, and I personally don't like it.
Faculty: The faculty members are qualified and helpful in this college. Mass communication faculty gives a lot of practical assignments that help us understand the subject over and above the theory. Literature classes help you develop an entirely new perspective on society, social issues etc. The college is autonomous, and hence the curriculum is designed by the faculty members of this college. The syllabus is reviewed and revised and seen that it makes sense in the present scenario as well. For e.g. In international relations, we have even discussed the Brexit which is a very recent happening. A lot of guest lectures are also organised in this college. There are no mandatory internships which mean zero industry exposure until you take the initiative.
Other: Francis gives equal importance to extracurricular activities. There are 7 clubs in college, and each club has its own fest which means a lot of exposure. There is a bus, metro, local connectivity of transportation available to reach college. There is a good crowd at Francis. Girls are helpful and supportive of each other in this college.
