Overall, the college is average and the hostel is the worst.

Placements: The placement opportunities are not as wide as required. The highest salary package offered was 8.5 LPA for a non-IT company and 6.75 LPA for an IT company. The top recruiters were TCS, Cognizant, and Capgemini. The internship percentage was again less. Almost 50% of students got internships. The top role offered is programmer analyst.

The college has good infrastructure and facilities and average placements.

Placements: Around 50% of my batchmates from my branch were placed successfully through campus placements. The highest package offered was around 12 LPA, and the lowest was around 2.4 LPA. The average package offered was 3.5-4 LPA. Top recruiting companies include TCS, Capgemini, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Accenture, Wipro etc. Internships are provided to students who got placed in their respective companies. The top roles offered were that of software engineer trainee. Scope for placements in core com...

The infrastructure is below average, and placements are average. Faculty members are really good.

Placements: About 60% of the students were placed from the information technology branch. The average salary package offered was 3 LPA. From the information technology branch, Most of the students do company-based internships as well as projects. About 10%-15% of the students do in-house projects.

The environment of the college was disciplined.

Placements: Companies like Nice Software Solutions, Tech Mahindra, Infocpets and Face, etc., visited our campus for placements drive. There was quite a strong possibility that you would get a chance to sit for interviews for these companies as they have been coming to our college since quite a few years now. Apart from that, a lot of open placement opportunities were provided if you don't get placed in the companies that visit our college.

Good infrastructure. Quality of education was okay, but the management is very strict.

Placements: Placements for the students of the mechanical branch were poor. A very few students got placed from our branch, but they got placed in an IT company. The average salary package offered was about 2.5 LPA to 3 LPA. Companies like Tech Mahindra, Triveni Turbine, Jacobs and Asahi, etc., visited our campus for placements drive. Students got internships on our own. The college permits the students to do the internship only for 15 to 20 days.

A good college which is affiliated to a very bad university.

Placements: During my tenure, there were hardly any on-campus placements for the mechanical branch as far as I remember. Even some IT companies had refused mechanical students from attending the placement process. Most of the students attended off-campus placements, and most of them have gone for doing their post-graduation.

Absolutely dissatisfied as of placements and strict rules which meant nothing.

Placements: The placements in the college are very bad in the view of good technology companies, but for non-technical companies, it's not that bad. The technical and big ones don't visit the college for the placements. They welcome more companies which are non-technical, BPO, marketing, etc., but in engineering college that doesn't work.

Good it terms of discipline and strictness, good in academics, poor placement.

Placements: Currently, the placement scenario is not that much good as compared to the other colleges, i.e. VINIT, RCOEM, YCCE. Another reason for the poor placement is lack of core recruiters in Nagpur region. But the T&P department of the college is trying very hard to make a connection with various companies, and in future, it is expected that the placement scenario will be good. Presently, the placement percentage is approximately 30%, and the average package is 3 LPA. Almost 90% of the students go for ...

The college has a great infrastructure, good faculty and a student friendly atmosphere,

Placements: The placements haven't really been much fruitful to the students as most of them are being placed out of the campus selections (off-campus). Yet a few good companies have landed and selected some of the students from the Electronics and computer science branches. But, the mechanical branch doesn't have many placements.

Decent college with good infrastructure and lack of vision

Placements: Placements for the computer batch were very limited. The expectations of the industry and the curriculum taught almost never matches. Limited companies like Tech M, L&T, Persistent came in. All the students did not get placed. The placements scenario is worse for other branches.

Not so good but better than many others in the city.

Placements: Placements are really poor to almost negligible. Only a few IT students get placed. You have to search for a job yourself and core companies do not come to the campus along with an inefficient training and placement department. The college does not follow the internship policy. Students who get placed i.e. IT and computers, get on an average a package of 3 LPA.

An over disciplined college but okay.

Placements: The placements are not up to the mark for the core fields like mechanical engineering and electrical engineering as opposed to good placements for non-core branches. IT companies do visit SVPCET for campus placements. Placements get affected due the city background of a non-metro city. Very few companies do placements from SVPCET.

Cuts the wings of students making them horses that pull a cart with eyes blinded on the side.

Placements: The placement percentage is almost 0.05% i.e. negligible. In the college brochure, they say that they have 100% placements but that is all a hoax. Only a few get placed that too in IT companies. The T&P department does not bring any core companies. The students have to look for a job themselves. The worst part about the internship is that the college allows the student to go to the internship but he may not get any attendance not even 50% making the student to go in detention as he has to score ...

College is good and progressing in terms of education. Hope for better placements in core branches.

Placements: Very good placements for CS, IT and ETC branches only. Whereas placements for the mechanical and electrical branch are not up to the mark due to slackness in the market. The college pays attention towards placements in the IT sector only. Before commencing the final year, aptitude classes are conducted and exams are also taken. The college is positive towards placements and placements are improving year by year.

Check before you take admission.

Placements: Placements are not very good in the college even though the prospectus shows a good list of companies. Tech Mahindra, Persistent and WeLead came to the college. The students were given some off-campus opportunities like TCS, Xoriant and Zensar but the number of students placed was an issue. The highest placement was 10 lakhs in the Indian army (credit to the student, the college didn't do anything except giving attendance) and the lowest placement was 1.2 lacs at WeLead and a fairly good placem...

Very strict college. Regular classes are conducted. No skipping of classes is allowed.

Placements: There are very low placements. Only 1 got placed from a class of 75. The salary is 3 lakhs per annum, so the placement is low. Core companies which come to the college are very few. Also, the selection is very less among them. The course is not up to the level of the industry. Very few get a chance to sit for interviews as per the selection criteria.

The college is very strict and mainly emphasizes on studies. No extracurricular activities are entertained. This college is all about rules and regulations. Placements are good for IT and CE. College is fully equipped with all types of labs. In SVPCET, there is nothing for free. You have to earn your internals through tests. Canteen facility and mess facility is bad.

SVPCET, is an Engineering colleges which is based on disciplined college tutoring. The professors tend to preach teaching which is more pedantic than practical. The only reason people tend to send their children to this college is discipline. Discipline definitely helps you in the future, but the college lacks research oriented teachings. If you want to study and clear your exams without any external help (tuitions), this is the best place. But if you're looking for a more research oriented coll...
