Opt the college if you are doing other courses and also want to become a graduate.

Placements: Currently, some of my friends got placements from Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. My seniors also got placements in their time. You can get jobs before the exam of the part-III. It's a great college for me. Every different company take placements in this college. They offered good package.

The college is good for B.Com (Hons). Attendance is not compulsory if opted for a vocational course.

Placements: Placements from our college were decent every year. Some of us have got placements in accounting and auditing firms as an employee. Based on merit, an average salary of Rs. 15,000 per month can be expected after completion of the 3rd year itself. This college is recommended for the ones who have opted for any professional courses other than B.Com. Such courses include Chartered Accountancy (CA), Companies Secretary (CS), and alike courses. This is because of the reason that attendance here is no...

Go only if you don't want to attend college.

Placements: If you're coming to the college for placements, then the college is not for you as there are any campus placements. The college is just good for completing B.Com and listing any professional course as it is a non attending college. Only once a senior told me that he was told that there was college placement during his time.

My college, my memories, life for 3 long years, the kachoriwala outside college, and such memories.

Placements: I had many opportunities for placement, but as I am doing CA, also I preferred getting placed after completing CA. The college helped me with my CA course too. Hope when I complete CA then both college degree and CA degree will give me my best productive result.

My college is good. But, they have to make their infrastructure more better.

Placements: My institution gives varieties of job opportunities to the students of the college. 3-4 companies visit our college every year, and they provide 4 lacs package and other retirement benefits. Our college also provides many other opportunities to all the students so that they can move forward in their life and achieve goals.

Budget suiting and CU degree.

Placements: There is no such big placement just a good degree. Some local companies visit here and hire some students. The college helps in the internships and other activities. It promotes different types of sports and organises different sports completion. You will love it.

A college you are seeking for.

Placements: The placement of this college is very good. Many MNCs are now starting to come to our college. They give a decent amount of package according to your score credibility. There is more probability of placement if your score in B.Com Honours is great and the decent companies are also coming nowadays.

Cheap and best college. It is worth for the money.

Placements: It is not like the other top college. This college is good, but when you come to placement, this college doesn't provide good placement. The college teachers teach very well, but for this, the student must be attentive. You can't blame for poor marks to teachers because it's your responsibility.

Dissatisfied with the faculty members and the office staff on the campus.

Placements: There are no such placement opportunities provided by the college, but in my time, Tata Consultancy Services visit our college to recruit us for the BPS job. They select some students and train for 72 hours for the communication skills, and but the pay scale was low.

Absolutely satisfied with my college and its faculty members.

Placements: Generally, TCS is the company which visits every year for placements, and about 10% of the students got placement. The average salary offered is 25,000. The highest salary is not disclosed. However, the students get a decent job from campus. Also, the students can continue with their articleship if they are doing CA as the college hours are in the morning thus suitable for those who are pursuing the professional course as well.

This is the best commerce college in Kolkata.

Placements: My senior students got the placement in banks, Tata and Ca Farm, etc., across India. The average salary offered to them is around Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 20,000 on their ability and skills. The students got their jobs in TCS or Ca Farm for the lower level clerks and the accounts department.

A best and well-known college for commerce located in the heart of Kolkata.

Placements: The placements provided in this college are good as the students of this college are placed over different corporations and in different designations. The salary at which they are hired is pretty good which is a maximum of Rs. 4.8 lakhs per annum. Nearly 80% of the students are placed.

A good college for professional students.

Placements: My college doesn't offer any placements. It's a graduation college. You got to earn your degree here by self-studying. You get the whole day empty so that you can take up any other professional course. It's morning classes are really helpful. You learn various subjects over the years.

Perfect for you, if you don't want to have issues relating to attendance.

Placements: Thie facility of providing placements was not available till 2015 or so, but it has now been started, and few candidates got selected by Tata Consultancy Service (TCS). TCS was the only company that came for placements. The starting salary offered was around 8k to 10k with working hours of more than 8 hours. The roles offered to the selected candidates was of providing service to the customers by solving their queries relating to a specific product.

Umes Chandra College review

Placements: I didn't get placed, not because of the college, but just because I was pursuing other courses as well. About the other students, most of them were pursuing other courses like me, so I don't know whether they wanted to get placed or not. Students get an average percentage usually.

Overall, a good college for pursuing B.Com from Calcutta University

Placements: Umes Chandra College is only a commerce college following the curriculum of Calcutta University and providing Bachelors degree in B. Com honours and general. No placement is facilitated by the college, unlike a medical or engineering college. However, in the previous years, some companies had come to the college for recruiting interns for the finance department.

The best college for CA/ computer science/ CMA aspirants in the heart of Kolkata.

Placements: No on-campus placement arrangement was there, but all the students have scored very well, and they have got good jobs in the off-campus based on that. More than 50% were pursuing CA/computer science/ CMA when they completed the graduations. Hence, they did not approach any job opportunities.

The college is best to join if you want to pursue some professional course.

Placements: At the end of the term, TCS comes for placement. After some rounds of written test and interview, if you clear it, you will be handed an appointment letter. Most of the students in our college did not intend to join any company as they were either engaged in some professional courses like CA/CS or were about to join their family business. Those who applied had a fair chance of placement. The average salary would be somewhere around Rs. 13,000-15,000.

Average college with good learning.

Placements: The college does not provide the placements because it has a low network with the corporate sector, as the college only provides the undergraduate courses like B.Com. But the college has the strength of 1200 students.

Overall, a good college for getting a degree from CU.

Placements: It is very important to make it clear that this is only a commerce degree college unlike an engineering or medical college that provides you with a professional degree. Despite the fact, the companies like TATA and Wipro had come before, for recruiting interns. Note: Many students do professional courses, for example, CA, CS or CMA separately along with pursuing B.Com.
