Q:   How effective is the placement cell for BDS courses at Sudha Rustagi College of Dental Sciences and Research?

    A:
    {Source: BDS students & alumni}

Effectiveness of Placement Cell for BDS Courses at Sudha Rustagi College of Dental Sciences and Research

Unfortunately, the placement cell at Sudha Rustagi College of Dental Sciences and Research seems to be ineffective in providing placements to its students. According to various student reviews, none of the placement opportunities are provided by the college, and instead, only internships are offered within the college premises. These internships may not be adequate in terms of experience and exposure, limiting the career prospects of graduating students.

Here are some key points summarizing the effectiveness of the placement cell:

    * No placements: None of the placement opportunities are provided by the college, leaving students without professional guidance or exposure.
    * Only internships: Internships are offered within the college premises, which may not be substantial enough to prepare students for the industry.
    * Limited experience and exposure: Without external placements, students may miss out on valuable learning opportunities and networking connections.

Overall, the placement cell appears to be underdeveloped, failing to provide adequate support to graduates entering the workforce. It is essential for the institution to revamp its placement strategies to better equip students for their future careers.

An honest review of Sudha Rustagi College of Dental Sciences and Research.
Placements: Placements were offered in non-clinical work only. There were very few placements because hardly two companies visited this college. The average salary offered was Rs.16,000 per month to Rs.18,000 per month, with which your expenses will not be covered. Unless you have a strong network, you can't get a good placement outside the college. You have to start learning practical concepts in clinics, and these clinics hardly pay you.
Infrastructure: There was no Wi-Fi facility. A few classrooms were air-conditioned, but it did not work well. The mics in classrooms did not work well. There were common rooms where all students of UG and PG had their lunch. Cleanliness was not up to the mark. The library was a good place with good furniture but had outdated books. You will not get international books for reference on a topic. The books were very few in number. If you have a class, then you are not allowed to sit in the library. There was no air-conditioning. There was a digital library, and it was a room with six outdated computers. They did not work properly. There were power cuts during college hours, so you could not stay in the hostel in the summer. The canteen provided oily food without taste, and limited options were available. There were coolers, but we were not allowed to use them. The principal permitted us to play sports after requesting a lot.
Faculty: Almost 100% of the faculty were well educated and teach us well. 90% of the staff were good. They supported students and had empathy for students. The course was completed on time, but practical knowledge was not provided. Exams were moderate and could be pass with good preparation.
Other: The campus environment was not so good.

Review of Sudha Rustagi College of Dental Sciences and Research.
Placements: There are approximately 500 students in my course and 100 students each year. Approximately 100 students get internships every year. The highest package offered is approximately 80,000 per year, the average package is 45,000 per year, and the lowest package is 20,000 per year.
Infrastructure: The food is average. The infrastructure is not so good. AC facilities are bad. The canteen is bad. Hostel facilities are also bad. Medical facilities are good. Sports and games are very less. Sports and games are played once in a year.
Faculty: Some teachers are helpful, and some are not. The teaching quality is good. Sometimes, exams may be difficult. The pass percentage is 50%. Teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. Teachers are very helpful. The curriculum is not much relevant.
Other: I chose this course because I want to be a dentist. We must get to visit more patients. The campus crowd is good.

Not liking it much, tbh but it is okay as syllabus is vast
Placements: Since gonna be in a medical clg that too private so u have to develop skills till the intern period and inculcate skills in the last year no placement is avl by clg it has an okay okay patient flow, many students r here with me and it is okay for me because I am not the person who judge others .
Infrastructure: I mean the curriculum is gud if u really wanna study it is you r getting into another school with strict rules and hope u all getting what I mean. U cannot leave the college without consent of ur parents. Other than that course is pretty tough same as mbbs so tie your back hard
Faculty: As mentioned studies are well and exams are held monthly with periodic tests to make u an ideal dentist no fest, no functions, likewise other clg no fests. Other than that u can not go out during the clg hours, practicals and exams will be held periodically, teachers are also good, I not faced any problem yet since I am an introvert. If u r an outgoing person than u had to shift to an introvert
Other: I chose this clg because it is the best clg currently in state since with the only motive to study, best of luck , if u wanna pursue dentistry then it is a good college. It was near to me that is why chose this and could not clear neet that is why got admission here. You have to study and become an obedient student with full uniform.

The college has really good infrastructure.
Placements: Sudha Rustagi College of Dental Science and Research has a placement rate of approximately 60-70% of students being placed in various private clinics and multinational companies. The highest package offered is up to 5 LPA. The college offers Bachelor's and Master's courses to students.
Infrastructure: The college has all the facilities like washrooms, library, classrooms, and labs. The hostel is very well constructed for students. There are clean washrooms. The students get a safe atmosphere to work there. They have a separate gym and games rooms.
Faculty: All the staff members are helpful and well educated. The course makes the students ready to work independently. They can open a clinic once they move out of the college. They are well prepared to treat patients efficiently. Semester exams are easy.
Other: The course is of most importance as people nowadays are very much concerned about esthetics. Every other person wants to visit a dentist for correction of their teeth.

I do not regret taking admission here. I do not suggest you choose this college for UG.
Placements: About 4-5 students got placement as it is a professional course, so there is not much in campus placement. The top recruiting company that visited the college in the previous year was Jadoo which hired interns for doing non-clinical work from home, and they are paying a good salary of Rs. 20,000 per month, which is good for fresh graduates.
Infrastructure: I stayed in the hostel for more than 4 years, and I think it needs a lot of changes and management. The fee for the hostel is more than 1.10 lacs, which is not at all good for the type of food we get over there. There are so much of unnecessary restrictions in the hostel as you need to take permission every time to go out. You do not get Maggi on campus, so you have to go out for that. You cannot go out after 6:30 PM.
Faculty: Staff members in our college are good and highly experienced. I personally felt like they are not that helpful. We have yearly exams. Exams are pretty difficult, and you have to study throughout the year to pass those exams. In the 1st to 3rd years, we have3 exams every year. In the final year, we have a total of 8 exams.
Other: There is only a single event in our college, and that is sports week. I suggest you think before choosing this college as life here is not that happening.

    Sudha Rustagi Tour!
Placements: 100 students per year enroll in BDS, and 27 students per year in MS. The total fee for the BDS course is 15 lacs at our college. All the students get internships after all the exams in 4 years of the course, and they secure internships in their own OPD. There are various top roles in this course.
Infrastructure: Good-ventilated air-conditioned lecture halls are provided with smart boards. Labs are well-maintained, with proper space for the students. The library is spacious and equipped with all the necessary materials for the course. Medical facilities are good, as there is a hospital for the college just behind the building.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable, and they are all helpful. This will make the students industry-ready. Semester exams in college are moderate. The pass percentage is approximately 85%. There are three internal exams and one final exam at the university.
