Tolani College of Commerce was established in the year 1989 in the North Eastern suburbs of Mumbai. With a stimulating atmosphere for teaching- learning and research, the college has been functioning in the industry with the major objective of providing progressive and relevant education to its students from all sections of society.
Since its establishment, it offers degree programmes to candidates at the undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) level. Programmes offered at Tolani College of Commerce are in streams including –Business and Management and Accounting & Commerce.
Tolani College of Commerce Minimum Eligibility Criteria for UG and PG courses
BCom
Candidates need to pass class 12th from a recognised board with not less than 50% aggregate marks (45% in case of reserved candidates) for Accounting & Finance and Banking & Insurance stream and not less than 45% marks (40% in case of reserved candidates) for Financial Markets stream.
Second Year of BCom
Candidates need to pass FY BCom or equivalent in the relevant stream from a recognised university to seek admission to SY BCom in the concerned stream.
Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS)
Candidates who have passed class 12th from a recognised board can seek admission to this course.
Second Year of BMS
Candidates need to pass FY BMS or equivalent from a recognised university to seek admission to SY BMS.
Bachelor of Science (Information Technology)
Candidates need to pass class 12th & Higher Secondary or its equivalent with not less than 45% marks in aggregate at first attempt (40% in case of reserved category).
Second Year of Bachelor of Science (Information Technology)
- Candidates need to pass FY BSc (IT) or equivalent from a recognised university to seek admission to SY BSc (IT).
- Candidates who have passed 3-year Diploma after SSC (10th) in Information Technology / Computer Science / Computer Technology / Computer Engineering /Electrical, Electronics and Video Engineering with Civil & allied branches are also eligible for direct admission to this degree course. However, the Diploma should be from a recognised government body and the candidate must have scored 45% aggregate (40% for reserved category candidates).
OR
- Candidate having post HSC-Diploma in Information Technology / Computer Engineering / Computer Technology / Computer Science and allied branches are eligible for direct admission to the 2nd-year. However, the Diploma should be from a recognised government body and the candidate must have scored 45% aggregate (40% for reserved category candidates).
Master of Commerce (MCom)
For Part 1- Candidates who have passed BCom (or equivalent) from a recognised university can seek admission to Part 1 course.
For Part2- Candidates who have passed MCom (Part 1) from a recognised university can seek admission to Part 2 course.

Tolani College of Commerce Admission Process and Application Process
The admission process for all the courses is online and based on the merit scores obtained in the qualifying exams.
For UG Courses
All the candidates are required to submit:
- Filled course relevant admission form (available at the college office)
- Photographs: 1 passport size, 4 stamp size
- Candidates also need to bring all the original documents for verification during submission of the respective documents
Candidates from Tolani College of Commerce (Junior College):
- One copy of class 10th leaving certificate (attested)
- Original and 2 attested copies of class 10th mark sheet
Candidates from any other college:
- One copy of class 10th leaving certificate (attested)
- Original and two attested copies of class 12th mark sheet
- Original and one attested copy of 12th leaving certificate or original and two attested copies of the TC
- (a) Candidates under the linguistic (Sindhi) minority quota need to submit an affidavit on stamp paper of 100 INR certified by a notary stating that they belong to the Sindhi minority, and / or (b) Those seeking admission under any reserved categories are required to submit an attested copy of their relevant certificate/ document
For candidates from colleges that are not affiliated to the Maharashtra board need to submit the following apart from the documents mentioned above:
- Provisional Eligibility Certificate Application (form is available at the college)
- Original and 2 attested copies of Passing Certificate (issued by the relevant board)
- Original and 2 attested copies of Migration Certificate (If there’s any board that is not submitting the migration certificate, the candidate need to produce a letter in this effect from the board)
For PG Courses
All the candidates are required to submit
- Filled MCom admission form (available at the college office)
- Photographs: 1 passport size, 4 stamp size
- Candidates also need to bring all the original documents for verification during submission of the respective documents
Candidates who are graduates from Tolani College of Commerce
- One copy of BCom or equivalent mark sheet: for admission in Part 1 (attested)
- One attested copy of MCom Part 1 mark sheet: for admission in Part 2
Candidates from any other college
- One attested copy of class 10th leaving certificate
- One attested copy of BCom (or equivalent) mark sheet
- One attested copy of MCom (Part I) mark sheet
