July 1, 2021: The School of Branding and Advertising (SOBA), which is part of SVKM's NMIMS Deemed-to-be-university, one of India's leading educational institutions with a 41-year legacy of academic excellence, has signed Memorandums of Understanding with 120 Media Collective, one of India's most influential digitally-oriented companies, and the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI), the country's leading advertising industry association. Manisha Kapoor, ASCI Secretary General; Suhas Ambre, 120 Media Collective Head-Talent & Culture; and Dr. Meena Chintamaneni, Registrar, NMIMS Deemed-to-be University signed the agreements.

July 1, 2021: The School of Branding and Advertising (SOBA), which is part of SVKM's NMIMS Deemed-to-be-university, one of India's leading educational institutions with a 41-year legacy of academic excellence, has signed Memorandums of Understanding with 120 Media Collective, one of India's most influential digitally-oriented companies, and the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI), the country's leading advertising industry association. Under the terms of the collaboration, both 120 Media Collective and ASCI will enable NMIMS School of Branding and Advertising students gain on-the-ground experience by working on campaigns, research, ad films, branding exercises, media management, media planning, creative writing, and more. Students who successfully complete the required tasks will receive certificates. Students will be able to interact with the leadership of both organisations through master courses or webinars. 120 Media Collective will also provide internships to final-year students who have excelled in their studies.
ASCI, which was founded in 1985, investigates complaints against advertisements in all media and ensures that they follow its Code for Self-Regulation, which requires advertisements to be legal, ethical, honest, and true, not hazardous or destructive, and to compete fairly. ASCI will also undertake an e-learning programme for third-year students to familiarize them with the Code for Self-Regulation as part of the agreement.
