Q:   What is the effectiveness of the placement cell for B.Com programs at St. Wilfreds P.G. College, Jaipur?

    A:
    {Source: B.Com students & alumni}

Effectiveness of Placement Cell for B.Com Programs at St. Wilfred's P.G. College, Jaipur

Unfortunately, according to the statements provided by students and alumni, there is NO placement cell in the college. This means that the institution does not provide any assistance or support in terms of career counseling, resume-building, or job placement for its students.

    * One student mentioned that "the college does not have a placement cell" and that they did not receive any industry exposure or training.
    * Another student stated that the college does not provide internship opportunities, and replacements (placements) are not up to the mark.

It is essential to note that the college does not guarantee or promise placements to its students during the admission process. While some students may have gotten placed in top companies, such as Microsoft, Infosys, and Wipro, this seems to be an exception rather than the rule.

Overall, the lack of a dedicated placement cell suggests that students will need to take initiative themselves to find employment after graduating. However, it would be beneficial for the college to consider establishing a placement cell to better support its students' career goals.

I am satisfied with the faculty and their teaching methods, but the infrastructure can be improved.
Placements: Placements in our college are good. 30-40% of students of the passed-out batch got placed with an average package of 3-3.5 LPA. Many reputed companies like Microsoft, Infosys, Wipro, etc., visit the college for placements. The college provides good internship opportunities to students.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is not available, but the labs, library, and classrooms are available and are well maintained. There are no issues with hygiene. The basic infrastructure is available to fulfill all the needs of students. Sports facilities are excellent. Sports grounds are available, and sports coaches are also available to provide us with guidance.
Faculty: All the teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. They are very cooperative and helpful. This course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. There are no semester exams. Only the pre- university exams are conducted before the final university exams.

My hostel is in very decent place and having hundreds of trees and plants which make the environment clean and green and also make a eco friendly weather here. Infrastructure and building of my hostel is quite good and the facilities like electricity and water are available 24 hours. Food is also delicious and compared to other hostel's food it is quite good.
Faculty: Almost all the teachers are well qualified and did their post graduation from top institution like IIM and IIT’s. They have rich knowledge and clear our concepts in most appropriate manner. They ensure that students gain a good command over subjects and gain a deep knowledge. Semester exams are moderate as they are neither tough nor easy.

    Absolutely dissatisfied with the college.
Placements: Just 25-30% of students are placed. Mostly, the salary packages lie between 12,000 to 25,000 per month. Companies that came here are local companies and are small scale. The college doesn't provide placement training.
Infrastructure: There is no proper seating in the classrooms. The study environment is bad. It is a waste of money. No one is responsible here. They only need fees. Once you pay the fees, everyone will ignore you and your needs.
Faculty: The teachers are quite helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. They teach us only to get a degree. Semester exams are not conducted in the college. They conduct pre-board exams, which most of the students don't attend.

I am dissatisfied because of faculty members, but placements in 2015 were good.
Placements: Placements are not the priority of students of this college. Most of the students come here only for the graduation degree. This degree helps them in future. Here most of the students already have a good family business, so they don't require any type of placement.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is the best. In our entire college life, there is only one day when I visited the labs, library and sports room when I took admission.
Faculty: Faculty members are good, and they are the best in the area. However, students don't attend classes, and they like to sit in the tea stall. Still, faculty members never had a problem with any one of them. Even if you don't attend the class, faculty members don't have any problem.
