Placements in 2019 were good, and the faculty members were great.

Placements: Placements for the CSE department are good. I got placed in TCS, and most of my friends got placed in Cognizant, Capgemini, Informatica, etc. A sufficient number of companies visited the campus. If you have good basic knowledge, then you will definitely get placed.

It's an average college in West Bengal.

Placements: Placements in our college are very poor like in all other colleges. But, some of the students got good placements. The maximum students didn't get good placements. Most of the companies offered sales roles for B.Tech students. But now, the college is working on it. From our batch, more than 75% of the students didn't get placed from campus.

Not so satisfied with the college for placement part and Fest part.

Placements: Every year placements are not good. Some years it is average and some years it is below average. This year of 2015-2019 batch have got good placements and placements are still running. Many core companies came and recruited many of the students. This year till now in civil 40% students have been placed in different companies. In Diploma branch also many students are placed. Companies are still coming. But compared to this year last year campusing was the worst. Only 20-30% got placed. Apart from...

Dr. Sudhir Chandra Sur Degree Engineering College is the best.

Placements: I believe placements partly depend on the college and partly on the students. Placements of our college are almost 85%. Most of the students have got 3 to 4 jobs, and the rest have got at least 2 jobs in hand. Moreover, it also depends on how the students perform. Almost every student got a job. Some got jobs very early, and some have to wait.

I'm very dissatisfied with the institution.

Placements: Placements in the college are very bad. Students of the civil, mechanical and automobile engineering departments do not get placed. Only around 20% of students get placed mainly in the BPO sector. Core companies don't visit our college. Good IT companies like Infosys also do not visit our college for recruiting students. The companies recruit only 3 to 4 persons out of 3000 students.

JIS, Dum Dum is a new member of the JIS Group of Institutions.

Placements: Placements of the college are decent, and most of the students get placed through pool campus drives. Companies like CTS, HCL, Tech Mahindra and many more visit the campus for placements. The salary package offered is 3-3.5 LPA. The placements of our batch were below average as the placements were completely done through pool campus and off-campus drives. But the on-campus placements are not that good.

Dissatisfied with the teaching quality, faculty, and management.

Placements: There were no placements for both our seniors and us. Few fake companies come every year just for the sake of being there. They offer sales and BPO jobs to the candidate with an average package of around 2 LPA. Thereafter, they are not responsible for the placements and the placement cell is useless.

Really good infrastructure, good faculty, and the placements are satisfactory.

Placements: The college has average placements. College should invite more and more companies and train the students to get placements. Students are also required to put in full efforts towards their studies. The college should tie up with various MNCs for placements. Companies that visited last year are a few.

If you are not getting any good colleges, then you can come to this college.

Placements: The placements are average around 50%. Good companies rarely visit the campus. The average salary packages students get is 2-3 lacs per annum. Placement cell is averagely good, but it needs improvement. The college needs to provide a quality education for better future of the students.

Placements: In our college there are good placement. In electrical engineering department my 40 seniors placed in good company. In computer Science department also good placement in our college. In mechanical engineering also had good placement. And the senior are very good they behave their junior like there own brother.

Not satisfied with the decision took in 2015.

Placements: As per the reviews from the seniors. Placement was not all good. One of my senior was given a job of a labour in one of the company during his training period. No top company comes for the job. Some low standard company giving job in far away states with salary 10k or like that.

Absolutely satisfied because of money, good placement in 2016.

Placements: Here, the placement takes place depending on your skill. The minimum cricterion for being selected for placement is 60% marla. Many companies visit for recruitment, but the selection is done purely based on the performance of the student's. The companies which visit here are renowned and some of them being IBM and Tech Mahindra. The highest allotted salary known is of INR 13LPA, whereas the lowest is 2.8LPA. So if one deserves a job, he will surely be selected and not neglected.

A decent college in making.

Placements: The placement here is not very commendable as of now. The average package for CSE department is approximately 2.6 Lacs per annum. Capgemini is a major recruiter here in JIS group colleges. Various other IT recruiters recruit with the salary around 15k per month. Internships depend on the students of what they do.

Bad college, loss of money.

Placements: In civil engineering only 4 students placed in my batch. Previous years no campusing. Only high tuition fees compared to other college. Only pool campusing was organised. I thought to get job from pool campusing but most of the companies was from marketing and IT domain.

Dr Sudhir Chandra Sur Degree Engineering College review.

Placements: The placements are poor. When compared to present situation engineering placements, then this college is much better. The companies that visited the campus will not provide us with a job. EE, civil, and mechanical students are applying for IT sector job. The companies like Ericsson, Wipro, TCS, Tech Mahendra, etc., came for campusing.

I can say it is a good college for diploma in automobile.

Placements: There many companies that come for placement in this college. If you are thinking about doing diploma in automobile, come and join in this college because many companies offer you jobs just before the completion of your diploma course, i.e. in the 3rd year or say in the 5th semester.

Overall, good except admission cell and their behaviour. The placement and infrastructure are good.

Placements: IT companies are taking too many students from every college, though this college brought some core companies, where more than 15 students are placed in a single company from mechanical engineering department both in an on-campus and off-campus drive for 2018 pass out batch. Our senior 2017 batch was the only batch those are not got placed in mass quantity from college. Overall, the placement is good.

Perfect infrastructure and Placement.

Placements: The placement was very good. 60% students of my batch were placed. The companies like Tech Mahindra, Pinnacle, Infotech, Rivigo etc., have visited the campus. The placement cell is very active. Tech Mahindra offered the highest salary and Rivigo was 25000 per month.

The college has good infrastructure, facilities and it is located in a good place.

Placements: The placements are average. The departments of computer science and electronics are getting relatively more placements than other departments like mechanical, automobile and civil. In 2016 there is a good campusing, but in 2017 the campusing is not good because the IT mass recruiters did not come to the college. The same situation happened in all the colleges of West Bengal this year.
