Review of Sydenham College.

Placements: Around 40%-50% of students got placed. Every year in January, around 30 companies visit our college including some big companies like KPMG, SBI TRIDENT, etc., The average salary package offered is 3.5 LPA for the students who got placed. Sydenham College is well known for its placement.

Review of Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics.

Placements: The on-campus placements for B.Com students were very low in our college. Many good companies did not visit our campus. There were no campus placements for B.Com and it was the same in every college in Mumbai which offers honors in bachelor of commerce.

This education institute provides decent knowledge and great qualifications.

Placements: From our course, the majority of the students are pursuing other courses, or preparing for competitive exams. Normally, for security purpose, they pursue B.Com. Nowadays, most of the students will start doing jobs after completing their course. So, pursuing B.Com is good for graduation purpose.

Right place for no attendance issues.

Placements: For B.Com we did not have any placements back then in 2015. Internship offers had just begun. As far as I remember, firms like KPMG and a few banks had offered associate internship roles. Stipend offered should be around Rs. 7000-8000. No placement cell in place.

The faculty and placements in our college are good, but the infrastructure is average.

Placements: Talking about my batch, since we were in the third year, no one got placed through college placements yet. In our senior batches, most of the students got placed in better and good companies. The pictures of students with contact number and names have placed on the notice boards. The salary package offered to placed students depends on their field only. If you were a B.Com pass out student, then according to their capabilities, it is decided, but on an average, the placed students got salary aro...

I am not happy with 3 years experience in this college & would have been better if chosen other one.

Placements: In the last 2 to 3 years, what I have seen is, the big MNCs coming to Sydenham College for direct campus placements. In the previous academic year (i.e., 2016-17), KPMG and E&Y have participated in campus recruitment and selected many candidates. I don't know the percent of students who got the internship from college neither do I know how much lowest, average or highest stipend is offered.

Good infrastructure but lacks at placements and good faculty.

Placements: Placements for BMS students are very good. Big 4 audit firms in India select students via interviews. You can easily get placed in small and mid-sized CA firms generally getting a package ranging from 2 - 3.5 LPA. Every year, the college pins up the notices of campus placements after which interviews are conducted by banks, NBFCs and some companies.

Sydenham, was a first home to me where I was introduced to the real world. As a first Commerce College of Asia, it carries rich history and heritage which is a matter of pride. It not only teaches Commerce but also helps one to understand the various traits which are required in the professional world.
