Be a Xaverian, Be an achiever.
Placements: (1) Around 89 percent.
(2) 1.2 crores, 12 Lacs, and 25 Lacs p.a.
(3) Not companies but colleges - Calcutta University, IITs, Bose Institutes, IISERs.
(4) 100 percent in the above-mentioned colleges + ISRO.
(5) Researcher, practical helping teacher, teacher.
Infrastructure: (1) College Wi-Fi is available, and neat, clean classrooms with projectors, 4 libraries with the best control, and labs for every topic and every course. Friendly assistant teachers for help.
(2) Good quality food, TT room present, a large infirmary room, all sports equipment present, and competitions held.
Faculty: (1) Teachers are highly qualified with PhDs from colleges across the globe. Always very eager to help and also very welcoming of doubts. Above all, they are able to convey knowledge to students.
(2) Our college was one of the first colleges to adapt to NEP. The lecture plan is made in such a way that students find it easy to study and revise on time. Yes, it also makes students industry-ready due to its exposure to daily activities.
(3) Semester exams are a little above average; however, due to excellent teaching, the pass percentage is around 94 percent.
Other: (1) Very logical and reasonable subject with a bright scope in future endeavors.
(2) Nothing more, everything is perfect.
(3) Xavotsav - a famous event. Every department conducts a yearly fest along with the societies, so the campus is filled with events all year round. Good connectivity as it is in the heart of Kolkata. The campus is quite green with many people, sometimes making it feel like a school. Different clubs and societies promote extracurricular activities like dance, music, acting, drama, etc.

Xavier's- A dream come true.
Placements: All students are capable of being selected for campus selection after they complete their course. Top recruiting companies like Wipro, ITC, Deloitte, and many more. Approximately 80–90% of students get internships at DE Shaw, IT companies, and many more.
Infrastructure: Our college has an average infrastructure. Classrooms have projector screens with all equipment, but some rooms are not air conditioned. There is a big library where students can go and study with a large variety of books. The hostel facility is good; food quality is average, but the rooms are big and clean.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful and approachable. They provide study material for exams, which is really helpful. The students gain immense knowledge from them. The exams are bit difficult but help students learn a wide range of The pass percentage is around 75-80%. The course offer the overall development of the students.

Extremely Strenuous but alright.
Placements: Only about 5 out of 65 students were placed through our college, moreover in subpar roles as assistants and entry-level technicians, both audio and video. There were no major players except TOI and Hindu as recruiters, and the packages were modest at best.
Infrastructure: All the labs and studios were above average, with decent equipment and furnished with the latest tech. We had iMacs to edit on individually and other sophisticated devices too. The canteen is okayish and modest but tends to lack healthier options, honestly.
Faculty: The teachers were all qualified, but in my opinion, some of them had an ineffective approach to teaching, making the material mundane and boring. To an extent, you may feel industry-ready if you want to focus on filmmaking. The difficulty is not much, and only one student had backlogs at the end of the course.
Other: Fests are fun and lively. Make sure to be a part of the organizing, as there is plenty of scope for everyone to do something. There is a lot of politics and drama, so people should anticipate and read carefully in that regard.

The college is okay. If you want the brand name, then you can join this college.
Placements:
The placements provided by this college are good enough for a person who is planning to proceed with degrees like B.Com, BBA, etc. People doing other courses like CA, CMA, CS, etc., might not go for these placements, and I am one of them. I do not apply for placements provided by the college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not good at all, in my opinion. Kolkata is already a place with so much humidity that it is hard to survive. On top of that, we have our classes in the evening, on the third floor, and to add more spice to it, there is no AC in an 80-seater classroom. On one bench, four people sit together and suffer in the summertime.
Faculty: The faculty is not very good, to be honest. They are average or below average. Teachers are knowledgeable, but they don't really know how to teach students. Semester exams are quite difficult in the college, and most students fail if they do not study properly during the papers.

The Essence of St. Xavier's college, Kolkata.
Placements: Last year, 90% of students in my course were placed. The highest package was in the range of 24-25 Lacs, the average package was 8-9 Lacs, and the lowest package was 4-5 Lacs. Some of the companies that visited our campus include Accenture, Deloitte, and D. E. Shaw.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the course is top notch, with an incredible library facility. Our library has subscriptions to several journals, and along with physical copies, loads of soft copies are available for students. The classrooms are massive and airy, and the labs are very advanced with good equipment. The hostel is neat and clean, and the people are very helpful.
Faculty: The teaching quality at our college is top notch, and the professors are very approachable. They have immaculate achievements and are kind and patient with students. The curriculum is up to date and teaches industry-relevant skills. Exams are of medium difficulty and are held every three months. The pass percentage is quite high, as only very good students are admitted to the college.
Other: The campus is always buzzing with activities and events. Several societies help you discover our true passion and drive us to do better every day. The college inspires us to think outside the box and innovate.

Review of my wonderful college.
Placements: There are no placements for Physics Honours. Other departments, like Biotechnology and Commerce, have placements every year. For Physics, it is better to go for higher studies, such as doing a Master's, Ph.D., and postdoctoral research.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very good. Laboratory instruments are not so well maintained. Wi-Fi facility is available, and library is very good. Almost all kinds of books are available. Food quality in the canteen is not so good every day, but for daily purposes, it is acceptable.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified, but some are not very good. Others are very student-friendly and help everyone grasp things easily. Semester exams are moderate to tough. Pass percentage is 26%. Students also become well-versed in various computational aspects of Physics.
Other: I chose this course as I want to go for research in Physics. There are a lot of career opportunities for this course.
