HR College is known to be one of the most reputed college for commerce and economics in Mumbai. It is recognized for its leadership potential, its teaching excellence, its innovative learner-centric approach and its strong international linkages. Even though the infrastructure is limited it doesn't stop the college from pursuing its higher dreams of quality education for its students. Apart from academics the college places a great emphasis on overall development of its students by encouraging t...

One of the best faculties in town for BMS especially the visiting faculty, imparting intensive knowledge and real time market experience. The crowd here is a mix of both worlds. Better than BBI and B.Com (of course) but a li'l dull and boring as compared to other colleges around. College life is always fun when U get the right set of people around. And yes, you'll get a plenty of them here. The management is slightly on a disappointing side as there is no motivation for talent and extra-curricul...

First Commerce College east of the Suez. Spent my entire college life there and I would take an opportunity to show some of the students what Sydenham actually is. First of all, Sydenham has a number of degree course options from General B.Com, BMS and BBI and soon to start BAF along with vocational courses in Foreign Trade and NSE certified capital market courses. Two MCom options for specialization in banking & insurance as well as Accounts, as well each with morning and evening batches. Secon...

Leftovers. Any person here, is here because they have been rejected by any other college. Shaggy infrastructure, utter indiscipline but like the rest one it has a great Canteen. And I must admit the "Bournvita" had kept me more than the course or the environment.

It’s one of the oldest and most prominent institution in south Mumbai. It is very near to the local railway station church gate. The faculty is nice and good. The gym of the college is well equipped with latest and modern equipment’s. The British look of the college is adding beauty and heritage look to the structure.

Like me, Sydenham was the second choice of most people after HR or Xavier’s. As this is a government college, its infrastructure is poor, office staff is rude, and faculty members remain absent. However, I would still strongly recommend Sydenham BMS to those who were not able to make it in HR, Xavier’s, Jai Hind, NM, or Podar. Reason being the brand name and placements. Every guy in my class who wanted to get placed was placed in companies like Google, KPMG, E&Y, etc. to name a few. Faculty, tho...

Studying in Sydenham College was a great experience. Well to start with the professors they are amazing. The campus was cool enough. The environment was filled with loads of energy. I really cherish the moments spent at the college. Today I am proud to declare myself as a student of this college. When it comes to placement provided by the college they were one of the best in the market and I am still continuing the same.

The college is nearest to the queens necklace - Sydenham

Placements: Sydenham College is one of the oldest and supreme colleges in India and always considered as the supreme hub for the placements. I have both graduations (B.Com) and post graduation (M.Com) and also have done the diploma in foreign trade from this college. During my graduation placements, the companies like Jones Lang Lassale and various new startups were the part of recruiters.

It’s an awesome experience studying in Sydenham College. Crowd is fabulous. Very refreshing atmosphere at canteen. College staff is of very helping nature. No discrimination between students. Enjoyed a lot at brouhaha festival. And to be a part of organizing committee of brouhaha festival was the dream come true.

Overall, this is a good college to recommend to others, and a lot of good companies visit here.

Placements: Sydenham Institute of Management Studies, Research, and Entrepreneurship Education (SIMSREE) has successfully maintained an impressive placement record by achieving 100% placements even in 2020, with the highest package being 20 LPA. The college also offers placement assistance to the students through the college placement cell. Students got placed in reputed MNCs and banks.

105 year old brand name. Great networking opportunities and huge opportunities for extra-curricular.

Placements: The placements were good with companies like Royal Bank of Scotland, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance and Deloitte visiting the campus. Since, most students were doing professional courses, most students opted out of the placement process. Hence out of the remaining students, approximately 60-70% was placed. The average salary offered will be around 16K for back office analytical roles and sales. Regarding internship, it was not compulsory for B.Com graduates to do an internship and hence, the co...

This college has great professors and excellent facilities.

Placements: Placements in this college was not easier for general cast holder. If students had any quota then it was great to achieve seats, the special course had compulsory attendance, good college for multi-task students. If students were pursuing chartered accountant they must join this college, because there no problem for any attendance. This college was a government college so, the paperwork was slow as compared to other colleges, and it depend on students.

Opportunities in career!

Placements: You will get opportunities for placement. As it is asia's first college its reputation is really good in other countries. We have seats reserved for others countries like UK, us, Canada, these are the plus point in being a sydenamite and while you can get good placement after your graduation itself companies like Google, kotak, jp morgan come for placement.

For Great knowledge and for great experience do join Sydenham.

Placements: There are good placement cells in the college which provide us with better career opportunities like E&Y which is a Big 4 firm. There are great opportunities in placements as u don't get much of competition in the college and for marketing, it's very good. College also has committees who manage all the placements so that all the information related to placement cell should reach to the interested students.
